Hotel Gala Placidia in Benidorm Alicante, April 2026. Great vibes. Room on 7th floor. Fantastic value for money. Staff extremely friendly and Hotel very clean.

This hotel is ok, the rooms are dated. But we didn't spend our trip in the room. The staff are friendly and the food is ok, you wouldn't starve. We paid extra for premium drinks, which I'm glad we did. Overall we had a good long weekend in Benidorm.

Nice place to stay, near shops,near plenty restaurants and walking distance to the beach, lovely hotel, good breakfast and love the vegetable paella...

Went the week before Easter 26 for 9 days. Was approx £1K for 2 (incl. flights/transfers) for All Incl. hotel. Just a getaway at the end of winter, so had no unreasonable (or particularly high) expectations. I think we struck lucky with the Gala. An unassuming hotel 100 metres from busy area but very clean, well-run, good layout in rooms. Room cards work, rooms cleaned every day if required, instant hot water for shower/sink, lifts work well and quickly. Food was very good; breakfast as most 3/4* hotels. Choice of lunch/evening food much better than expected (we stayed at a 5* in Croatia last year where the choice was better, quality of food similar, but Croatia cost double). Restaurant staff excellent, tables cleared quickly. Bar staff on the ball. Special thanks to Danilo (in restaurant who tolerated my weak attempts to speak Spanish) and Lola on animation. Also, something on every evening, from live acts to quizzes etc - Gala makes an effort to do this - we have been many other places that do not. Plenty of outside space around bar pools and main pool. Note: look out for the sweet cats that live around the main pool. Regardless of cost, we will remember Gala Placidia as one of the better (2* to 5*) hotels we have stayed in the past 30 years.

Really clean and friendly hotel, good choice of food and drinks on all inclusive. Great location a few minutes walk from the strip, only downside is the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything and I mean everything that is going on around you. Spotless and nothing too much trouble

Food I was sooo pleasantly surprised. Came not expecting much but enjoyed it. Staff were so nice. Vanessa behind the downstairs bar makes the BEST pina colada and was lovely. Walls are thin and someone kept being such each night waking us up so sleep wasn’t great but obviously not hotels fault. All in all. It’s a great location, good value for money. Be aware the transfers won’t drop u/pick up outside the hotel so you have to walk and find it yourself without any instructions.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and really enjoyed our time here. The team put on an amazing spread, with a great selection of food every night. Everything was well presented and plentiful, and we loved it especially the freshly grilled and fried meat and fish, which were excellent.

For anyone wanting to eat healthily, the salad selection was fantastic, with plenty of choice and very fresh ingredients. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a great variety of fruit available each morning.

It was also lovely to see how friendly the team are, from the front desk right through to the housekeeping staff everyone was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

It was nice to see Heineken Zero included as part of the all-inclusive offering a thoughtful touch that we really appreciated.

One small downside was that there were no hot drinks available at lunchtime or in the evening, which would have been a welcome addition. That said, it didn’t take away from our overall enjoyment of the stay.

The location is amazing: close enough to comfortably walk into town, yet far enough away to sleep undisturbed at night especially if you treat yourself to an extra pillow ( there's are too hard )!

Overall, a really enjoyable stay with great food, a relaxed atmosphere, and a location that’s hard to beat. We would happily return.

Came to gala for my sisters 40 th last weekend and had a fabulous time. One bar man was rude but all the others where lovely if you take the time to be nice and pleasant to them then they are the same back Check in was straight forward we where allocated the family room 115 and it was great was a big room with 3 beds and pull out bed no balcony but not bothered as weather was not good, had foam mattress and foam pillows a lovely walk in shower my sister is disabled so we requested a walk in shower rooms cleaned daily and clean towels kettle and a small fridge was also in the room. Drinks where plenty and ok Food was also luke warm but they is a microwave and plenty of choice Snack bar does burgers hotdogs toasties and crisps the poor barman was doing both and doing a good job just be patient he is doing his best You get a plastic token for a plastic cup when you go outside don’t lose it and don’t forget to return your cup or will have to pay for another one It can be very noisy so if your a light sleeper take ear plugs I’ve learnt thro past experience but 115 was lovely and quite All in all I had a blast and already looking to book again hubby will be their in may

What a great hotel. From the receptionist that welcomed us. Then we go to the bar staff Eladio l. What a nice guy. He knew what all our drinks were. Then Lau the entertainment was fantastic. She had the crowds. So involved. It was such great night. Thanks once again. Cotrina Scotland
