Hotel Melina in Benidorm

The best thing we have experienced in this hotel was the entrance, thanks to the girl at the reception who has been wonderful with us, friendly and close. After that, everything has been horrible. When we entered the room we realized that this was not what they offered on the website, there they had rooms with a more current style. Our room was like one from the 2000s, nothing like the style they offered. But if it were only that, I wouldn't be writing this opinion. The mattresses were thin and bad, the kind where everything hurts when you wake up. The pillows were made of poor foam, dirty and twisted from being used so much. The bathroom was small, if you looked towards the toilet from the wash you could see the remains of excrement still stuck, they don't clean it properly. As for the shower, there is simply no shower tray, what there is is a tap that allows you to shower with a drain (with a hose full of coiled black hairs that we assume were from a previous guest, since I am blonde and my husband doesn't have that long hair). When we went to shower in the morning, what a spectacle! Our bathroom flooded two seconds after turning on the tap, we even had to put a towel on the floor so it wouldn't go into the room. As for the rest of the staff (apart from the friendly girl at the entrance), terrible. We called the reception to inform them that this did not correspond to what was advertised on the website and a super rude guy answered, he told me that it was the first time they had told him that. I told him to look at the photos of what they offered and to come look at the room they had given us. The boy answered me completely that he knew his hotel perfectly and that (according to him) it was the same. In short: cleanliness that makes you want to vomit, current on the outside but almost tell-me time on the inside and terrible service.
