Nice hotel, big apartments.

We arrived on our first day ready to check in at reception and found no one there! The doors were shut with metal doors over them. We waited a good hour sat outside on the steps with all our luggage trying to call different people and even trying the emergency numbers on the door and still no luck when eventually someone turned up and said they were out cleaning the rooms?! Should there not be someone else doing this and someone on reception 24/7?! This was our first day and we only went for 3 days so we’re annoyed at the wasted time. We got to the room and it was lovely apart from the bath/shower which was covered in hair and dirt presumably from the last people that stayed there. We were also told that if we checked out before 10am to just leave our keys on the table in the room as the doors self locked when you shut them. We did this until we realised that we needed one of these keys to actually get on to the main road out a gate!! So at 5am we were having to climb over the gate with our luggage to get out as we had left our key and the room had locked! Reception doesn’t open till 10am.

I have stayed at this place before in a lovely apartment. Upon arrival my son and I were put in what I can only describe as an old and tired apartment this time. It wasn’t clean with dirt and dust under the beds food droppings down the side of the fridge, so low and behold there were cockroaches! The furniture was dirty and stained and they still expected people to sit on it. No coat hangers, kitchen ill equipped no toaster just bare minimum. We told reception who sent in a cleaner again, all surface cleaning as dust and dirt was still there. Not a place i will stay at again.

Could do a lot better
Cleanish room with a cockroach visitor one night, vary bare furnishings no water or tea /coffee in a welcome pack like we used to get.
Staff offered to spray apartment.
Beds like campbeds small and hard.

Excellent helpful person on reception to welcome us. Pleased with apartment though en- suite shower cubicle needed a deep clean. Very well maintained pleasant gardens and pool area. Restaurant choices close by were adequate for a week stay.

This collection of apartments is situated on the A7 between Puerto Banus and Estapona. I was sceptical after reading other reviews and we are so glad we ignored and booked this property. We chose a 2 bed apartment and it was lovely. Plenty of space, modern, bright with all of the amenities you could need. Situated on a small development the apartments created a ‘village’ feel and was only a short walk to the beautiful pool and we never failed to find a sun bed. The grounds are well manicured and looked after. Other reviews mentioned dirty properties - not at all. Our apartment was spotlessly clean and the maid came half way through our stay to change the bed/fresh towels etc. Now, the apartments are situated right on the A7 so the downside is there is some traffic noise when you are on your balcony, the upside being they are ideally situated to explore the local area. One tip - you really do need a car (which we had) it is about 15 mins drive into Estapona and 12 or so minutes to Puerto Banus. There are a cluster of bars/restaurants which are walking distance (on the doorstep) but the car will allow you much more freedom. Overall a fab stay in a great part of Costa Del Sol. Would recommend Ona Club Bena Vista to anyone looking for a chilled out holiday with the flexibility to come and go and experience the delights Spain has to offer

Good and bad
The stay was ok, basic but functionable apartment. On arrival i had to ask for clean bedding as the pillows has hairs and the sheets were dirty. But the office manager was great, and replaced them immediately, very good service from the office manager.
On our last day, cleaning staff came into the apartment at 0845 without knocking. We were still in our underwear, and the children were still sleeping. This was a bit off, as checkout isn't until 10am. They should not be entering apartment's during occupancy without knocking first.

Everything about these apartments ranges from dirty to filthy. I stayed in two different apartments over 3 weeks. Neither had a single chair or sofa that was not stained/soiled all over. The floors were dirty on arrival and crunched up crisps from previous guest littered the sofa. A sticky unknown substance on the floor. On arrival rooms filled with mosquitos. Housekeeping at least turned up in apartment 1 but cleaning was minor, quick toilet clean and sheet change. I have been in 2nd apartment for 14 days so far and bed was changed on day 3 and nothing since. Using bed change loosely, actually just stripped bed put on bottom sheet inside out on both beds and left the rest of the sheets lying on the dirty floor at the bottom of each bed. On day 10 towels were changed, towels removed from bathroom and new towels dumped on table. The new towels were dirty on arrival, make up staining I hope. No buckets/bins have been emptied by housekeeping. Neither apartment got sun on the balcony that would be suitable for sun bathing. Would not recommend. For the price point it should at least be clean.

Another excellent stay at Bena Vista. This time I decided on a two bedroom apartment and it was gorgeous! It was spacious and bright and had everything I needed for a weeks stay. It was very clean. It was so hot during my stay, but the air conditioning in the apartments kept me cool. The staff at Bena Vista are so lovely from the housekeepers, to the gardeners and the reception team. David especially is very helpful and always has a smile. Until next time, Bena Vista.

What!! 5.95 euros for a can of cider and 6.95 for a dried up jacket potato. Avoid this place. There are far nicer places to eat nearby.

Bistro Cherito had good food of very generous portions! The food wasn't excellent, but it was tasty and very reasonably priced. The music inside the restaurant was very loud so we chose to be seated outside, although the road being very nearby was also quite distracting.
The service was efficient but the waitresses didn't seem very cheerful or bothered that we were there and we had to go inside to the bar to order some coffee and puddings.
For pudding I ordered the apple crumble, when it was delivered it was actually more like a slice of an apple tart with a pastry base with cooked apples on top, the taste was quite bizarre and was clearly not made on the premises.
I gave 3 stars because it was a convenient location, was one of very few restaurants open at 17:00 and the food was okay too. We cam here because Don Juan, across the street, was not serving food.

Staff seemed like the had no clue of where they where or what they where doing. A family arrived about 10 minutes after us and received their full English before us. Two of the most vile orange juices I've ever tried (sunny delight equivalent of and orange juice. Disgusting) both oj's cost us 7€.. So 3,5€ for each watered down Sunny Delight "orange juice". I feel completely ripped off.
I wouldn't go back there even if they started serving breakfast for free.

This is a very nice relaxed friendly bar if you sit on the roadside, if you have kids its a kids paradise took my friends boy here and he loved it spent over an hour playing in the large kiddies park. It’s really well thought out and comfortable. The area where the parents sit is all non smoking which is great because I hate smoke and it’s obviously not good for the kids. The food is cheap and cheerful and they have efficient table service can’t fault it. They serve Estrella on draft which I love so I’m happy. They stream live sports events and you can relax in the soft seat areas to watch the match or boxing. They charge 4 Euro for a pint which isn’t bad considering the facilities for children. They do specials such as chicken fajitas for 2 and a free bottle of wine for 20 Euro that’s an amazing price when you consider Las Iguanas in the UK will charge you £16 for chicken fajitas for 1, los Arcos is definitely value for money.

A beautiful venue with a fantastic outdoors area; lots of outside seating and ready access to beverages for parents, with safely enclosed jungle gyms and rides for kids. An amazingly relaxing way for parents and their friends to spend an evening!

I love to go here wih my kids. They run free without danger and I can have a coffee in peace with a friend. The only problem is you have to speak English. I noticed that my Spanish friends weren't getting noticed by the waiters or getting served. As soon as I spoke to one in English they came right over.
