Hotel Carabeo in Nerja

We spent 6 nights in this charming boutique hotel in the heart of Nerja in October and had a wonderful time. The staff are friendly and the hotel is very clean and well maintained. We stayed in El Salon for 4 nights and then switched to a double room for the last two nights due to no availability at time of booking. El Salon was so pretty with lots of old world charm. The bed was super comfy and the room had a separate area with tv and armchairs which led out to a small balcony that overlooked the sea. The double room was much smaller in comparison and faced the road but equally tastefully decorated. The pool area is stunning and so relaxing. We ate in the renowned Restaurant 34 one night and were not disappointed! Fabulous food and ambience and excellent service. Breakfast each morning was delightful also. Hotel Carabeo is right in the centre of Nerja, only a few minutes walk to the famous Balcon D’Europa. And there are plenty of small cove beaches nearby also. We really enjoyed our stay, big thanks to all the staff.

We recently stayed in this gorgeous boutique hotel in the heart of Nerja. I almost don’t want to write this review as I’d like to keep it a secret!! I was recommended the hotels restaurant 34 by friends and discovered it was also a small hotel. The hotel only has 7 rooms. I booked the hotels smallest room street side and wasn’t expecting too much. The room was indeed small but had everything we needed and we had a nice spacious bathroom. I know there are other rooms with stunning sea views but as we were out a lot of the time we didn’t mind and we could enjoy the views from the hotels pool area. The pool is small but all you need for a dip to cool off. I had it to myself most days. It was a wonderfully calm space. Breakfast was yummy with fresh breads, pastries, fruits, meats and cheeses, juice all you could want and served by a lovely friendly lady. We ate in restaurant 34 do yourself a favour and try it the food and service was fantastic. We booked early and had a table right at the edge overlooking the sea. The hotel also has a small tapas restaurant to the front where after a few hours at the pool we would enjoy the chefs tapas with a cold rose watching the world go by. The location is 2 minutes from the Balcón and all beaches but the street is quiet so perfect location. We had a car and the hotel told us to park at parking Carabeo which was full when we arrived. We were very fortunate to get street parking which in high season is nearly impossible a stroke of luck for us. Nerja itself we fell in love with so many fabulous restaurants and shops just a great vibe. We want to thank the staff at Hotel Carabeo all of whom were so friendly and helpful and made our stay so enjoyable. We are looking forward to returning!

Had a wonderful stay at Carabeo. All the staff are amazing from the reception, cleaners, chefs, waiters, waitresses etc. they are all so very friendly an helpful and made us feel very special. Great customer service. We arrived to a hotel with no electricity an a hotel in darkness on the power outage day in Spain . As the hotel is closed on Mondays . Luca was on reception and in charge. We had already had quite stressful day but he was amazing . He was so friendly an helpful and made sure we had everything we needed including a welcome drink to ease the stress. Big thanks to Luca. We also had a very friendly an couldn't do enough for us lady on reception for rest of week but sorry didn’t get her name but all the reception staff were great. We stayed in Calahonda suite which was beautiful. Four poster bed with living room & terrace overlooking pool & sea. Was heavenly and so relaxing. The food for dinner service is exceptional in such lovely surroundings & ambience. The staff serving were again so friendly an helpful despite being busy every evening. Big thanks to all the team for making it a perfect stay.Highly recommend xx

We stayed during Holy Week recently at Hotel Carabeo in the penthouse suite (Myself, husband, and teenage daughter). From start to finish the experience was amazing!! This was my second time staying at the hotel and exceeded my expectations once again. The staff are so friendly and make you feel so special. The penthouse was huge, beautiful furniture, and fantastic views out to the sea. The food in the restaurant is superb as well as the musicians who played the two nights we dined. Altogether a fantastic holiday. I'm returning in June with my friend and can't wait. Thank you to all the amazing staff at Hotel Carabeo.

We went for dinner here and the food, service and atmosphere was amazing. Started off with cocktails in the bar which were great. Everyone really enjoyed their food (all had different main courses) and the wine was good. Overall really good value and a great evening out. Special mention to Maria who was lovely.

Beautifully hotel in a stunning location Our 4th time here - rooms with a balcony overlooking the sea are a must! - therapeutic experience ! From breakfast with every possible combination to lunch on the beach bar it’s absolutely amazing!!

We have just had the most magnificent break here at hotel Carabeo. The hotel is beautiful & kept spotlessly clean. Our apartment room had a really comfortable four poster bed, the mattress was memory foam and we slept so well, we had everything we could ever need, including towering robes & slippers. The view from our balcony was outstanding the mountains to one side & the sea & Balcon de Europa to the other. Every member of staff was warm & friendly, this place has a lovely family feel to it. Last but not least the food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Breakfast was delicious & what a choice and dinner at restaurant 34 out of this world 👌🏻 We will DEFINITELY return again. Thank you each & every one of you for our incredible stay.
