The distance from Tossa is a bit of a problem. It is true that you can walk the 2 km, and there is even a tourist trail, but not with small children and luggage. The bus itself runs a bit too infrequently, and it only takes 8 people at a time, so you often have to wait for 2 or 3 trips.
We had a very unpleasant experience because a local taxi company made us late for the bus to Barcelona and we had to take a taxi to the airport, which cost 200 euros. Our bus was at 6:30 a.m., but despite repeated assurances from both the hotel and the taxi company, no one answered the phone early in the morning, and it was not possible to book transportation in advance. It is possible that we were unlucky because there was a power outage in Tossa that day, but we were left with a bad taste, and the hotel staff was unable to help us.
Fantastic bedrooms, recently refurbished, cleaned daily.
If I had to pick a negative, then the restaurant could have been bigger & perhaps some cuisine theme nights would have been nice (they did have the pizza restaurant open on Friday & Saturday night).
Pizza restaurant really nice.
Only slight gripe is I wish it was closer to the beach but I guess they can't do anything about that haha.
An extra shuttle bus in the middle of the day would be good.
