Hotel Marina Playa De Palma in L'Arenal

Our visit to Palma was fantastic! We had an action-packed week, which included hiring a Vespa, a car, and taking a sunset yacht trip. It was truly memorable. The accommodation was good overall. The reception team was excellent—welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. We enjoyed beautiful views from the pool terrace, and the room was spotlessly clean every day, with housekeeping doing an outstanding job. The waterfall shower in our room was fantastic, and on our final day, we were able to store our bags at reception and continue enjoying the pool until it was time to leave for our late flight. The highlight of our stay was definitely the reception bar team, Domenico and Elizabeth. Their attentive service and warmth made the atmosphere so enjoyable. Domenico’s cocktail skills were particularly impressive, and the cocktails were among the best we've ever had. However, there were a few areas that could be improved. The service at the pool bar was quite slow, possibly due to understaffing, and the staff didn’t seem particularly eager to serve us drinks, which was a bit disappointing. The service at the poolside restaurant was also slow. We had to wait a long time to receive menus, place our orders, and even ask for the bill multiple times. It wasn’t a busy time, so this was a bit frustrating. Additionally, for the price of the accommodation, we were surprised that access to the spa and gym wasn’t included for hotel residents. In every other hotel we’ve stayed at, these amenities were part of the package, so it was an unexpected disappointment to find there was an additional fee for them. Despite the positives, the areas in need of improvement affected our experience enough that we would rate this stay 3 stars. We would consider returning, but with more careful expectations regarding the service.

The hotel itself is dated but cleaned daily. We got lucky with room 212 which was a corner room with a large terrace with incredible views. Unfortunately, we had very inconsiderate neighbours both aside and above for our entire 4 night stay. The breakfasts and dinners we had at the hotel were very good. There is a rooftop pool with around 6 loungers available. The hotel is situated on a very busy corner with a 24hr Grill house next door so be prepared, if like me, a light sleeper to be awake until the sun comes up. Erenal itself is very Dutch/German orientated and they like to drink! My advice would be to take some earplugs. Overall we had a pleasant stay despite the lack of sleep
