Hotel Alone in Cala de Finestrat

What a lovely hotel. All the staff I encountered were amazing, so friendly. A lovely bar which looks out on the pool. The food which is geared to Spaniards and is fine for me, I am in Spain, I want to eat Spanish food, is delicious and plentiful. The hotel is about an 8 mins walk to the beach. There is entertainment in the hotel, geared towards the Spanish, but, that’s fine as some of it is visual entertainment. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to return next year.

We visited the hotel as a family of 4, with our young children aged 3 and 6. We met up with wider family at the hotel. We had a great stay. This hotel was good for us. Most of the staff do have good English but also helped us when we used our very little Spanish. A lot of the holiday makers were Spanish and more mature. The hotel was quiet which worked well for our boys. There were activities in the morning and the lady who ran them was brilliant. She spoke English and Spanish and used both languages for the children which helped us all learn more. We enjoyed the food. There was regularly plain pasta and chips which the boys enjoyed and we enjoyed the variety of meat and seafood. We were full board but the drinks in the restaurant and bar were very reasonably priced. The pool was cool but that didn’t matter to the children. They enjoyed the water slide and the smaller kids pool. My only reservation is that the pool was open to the road so there wasn’t anything to stop people from wandering in or the children from wandering out. This is why I have given it 4 stars. It actually felt fine when we were there because it was so quiet but I wasn’t 100% comfortable with that. We could walk 10min to cala finestrat beach which, again was lovely and quiet. There was a bus into Benidorm. You can pay €2 for a card and top it up with €10 then use it for each journey which is only about 80c per journey. Another reason for only 4 stars was that the evening meal wasn’t until 7.30pm which was very late for our children. We managed to make it work but it wasn’t ideal. The evening entertainment was mainly Spanish but we didn’t attend that, but good to know if that’s what you want to join in with. All in all we had a great time and would recommend the hotel. Well what an amazing hotel.rooms are spacious with two double beds. Bedding and towels changed everyday.The bathrooms have been refurbished great walk in shower and water pressure is fabulous. Outside there is a pool,with a slide, baby splash pool and two bubble tubs to relax in. Plenty of sunbeds and chairs. Excellent bar service to your tables. Would definitely recommend. 5 minute walk to shops bars and the beach. Bus stops directly outside , which is a bonus.

Very clean hotel, close to Benidorm, Spanish food but very tasty, quiet pool, entertainment mainly in Spanish except for one of the entertainers, Alice, the only one who spoke English. She's charming and very funny. We had a fantastic time with her, joining in the musical quiz. The shows were great, the staff was really nice even though they don't speak much English, we felt at home. We'll come back someday.

Amazing stay! Clean room, good food and fantastic atmosphere! Pool was always clean and safe for children, staff are friendly. Highly recommended especially for families (lot of older guests) safe location! 100% yes!!! Also breakfast and dinner always fresh and tasty!

Still a greater place to come and chill out seen it this week busy which is great families alongside the vast amount of Spanish elderly groups who dance the night away ,food standard a bit poor at start of week not up to their normal high quality but the end of week back to normal ,it was not recooked or poor but just no variation in the choice ,could of been a shortage somewhere along the supply line …staff as ever superb

We spent a fabulous week at the Alone in October 2024, and I agree with previous comments that English is not the first language of the staff, and the signage is primarily in Spanish. I did not see any signs in English. Our 6th-floor room was bathed in sunlight from mid-afternoon until evening. The towels were replaced daily, and the room was kept clean. Upon requesting a kettle, it was provided immediately without any extra charge, and we were even offered tea and coffee from the bar. The rooms, however, lack a power outlet near the bed and could benefit from the addition of USB ports. They were spacious with very comfortable beds, and the sheets were changed during our stay. The pool area is well-maintained, though the sun loungers are somewhat outdated. We opted to use the pool at the Tropic next door. Regarding the food, there was no room for complaint. The variety was plentiful every day, with a consistent salad bar and a great selection of beef, fish, and chicken. However, the tea and coffee machines in the morning were frustratingly slow. It's a 10-minute walk to the beachfront, and local buses stop right outside the hotel. Service number 2 takes you to the Old Town and runs every 20 minutes until 10:30 pm. We will definitely retur
