We stayed in one of four detached rooms situated around a pool. They are brand new and the floors and walls are polished concrete. Lovely planting around the pool. The hotel is really conveniently located for the Lion rock which is a short walk away and close to lots of good restaurants. It is also very peaceful as it is up a side street off of the main road. The staff are so helpful and friendly. They arranged laundry for us and when our taxi, which we had booked through our next hotel, didn't arrive they quickly organised another for us. We would highly recommend staying here if you are going to Sigiriya.

Great hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff couldn’t have been nicer. The pool was clean and very refreshing after a muggy day in the jungle. Breakfast was delicious especially cardamom pancakes.

This place is perfect to stay in when visiting the area. Pool is lovely, the rooms are luxurious, the staff are su friendly and helpful and the breakfast sets you up for the day. Nakala was beyond any expectations in helping us. Thank you so much.

Excellent small hotel really close to the entrance to Lion Rock, maybe 10 minutes walk to the road entrance for the Rock. Nice spacious rooms with air conditioning with comfortable beds and a decent bathroom Breakfast is excellent and is freshly made when you want it. Nice pool to cool off in. The guys who work here are lovely - very friendly and super helpful with advice. They organised an excellent safari for us to Kaudula NP and also a car to Kandy. Well worth staying here.

What fantastic 4 nights i had at Il Frangipane. The place is beautiful, relaxing (lovely swimming pool) and so intiamte (limited amount of rooms) - making it a place you will not want to leave. Warm thanks to the staff, so dedicated to making your stay the best possible. And last, the location, is fantastic : allows you to reach Sigiria rock, Dambulla and Anuradhapura easily!

Beautiful boutique hotel set away from the busy road. Very peaceful and tranquil, the team that work there are very welcoming, super friendly and happy to help organise day trips etc. The room was perfect for out family of 4. 2 large double beds and a large bathroom - AC was super cold. The gardens and pool area are secluded and tranquil. Sad to be leaving

We had a great stay here. The service was great and our room was really spacious, clean and just lovely overall. Breakfast was yummy and generous. The hotel is located near some really good restaurants and it's a short walk (16 minutes) or a shorter tuk tuk ride from sigiriya rock. The pool was terrific. Highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights in a triple room. This place is so relaxing with all the plants. The staff here are so friendly and happy to help you make plans, arrange drivers and chat. Breakfast is incredible and varies daily. Rooms are spacious and have everything we need including a fridge. The gardens make this place so special and we enjoyed watching the little squirrels and occasional monkey playing in the trees and all the birds. Great place to stay that has a personality. Loved it.

Il Frangipane is the perfect place to stay in Sigiriya! The rooms are spacious, super comfortable with a fantastic shower/bathroom. Location wise it is perfect. An easy stroll to Lion Rock and literally a couple mins in tuktuk should you not want to walk. Also A couple mins stroll to amazing restaurants and bars (make sure to eat at Kenoli!)… the breakfast at il Frangipane is generous and delicious. The staff are wonderful and helped us organise TukTuks whenever we needed it. Also a huge thank you to Raveen for the fantastic communication and for organising us such professional, safe and excellently priced drivers (for our treks between cities). The pool at the hotel is amazing and so beautiful after a days hiking. (One note tho, the pool is amazing however there are some chipped tiles so be careful as I cut my leg, not a major issue but something to be aware of). I would 100% recommend Raveen and Il Frangipane to anyone staying in Sigiriya. A beautiful little oasis to call home for a few days!! 10/10

AMAZING PLACE! Rooms are spacious and clean. Very very helpful staff and breakfast superb and plentiful. Fresh fruit- pancakes- eggs-- toast- coffee and juices. We cannot recommend this place enough-----10 stars!!! Pool was very welcoming after busy day and this is a little bit of paradise--- So so brilliant---- would highly recommend!!
