Mbweni, Chumbe Island 🧭 Map
Our trip was a fantastic journey into wilderness and pure nature. We had spend a wonderful week with great outdoor activities and exploring the whole island. The staff was very welcoming and warmhearted
We enjoyed snorkeling, tidal walks, forest trails, crab walks and a lot more while learning more about ecological subjects. The cabins were very comfortable and the food was also absolutely delicous!
Tropical paradise with awesome snorkeling, monstrous crabs, and beautiful birds. A day trip is possible, but definitely stay overnight, if only for the Coconut Crab walking tour
Chombe is a little bit of heaven! I don't know where to begin in my praise for the charming staff, delicious food, interesting activities (Thankyou so much J2) and idyllic setting. A really magical experience.
From what I understand, that’s not supported by current scientific evidence — African baobab trees can live for thousands of years, but reliably dated individuals are generally around 2,000–2,500 years old, not tens of thousands
It’s possible this was due to language challenges, not intent, but it might be worth the team reviewing their species names and facts so future guests get the best information

And above all, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful - particularly manager Issa. He personally went above and beyond helping me with a special matter. Can't say enough good things
Overall a great experience with good management and staff
This is probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in! It's beautifully situated INSIDE the ruins. The rooms are lovely and spacious - immaculately clean
Everything was clean and the grounds were nicely maintained. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times and the food was good but the portions were huge. The management and staff were very nice and kind
The beach was awesome with great sunsets. Had a two twin bed room that was converted to a queen by combining the beds. Room was clean enough but the tiles were an off brown that made them look not so clean
The staff is very helpful, but like most islands things just tend to be slower. The food service takes a while but I appreciated it as it seemed everything was cooked when ordered

Morogoro, Off the Old Dar es Salaam Road 🧭 Map
I went to arc hotel and I must say, they serve the best pizza I’ve ever tasted!😍😍
From the moment I walked in, the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home
The rooms are abit outdated especially the bathrooms. The food is very nice. Service is not that great... Location is very good. It's very close to the main road.
a good place to stay on the way between Ruaha NP and Nyerere NP. Bit outside the city of Morogoro, on the way to Kisaki (north entrance of Nyerere NP) A long, long waiting time for diner, 1,5 hour
Good enough for a business stay. Wifi was almost non-existent despite advertising high-speed wifi. ( which was my reason for choosing this hotel) Staff were friendly
I am told the pizza is good but the prices were ridiculous. I think I will look around Morogoro a bit more next time before deciding where to stay
The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations from their menu. I also appreciated the cozy ambiance, making it a perfect spot for a casual dinner or a special occasion

Zanzibar City, Baghani Street 🧭 Map
Good location (closer to the center), very safe at night. Friendly and very helpful staffs. There were always check that we did not need anything. It was very nice of them and it made me feel more comfortable
The restaurant up top offered great food with good service and the accompanying view was breathtaking! Also let us keep our luggage there while after we checked out and were busy during the day doing activities
Food was very good, we spent a lot of time on the rooftop (breakfast, having snacks and drinks late afternoon) and we were never disappointed. I will recommend this place for sure
Beautiful hotel in the middle of Stone Town! Very good location. Rooms were kept clean and comfortable, beds came with mosquito netting
A nice place in the heart of Stone town. Very lovely view from the rooftop restaurant and the food is delightful. Not the best bathroom but you have electricity and hot water all day
We did not stay at this hotel but 5 stars go entirely to the male staff member standing at the entrance to the hotel today !
We got a little lost during our Stone Town exploration and required some redirection and this staff member took time out of his day to provide us with directions and also reorientate our maps

Everything was 5 star. Friendly staff, food was amazing, rooms were clean, hot shower, breakfast was nice and free WiFi.
I will definitely return and recommend to my friends and family.
The best hotel in Mbeya! Everything is great, food, people, rooms etc. My family and I always stay there when in the Mbeya region. Mr Limo is always accommodating.

Moshi, Plot 178A, Machame District 🧭 Map
It is great in the mornings to relax or get some work done with good Wi-Fi and plenty of outlets. In the evenings it’s cozy and perfect for hanging out with friends
Ever seen monkeys grab avocados straight from a tree and just chill above you eating them? yeah… we have 😄 big thanks to Aishi Machame for that! honestly the main thing about this place is the location — wildlife (monkeys, birds, we even saw a hornbill) just lives here like it’s their home, so you get this super calm, peaceful vibe
Breakfast was an excellent buffet and the other vegetarian food I ate was also good. The eating/bar area looked over gardens with more seating outside. There were loungers by the swimming pool
everything else is solid too — rooms, staff, food, all good. at first we thought it’d be just a quick “sleep-breakfast-leave” kinda stay, but hohestly it turned into a whole little adventure 😄
My room was spacious and comfortable with a good shower and toiletries, drinking water, tea and coffee, mosquito net and fan. There was also a good laundry service
I had a really good rest here after Kilimanjaro and before long flight. food was tasty (and coffee was actually pretty good), and the grounds are well maintained and green. rooms are spacious and with the clean bathrooms

Pongwe, Pongwe Beach 🧭 Map
A peaceful, friendly place to stay for total relaxation. Beautiful beach, lovely staff, good food, and fab infinity pool. Rooms spacious and comfortable. I had a lovely massage in the "spa"- actually a little hut
We truly had an unforgettable time and enjoyed every moment of our stay. Thank you to the whole team at Pongwe Beach Hotel for making our trip so memorable. It’s good value and we would absolutely love to come back!
But the best thing was the staff, they was all amazing and helpful. They were always happy and spoke great english. Especially the waitress called Jasmine was amazing. Would recommend everyone to visit
The beach is by far the best in the Pongwe area — crystal-clear water, wide sandy shores, quiet and private, plenty of space to relax and enjoy the beauty of the ocean
Their singing and dancing were amazing — you can really feel how joyful and genuine everyone is. The team there is warm, friendly, and full of positive energy. The food was consistently delicious throughout our stay
One of the most unique experiences was seeing the wildlife around the hotel. Every evening around 7pm the bush babies come out for bananas, which was such a fun moment to watch

Nungwi, Nungwi Beach 🧭 Map
Starting from Reception and personally Sarah, who was super welcome and always helpful! Continue with our room ( we booked sea view, villa 3) and housekeeping daily perfect job! Amazing breakfast ( thank you chef for the best owlet ever and all guys for your caring and smiling faces)
We stayed here for 5 nights and it was the best place to stay! Our room was nice, a bit out dated but it had everything we needed and it was clean
We walked the entire beach of Nungwi, and our hotel was definitely the best
The sun beds on the beach (most of the hotels don’t have such luxury), security (not that it’s dangerous there, but the guys selling excursions and souvenirs are just too many and it becomes annoying; - security of our hotel kept everyone away from the hotel guests), the beach is super clean (and so are the rooms, restaurant and all the facilities)
The beach was never affected with the tide whereas other hotels nearby, their beach disappeared with the tide and not many other places had beach lounge chairs to use
Location is amazing, room super clean and cosy, staff very friendly, all what you need ( restaurants, bars, markets, money exchange is 1-2 min a way)

After you check in make sure u check the shower. The breakfast is not so good, a few minutes walk you can find stone town cafe/puzzle cafe. Thanks to mazsons team for a comfortable stay
At Masons Hotel, the stay was excellent. However, I was charged two nights instead of one night: Checked in on !st August (paid 100$ cash plus 178
The good: The room (king size bed) I was in was spacious and comfortable and had all the services (refrigerator, toilet, wardrobes
It is really having a peaceful, quiet atmosphere, truely home away from home. Their services are great and the staffs are really calm and you can sense that they are experienced and respectful
I loved my stay over this Hotel
Etc) were provided and operational
The bad: the internet connection is free BUT the system for connecting is annoying (you have a single use user and pass and you have to try every combination until you reach one that connects you)

The hotel rooms while they are basic had great AC, excellent showers and good wifi. The Team running Shangani are excellent very accommodating always willing to help when needed
The Shangani was a great base for me twice while visiting Zanzibar. The location is amazing with excellent access to local shopping and dining experiences
Thank you all best and expect to meet a lot of my friends who ever I met I will send them to you
Breakfast on the rooftop is a great experience with the chefs making fresh breakfasts every morning
I don't know if it's good for the price because it was booked by our safari group, but it has all that you need. The AC is excellent, there's American movie channels. The wifi was slow at times but overall fine
Awesome and good Room ..

It was very fun and amazing , and enjoyed a lot from the view culture and all thing from that place but the best part was the bombom part on a yacht I never experienced that thing and made me proud a lot and also plan for the next trip on kendwa beach
Good beach there service and also Its very test of drinks and food so its verry good hotel😘😘😘
We have been resting for 10 days already, the hotel staff is super, always clean, they clean every day, sunbeds for the hotel are free and guarded on the beach, everything is very cool
in connection with the situation in Ukraine, the guys are understanding, very cool
- noise from street air conditioners is heard at night, you can’t sleep with the window open;
- very slippery tiles in the toilet and shower, be careful;
- poor ventilation in the rooms, a musty smell quickly appears in the room, you need to air it often, risking letting in mosquitoes
+ low cost of accommodation, which includes breakfast;
+ wide and clean beaches for active recreation are very close;
+ there is free Wi-Fi;
+ there is air conditioning in the room;
+ parking spaces can be found near the hotel

Nungwi, Nungwi-North coast. Zanzibar TZ 🧭 Map
The hotel's restaurant and public deck chairs are really great. The sea is right outside the door. The location is very good! Lying on a recliner all day
I stayed at this hotel for one day, but that was enough to evaluate the service. My impressions were good, but there were some niggles. The hotel is available via WhatsApp, which is good
Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, and shops are all within walking distance. It's a very lively area, fun and vibrant! The hotel staff are super friendly, and I really enjoyed the dinners
There was some water missing in the room, but it was quickly resolved. Toilet paper and other amenities were missing, but we were told about it. People aren't particularly enthusiastic, but everyone is friendly and calm
The document said $8, but it looks like it was for two people. Since I moved to Stone Town later, the documents said $4, but I only paid $2 because I was alone. I didn't know and didn't ask about this at reception
You can't lie down quietly, sunbathe on the sand, or swim (get away from the pushy people and salespeople). There are sun loungers on the hotel grounds, but they are usually booked for the entire day

Kiwengwa, Gullioni Village 🧭 Map
Minor irritations like flies after my food and a bit grumpy male manager and no air conditioning. But the female boss is fantastic and the service attentive. Excellent quality overall for the money
I recommend Simba's restaurant as well. We tasted many of their dishes and all was good. Breakfast is ok with a good selection of homemade cakes and cookies. Fresh fruit, omelettes and so on
Kachumbari was very good! Staff are friendly and kindness
One of the few places with rooms directly on one of the best beaches in Zanzibar. Italians and families especially will love it but great for all
Nice place to stay due to possibility to walk around the beach and enjoy beautiful sunshines. Within few minutes walking on the beach Kiwengwa is plenty of restaurants, bars, kitesurfing spots and schools
It is right by the beach so it was great to walk out from the room directly to the sea. The place is clean and the breakfast was nice. Very serene place - highly recommend it to anyone going to zanzibar

We only went to eat in the restaurant and it was fantastic! In addition to the very nice place, we ate very well! 2 giant lobsters with chips and vegetables at a more than fair price! Furthermore, the staff was very kind and welcomed us, making us feel at home surrounded by friends!
This place is amazing and so relaxing. Staff are very friendly, helpful and kind (especially Veronica and iddie) they made me feel at home. The overall vibe and ambiance was incredible
Very tasty cuisine, tastier than here in Zanzibar, I have not tried anything) and the prices are affordable, polite staff, I highly recommend !!! We tried all the menus in a week)))
I won't tell you about the numbers. But the cuisine is very tasty with very low prices. We, as regular customers, even got a discount a couple of times.
Great value for money! The rooms are comfortable and the place is nice. Only downside is the beach (not so nice) and not right next to the hotel as it might look like in pictures ( 5 minutes walk)
Be prepared to listen to some reggae. The food is awesome!

Dar es Salaam, 1216 Maryknoll Lane Masaki PO Box 110331 🧭 Map
Though you might never want to leave the grounds: the rooftop restaurant at Alexander's is one of the best restaurants in Dar, a beautifully designed space and features a world-class wine selection from the owner's excellent cellar
The service is excellent on all levels. Even if you don’t stay at the hotel, the restaurant on the rooftop terrace is worth a visit. The food is amazing - by far the best seafood platter in Dar es Salaam!
The rooms were huge, clean and had good a/c. The food was delicious, especially the dinners and we ate in both nights
The roof top dining room and bar is extremely comfortable with several locals eating, so you know it is good
A privately run hotel , probably falls in the boutique category. Nice private and despite construction quiet hotel with a lovely courtyard and pool. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed, but don’t expect shiny rooms
Tucked away on a side street in Masaki, it offers an oasis of tranquility with rooms surrounding a gorgeous garden and tiled pool. Each room is individually curated with local art and toiletries from Zanzibar

Bwejuu, Bwejuu Beach 🧭 Map
The food was overall good - we did bed & breakfast but, in the future, would not do breakfast as there are many places to explore in Paje, nearby, and the options were the same every day - fruit, bread of your choice (toast, crepe like pancakes, or banana bread or muffin), eggs of your choice, bacon (more like Canadian bacon), sausage, or an English breakfast
The lunch menu had quite a bit of options - we had grilled fish, grilled octopus, and fish nuggets, which were all good. The dinner menu was smaller options, so we generally preferred to go explore other restaurants
The cocktails were very good and reasonably priced! The pool was clean; our daughter had a blast swimming. They also had sand toys for kids. There were plenty of lounge chairs to relax with an ocean view, too
Wonderful weeklong stay at Indigo Beach! The staff were absolutely fantastic, from how friendly they were to our toddler, to helping organize tours and a massage, to helping us figure out a doctor to take our daughter to when she got sick on our last day
I would also note that the pillows smelled, like they had been in storage for a while and not washed, but we were able to find throw pillows that were ok (we did not mention to the staff, as we forgot whenever we left the room)
I saw they had bikes for rent, but we did not do that. As for the room itself, we appreciated the unique style of it - it isn't one of those cookie cutter hotel rooms that could be anywhere in the world

The food is good--very nice breakfast with the room, good fish, nice pastas, and excellent pizza made in their own clay pizza over
Our room was up-to-date, had everything we needed, the beds had mosquito nets, and the bathroom was good. The nearby small pool, was a very nice place to hang out. Its the beach here that is really the winner
This is a very nice restaurant (do know that if you feel like a change--there are other restaurants nearby, including very inexpensive local fish places where the seafood comes direct from the ocean)
The resort is right on the beach, and the restaurant sits next to the beach and while covered, is open sided, and you often have a lovely breeze blowing through
The beach, which is BEAUTIFUL, stretches for long distances in both directions (we took two hour walks during sunrise and never reached the end of the beach)
Nice beach, perfect location, excellent staff and they have weekend vibe.

Staff was friendly; gave great guest service. Overall stay was exceptional. Variety of breakfast options was very good. I would definitely recommend to others. Hotel is very clean and well managed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The location is good, very close to the sea, and next to the castle (one of the castles) of Stone Town. The front desk is nice, the room is big and clean, with hot water
Great location and overall nice hotel for Zanzibar. Very close to tourist attractions, everything on walking distance. Clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast was limited but with amazing fruit selection
After climbing Kilimanjaro and safari in the Serengeti, it felt like a break for the first time
The hotel is also centrally located and within walking distance of restaurants and Fordhani park, which is very convenient. Booking directly with the property or walking in can get you a cheaper rate
Abdulhamid was especially helpful — he went out of his way to assist with organizing tours, and he provided useful tips and clear directions throughout our stay
