Initially we had some issues with our villa and with the condition of its balcony, which was due for refurbishment as the neighbouring villa was being worked on - so it wasn’t a great start, however the staff were attentive and sorted us out by relocating us a brand new private villa which in one word was WOW! My Blu Hotel Zanzibar exceeded all expectations! Excellent location on Kendwa Beach, clean and modern rooms, friendly staff. Breakfasts were delicious and varied, and dinner with a sea view was simply magical

A good hotel, located in a bay, you can only walk along the beach at low tide during the day. In general, the low tides are not strong

There are local vendors on the beach who can be a bit annoying, as well as Maasai people, but they are not pushy at all. You can have interesting conversations with them and learn a lot. Overall, it was a great vacation
