Longtail Beach Resort in Baan Tai

My wife and I stayed at Longtail January 2026 for 6 nights . We had a great time and loved the beach and the emerald green sea . We often walked the full length of the beach barefooted in the very soft sand. The restaurant offered great food from the menu and the quality of the food was amazing. There is a nice beach bar called Siam a little further down the beach which we also enjoyed . Our hut was nice and only approximately 50 metres from the white beach . The highlight of our stay was our resident Tockay Gecko who loved making his loud noise during the night to wake us up . We are convinced he was in our hut , or we was in his hut which ever way you look at it. Great stay and we will be back .

Ive been to longtail many times now. And have also stayed many other places in Thailand. Longtail is by far the Best place. Amazing beach. Best staff. Amazing fresh food. Clean rooms. Beautiful place. I can not reccomend this place enough!! The other years we have gone as a couple, but this year we went with our small child. No better place to have vacation with your child. A safe beach and child friendly atmosfaere. We are definetly coming back. Again!!!

This place is awesome, we just got back from staying here with our two kids. The accommodation is a hut which is clean and tidy and we had two beds and a smaller side room for our son. The cleaning staff are great and came in daily, the bathroom has a decent shower and the beds are comfortable with mosquito nets and good air conditioning. The pool is really nice and never struggled to get beds around it, it’s great for families but don’t be put off if you don’t have kids. The beach is amazing and very safe, the water is shallow and bath warm. We did a boat trip off the beach and went along the coast snorkelling and stopping at different beaches which was great and didn’t cost a lot. There’s loads of bars and restaurants along the front and a small town with shops / bars etc and a little high street. There’s a bar up on the hill you can see which is a bit of a steep hike but the views are unreal and a really cool vibe once you get there. The restaurant at long tail has everything you need and the food is unreal, we didn’t have a bad meal anywhere in the whole town it was all good! Really couldn’t recommend this place enough we would go back in a heartbeat

Best food and best value on Thong Pan Nai beach. Friendly and attentive staff. Dishes we tried green chicken curry, Tom Yum Goong Chicken rice soup and many more. All dishes were tasty and of a generous size. Most meals for 2 with drink we paid no more than 500baht. .

Just spent a few days at Longtail Beach Resort. What a wonderful place! You couldn't ask for a better location-right on an utter paradise of a beach and the service (especially the lovely Ona) was fantastic. The beach has no shortage of places to eat and drink but we had some of the nicest food of our trip to the island at the resort itself. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here. We will be back. We booked the basic accommodation, which was small but absolutely fine for us. Next time we will be booking a deluxe. Thank you!!

We stayed here for 9 days and couldn’t be happier. We’ve been in Thailand for 6 weeks and this is the best place we stayed at. The Thai style bungalows are very cozy and clean. The beach is beautiful offering stunning views of Thong Nai Pan bay. The spa is great as well. We had several massages, face and body treatments which were all great. The restaurant has very good quality Thai and western food. Everything is freshly prepared and tasty.
Our five year old daughter loved the place as well. Especially the pool and nature playground with swings hanging from trees. The staff are all wonderful and so so friendly and loving, especially to children. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We are sad to leave and hope to come back some day!
One suggestion/request: please do not use so many plastic straws. Most (if not all) drinks can be served perfectly without 🙏🏽

An absolute gem of a place. Clean rooms, air conditioned, great food (Thai & Western), pool, walking distance to village, brilliant massages and the team that work here are so lovely and accommodating. Great for families!
