We stayed at Colourful Hut on Koh Phangan, and from the moment we entered the place we could feel the special energy. It’s not a huge resort i think 15 huts but that makes it even more charming. The huts are located right on the beach, and the whole atmosphere instantly radiates relaxation.

The huts themselves are decorated with so much love and detail. Its more on the rustic side especially the bathroom – something you should be aware of, but for us it was absolutely fine. In fact, we felt comfortable and happy throughout our entire stay. We hardly had any uninvited “guests” in the room, even though our door had a small gap at the bottom.

The hole staff were simply wonderful, especially with the children. Mi-Mi, Ni-Ni, Emdy and Tin-Tin (sorry i don’t remember the right writing of the names) made us feel truly at home as if we were visiting family rather than staying at a resort. Ni-Ni even came in on her day off just to say goodbye to the kids, and my son even said that he misses Emdy ♥️. Moments like these made our stay so special.

The food is completely vegan. Every single dish we had was delicious even as non vegans, we enjoyed it very much, and so did the children. It was also nice to know that the kids were eating something healthy every morning.

Every morning is a free yoga class, which I joined several times and absolutely loved. Highly recommended!

The beach is clean and well kept it gets cleaned every morning and the view of the sea, the atmosphere, the surroundings… simply beautiful.

We can warmly and wholeheartedly recommend staying here. Looking back, I wish we had stayed longer than six days. We traveled as two families, and with our children it was just perfect. This is a wonderful place to come with kids as well.

Just concluding our stay - will return if we come back to Koh Phagan! Always clean, food was excellent, location was superb - close enough to the main areas while still enough away to be quiet and relaxing. Beds were firm, AC worked great. Staff were friendly and accommodating :) You cannot beat the view and access to the beach. The two yoga classes I took with Karine were very lovely and gentle (somatic breathing woven in). Thank you!

This place was what me and my husband needs after 4 weeks of travelling. Its a peaceful oasis on the island with beautiful nature an incredible beach, cozy rooms and the most wonderful staff. They greet you with such warmth and make you feel so welcome. The food they serve is incredible and vegan friendly. They have free yoga every morning and one of the mornings when it rained they arranged a taxi to take us to another I door location free of charge and it was the best yoga I've done in years. The owner is so lovely and caring. I'm so happy we booked there just wish I stayed longer.

Great place! We were so grateful to finally be in a place that cares for the environment. In our 7 weeks in Thailand, this is the only hotel that offered recycling, composting and even refillable bottles. They should be an example for all the other resorts. And also, after I forgot my Ipad at the resort, the staff went above and beyond to send it back to me. Great service and great people!

magnificent place also voted for the future: green, no-plastics, social, vegan etc etc ... All very welcoming, especially the really nice, kind and helpful Manager! it is made up of a series of Bungalows and small houses up to a common bar/restaurant/relax area and the sea. The bungalows are very nice and well-kept with parquet and spacious and modern bathrooms. The houses (we used 1 of these) have a slightly less beautiful bathroom with a non-separate shower (unlike the bungalows). Each bungalow has its own hammock. All very clean and well cared for. There is a kitchen available for guests with a refrigerator. The vegan restaurant is open from 11.30 in the morning until 19.00. It can be reached on foot from the town center in about 10 minutes (15' from the port). However, the road is quite busy in the last stretch.

The first accommodation I felt like home. The volunteers are very nice and helpful. Great vegan breakfast. Our bungalow was inside not perfekt, but outside perfect for the kids. You can open the door and let the kids play with tons of toys or pillows in a beautiful garden and you can enjoy the view out of the hammock. Traveller's who like the hostel-life will love this place.

It was quiet and relaxing. The views were picturesque and the atmosphere was amazing. We stayed away from the big parties that are commonplace on the island, and instead, we opted to have quiet drinks by the sea. These quiet nights, coupled with early morning swimming in the sea made this one of the best memories of travelling I have so far.
