The check-in with the lei and bell-ringing ceremony was a nice touch. The room and pool were clean. The hotel is also super convenient, just a two-minute walk to a small plaza. Very comfortable for families with kids.

The cleanliness of the rooms could be improved, and the hotel's facilities for children need an upgrade. The pool only has one inflatable slide, and there was a lot of sand on the bottom, which chafed both my husband's and my feet. The villas are more suited for couples; the courtyards have a very exotic feel, but there aren't many activities. This hotel needs to do more to cater to families with children.

I booked a pool suite and really liked the room, especially the bedding. There was an extra mattress pad on top of the main mattress, making it incredibly comfortable to sleep on. The decor and color scheme of the entire room were also beautiful, leading to a truly excellent night's sleep. The lit fire in the evening added a wonderful ambiance.
The only minor flaw was that I had previously corrected my gender in an email exchange, and they confirmed the correction. However, the welcome card at check-in still had the wrong gender. It felt like there was a lack of internal communication regarding details within the hotel.
Makao Beach 🏖️ is close to the airport, making it suitable for a resort stay, as I found the sea view to be quite average. Overall, it's still a good place to stay.

Cleanliness: Linens were spotless, and both daily cleaning and turn-down service were great.
Environment: The beach is just a 3-minute walk away. Turning left from the entrance, Turtle Village offers convenient dining and shopping options. Robinson Lifestyle mall is about a 30-minute drive.
Service: Extremely warm and accommodating, always ready to help, and very friendly to children. You can pre-order baby meals at the restaurant a day in advance, and both the car seat and driver for airport transfers were excellent.

Very quiet and relaxing, with coffee shops and convenience stores nearby, which is very convenient. You can also eat and drink at the hotel, and there are many activities, making it perfect for families with kids. The hotel has two areas, and the gym facilities are also well-equipped.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic for a family trip!
The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, and you can even cook in them. The swimming pool is also wonderfully warm and has separate shallow and deep areas, making it very baby-friendly!
The hotel's breakfast spread is quite generous. My only minor gripe is that a few of the staff members seemed a bit unfriendly. However, the in-room dining service offers good value for money; we ordered it once on a rainy day, and it was surprisingly good.
The Kids' Club activities are incredibly varied, and the staff there are exceptionally enthusiastic. Waking up in the morning and being able to bike around the hotel grounds is something I particularly loved!
The only, and I mean *only*, downside was the sheer number of mosquitoes; I got bitten all over the moment I walked in. Despite that, I still have to give it a 5-star rating! I'd definitely want to come back again.

Great! The service was excellent, and all the staff were so welcoming, always greeting you with a smile. The breakfast was pretty good too, a mix of Western and local dishes, quite different from the Thai food you find outside.

An excellent hotel! The ambiance, facilities, and dining are all top-notch. It's said to be the prototype for the White Lotus Resort, offering plenty of peace and privacy. My only minor gripe is that the dedicated attendant didn't do a great job with pre-communication, but that's a small flaw that doesn't detract from the overall experience. I'll definitely be back.

Location is perfect. Just around 15 mins ride. Can use Bolt or Grab to go everywhere.
There is a Turtle Village nearby, just cross the road. Have 7-11 convenient store, all kinds restaurant and have local massage shop where we tried a excellent Thai massage
