This hotel is located on Kamala Beach, which is relatively less crowded. We specifically chose it so we could spend a leisurely day lounging on the beach chairs. The overall service was pretty good too.

The facilities are really old. On my first day, I cut my hand on the table in the room. I booked a ground floor room for the pool, but the pool water was incredibly dirty with all sorts of floating debris. The restaurant basement was full of large cockroaches, it was terrifying! Plus, there was nothing complimentary in the room's mini-bar. I opened a small bottle of wine, took one sip, and they charged me over 400. On my last day, I even saw a cockroach on the bed when I was leaving – I almost lost my mind. This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The only good thing was the staff's attitude, otherwise, there's absolutely nothing positive to say. Oh, and there was constant renovation noise outside the room during the day. It was truly a terrible stay!!!

It was alright. This room type has two floors, with a double bed on the first floor and another double bed on the second floor.

Overall, the hotel isn't particularly good value for money. The swim-up room cost 7500 for two nights, and the room wasn't very big. As other reviews mentioned, the water cleanliness was just average. I would have given the service five stars, as everyone was very enthusiastic, but when I checked in, I told the front desk staff member that I was an IHG member, and she completely ignored me. It was very late, so I didn't press the issue. The next morning, a different young man at the front desk told me that members get discounts at two restaurants: the one by the beach and the breakfast spot. However, when I checked out, it was the same woman again, and she said the discount only applied to the breakfast restaurant, and she didn't confirm if she actually applied it. The massage was good though, the technique was skillful and refined. I guess it depends on who you get, but the environment was pretty good.

Booked a two-bedroom pool villa, but honestly, it wasn't really worth the price. The upstairs bedroom was just a very standard room. The breakfast at the Executive Lounge was beautifully presented and tasted good. There are evening performances by the beach. There's not much to do around the hotel, and no 7-Eleven, so we stayed within the hotel premises the entire time.

Best hotel in Phuket!
We had fantastic experience at Intercontinental Phuket. The location is great ,not to busy. My room was sparkling clean,bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious (special thanks to Khun Yodmai and team)
The concierge team (I don't remember his name) was very helpful and friendly. He helped us booked the local restaurant and booked Grab.
Checked in and Checked out was run smoothly and professionally by Khun Nira and front desk team.
Thank you for the staffs at Intercontinental Phuket. They are on top of everything. Truly 5 starts hotel experience.

Stayed in a Club room with sea view. Room well kept and very comfortable. The big problem is that in the club rooms there is a rumbling noise coming from the pool pumps, I was told. They changed my room after a sleepless 1st night and although you can still hear the noise in the new room, it was much better. The rest was excellent including restaurants and service. A special thank you to K Best at the club lounge and the lady doing great coffees, that did not get her name. Kevin from the club Lounge was also very nice and helpful. Hope they can solve the noise problem because it is a shame being such a wonderful resort.
