In terms of location, it’s not very central, but close enough to reach downtown in about 30 minutes or 15 mins of the clubbing zone (both by bike). Be aware that you need to book your car back to the airport in advance, it took me more than 30 minutes to arrange, but the woman at the help desk was very helpful in securing one. Thank you for that!
I also had to let reception know I wanted housekeeping every day otherwise I felt like they would not come on their own since nobody came to clean on the first day.
I do not recommend this place. This is an old hotel with problems. Bed sheets and towels gave stains, there is mold in the bathroom. It smells, and maybe if you are lucky you have a pet (a bug).
Avoid this place even if it is that cheap and you are planning to be in the city almost the entire trip. It is not worthy to be back after a long Bangkok day and stay in this hotel.
My room had a balcony area but the sliding door does not shut tight, so there were still insects and smells that could enter.
Provisions are very basic, but no hairdryer was available.
Overall cleanliness is acceptable - decent considering the age of the hotel, but towels had unremovable stains on them, which some may not like.

no restaurant in the hotel, but plenty of eating places just outside or within 2 mins walk
The location is reasonable, you could go by walk but i prefer grab a taxi.
There is a convinient store near by.
