RADATEEREE BOUTIQUE RESORT in Chiang Mai City

I've been using Ctrip for 12 years and rarely write reviews, but you absolutely *must* think twice before booking this hotel in Chiang Mai! First off, the location: it's not just remote, it's practically in a village. Second, the rooms: they're just average, nothing special, but no major flaws either. Third, and this is where the hotel feels like a scam: the building is right next to the road – and I mean *right next to it*. Passing cars will practically make it impossible for you to sleep. On top of that, the soundproofing between rooms is practically non-existent. It's like you're sharing a room with your neighbors. I initially booked for 4 nights, but couldn't sleep a wink that first night. I tried contacting the front desk, but no one was available. After talking to Ctrip, I managed to get a refund for the remaining nights (the hotel was unwilling to do so, though). I even ran into the owner's wife when checking out. If this hotel ever sees this review, I hope you experience a room like this yourself when you travel with your family next time. I didn't take any photos, but here's a video I took from my room.
