Loved it here overall, some slight issues with an annoying [perhaps resident] person who thinks we want to hear his 'personal' prayers at 5am [and beyond] but staff are very accommodating and understanding. The breakfast is standout, 10/10 a true standard bearer, even more amazing given the hotel size. Lovely view.
Restaurant available for late night eating and fab cocktails. Well run hotel with some eyecatching decor from the Plaza days. A shame Centara didn't take over the one in Sridonchai too!

The location is far from city, took around 25 mins from Nimman.
The room is big and authentic style. Better to renovate.

Hotel was located around 10 mins from city center by car. This was not bad. Although hotel was kept clean, pristine white in the outside, the rooms and elevators need a major upgrade.

This hotel is ok. The staff were very good. The breakfast was excellent, the chef greeted people very professionally and in a friendly manner. There’s nothing to do around the hotel. Though it’s a riverside hotel, there’s nothing there for riverside activities. Most of the food shops and massages were very simple. The hotels toilet and bathtub need to be replaced with modern ones.

The hotel is a bit old. I was given a river view room, but the river was a little murky. There's a 7-Eleven and a fried chicken place downstairs. It's a tiny bit far from the old town, but the service and food were okay.

The service of the hotel is excellent, the staff would always greet the guest with huge smile. Great location and you can take a walk along the riverside. Breakfast was great with a variety of choices and we didn’t even need to have lunch after such abundant of food in the morning. Beds are confortable and the only defect of the hotel is that the facilites and furnishings are a little bit out-of-date. We will definitely choose this hotel if we travel to Chiangmai next time.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights with our twins. Overall, it was a decent stay, but the building definitely shows its age.

The staff were wonderful — very friendly and accommodating, especially when they provided cots for our twins without any fuss. The room was spacious, which was a big plus for us as a family. Unfortunately, the hotel itself and the room had a musty, damp smell, possibly from old water damage or mould. The air conditioning helped air things out, but the scent was noticeable when we first arrived.

The decor and building are quite dated and could really use a refresh. The view from our window was lovely, though the window had a tint or film on it that made everything look a bit blurry.

The buffet breakfast was good, especially the kids’ area and options for younger guests, which we appreciated. However, the menu was the same every day, so a bit more variety would have made the experience better during a longer stay.
The location is convenient — about 10–15 minutes from most tourist spots, which made getting around fairly easy.

Overall, it’s a good hotel with great staff and a nice family-friendly atmosphere, but it’s definitely in need of some renovation and a fresher feel.

The rooms are not as large as advertised and given the building is over a 100 years old soundproofing is non existent... it is kind of of the way and could use some hot water and perhaps a heated pool... guests are friendly and it is nice to hangout at the bar next to the river... food and drink prices are very reasonable and overall this is a nice place to take a respite while traveling

I did come for the sauna /spa. No sauna, only a steam cabin that smelled like it hasn't been cleaned for a while. Dirty showers & rest facilities.

During my stay in November this was a nice and quiet guesthouse to stay in Chiang Mai. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially the guy who makes breakfast. As often, places like theses would need some proper renovation in some areas, but my room was clean and tidy, daily housekeeping kept it that way. I would have loved some more sun during the day, the trees by the pool give a lot of shade. When the sauna opens it gets crowded. The surrounding garden is beautiful and the location by the river is peaceful and gives you the feeling of not being in a city.

It was a great time there. Located in a serene part of Chiang Mai. The place was quite spacious on the inside even though you might not have enough car park. Friendly staff, clean locker rooms and bathroom. The heat from the sauna wasn't quite hot enough, maybe it could be hotter but I didn't request. Didn't see no condom or lube dispenser especially for those who went there for just sex. I hated that I had to pay extra for a bigger towel. Swimming pool looked tempting but it was 17 degrees so no way I was gonna get in. Overall it's a pretty descent place. Just ask for things incase they are not where you'd expect them to be. I really didn't ask for much so don't judge them completely from my negative comments.
