Galata Times Hotel in Istanbul

Booked 6 nights here and enjoyed all 6 of them.
• Room is clean, cozy and furnished. Relatively quiet despite being in the tourist center
• Buffet Breakfast was amazing, meals varied a lot so you dont get bored easily (and they all tasted delicious and fresh)
• On my birthday, they surprised me with cheesecake and song while having breakfast 😳😊
• Staff were really friendly and helpful
• Never needed to book a taxi or take public transport, all attractions and places worth visiting within walking distance

Will come again and recommend!

The location was the best, love the terrace and the view of the gala tower and the city. The staff was super attentive and nice. Breakfast was delicious and great variety. However, no noise insulation in the room thus you could hear the next room and when they used the bathroom as well. The room chosen was ok but smaller than expected.

I had a very positive experience at Galata Times Hotel. The rooms were clean, fresh, and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and assisted us with everything we needed. Rahmi helped me with recommendations for great restaurants, and another receptionist who worked during the night shift made me feel safe and welcomed from the very first day.

The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring Istanbul — close to many attractions and easy to get around.

My stay at the Galata Times for seven days was a truly wonderful experience. The staff, in particular, were incredibly helpful and exceptionally friendly. They significantly enhanced my trip by offering numerous recommendations, assisting with event bookings and transportation, and providing valuable insights into local activities and dining options. Their warm hospitality made me feel like a member of their extended family. The young woman at the breakfast restaurant was especially delightful, greeting me with a cheerful smile each morning and offering excellent advice on navigating the city.

The rooms were impeccably maintained, and I particularly appreciated the modern bathrooms. The hotel's panoramic 360-degree views are simply breathtaking, especially while enjoying the delicious Turkish breakfast at the rooftop lounge. The location is incredibly convenient, allowing for easy walking access to various attractions or quick access to the metro, which is conveniently located nearby. I am already looking forward to my return to Istanbul and will undoubtedly choose to stay at that hotel once again.

Great location, great and kind staff. Breakfast is a plus with great view of the city and Galata tower. Clean rooms. We stayed in the connected rooms which was really convenient.

The location is right next to the Galata Tower, just across the street. There's a bus stop nearby, making it quite convenient. The room was small, and there were hairs on the pillows. Overall, it was pretty decent. The breakfast wasn't very varied, and I'm not sure what Chinese people are used to.

An Exceptional Stay in the Heart of Istanbul

We had a wonderful experience at Galata Times Hotel! The location is unbeatable—just steps away from Galata Tower, Istiklal Street, and easy access to the metro and tram.

What truly set our stay apart, though, was the outstanding service. A special thank you to Rami at the front desk—he went above and beyond to help us with local recommendations, ferry schedules, and even last-minute changes to our plans. He was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making our stay perfect.

If you’re visiting Istanbul and want a boutique hotel with comfort, convenience, and personal hospitality, Galata Times Hotel is a great choice. We’ll definitely be back!

Our family of 4 stayed at the Galata Times Hotel for 4 nights recently. The location is fantastic, near the Galata Tower, the Metro and a bunch of cute streets with numerous restaurants and cafes. Our rooms were clean and made up every day by the staff. Breakfast was served on the rooftop. In addition to the fabulous view looking across the water to the Blue Mosque there were many food choices. All staff at the hotel were fantastic. Everyone spoke English and were very helpful, before we arrived answering my questions, and during our stay. Resit, Rahmi, Shahin, Simin and others whose names I don't have. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We loved Istanbul and this hotel was a big part of our experience.

Even though there was a mix-up with our room type reservation, the front desk resolved the issue very efficiently and we had great chat as well. Also recommended us some great local restaurants and places to visit.

The room was clean and had everything we needed, although it didn’t have an outside view. The included breakfast was quite good and served on a rooftop with a beautiful view — a nice alternative to visiting the Galata Tower itself.

Overall, highly recommended for its price, value, and excellent location.
