Levent Lavandula Hotel in Istanbul

The air conditioner was broken and they refused to repair it. The front desk service was extremely poor, with a terrible attitude. The room was very small and completely different from what we saw online — totally deceptive. At night, they promised to change our room the next day, but they didn’t. Their excuse was that all rooms were full. The overall experience was awful. Having such a hotel in Turkey really damages the country’s image.

My three-night stay at the Lavandula Hotel was an absolute nightmare, all due to a shocking lack of cleanliness and truly awful service.

I was immediately appalled the second I entered the first room. The walls were falling apart, and there was dust, hair, and even garbage scattered on the floor. The mirror was cracked. The worst was the overwhelming, deep-set smell of cigarette smoke in the mattress and pillows, which made sleeping out of the question. I had to go to the front desk at 11:30 PM to ask for a change. The receptionist was totally wrapped up in a phone call, only half-listening to me, and never once hung up.

I finally got a new room the next day, but the issues persisted. While the second room was marginally cleaner, trying to sleep was still tough because the only blanket provided was a giant towel.

To top it all off, a jacket worth hundreds of euros that I'd left in the first room has mysteriously gone missing. I'm sure the "new owner" is quite happy.

Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this establishment entirely.

I had to go to the front desk at 11:30 PM to ask for a new room. The receptionist, completely engrossed in a phone call, listened to me with only half an ear and never ended his conversation. I was able to switch rooms the next day, but the problems continued. While the new room was slightly cleaner, sleeping was still difficult because the only blanket provided was a giant towel. To make things worse, a jacket worth several hundred euros that I had left behind in the first room mysteriously disappeared. I'm sure the "new owner" is enjoying it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

Rooms are not that clean, bathroom toilet smells of cigarettes smoke and toilet even though I am not a smoker. Exhaust problem.. no water was left in the room I had to ask the receptionist and the some of the reception staff wasn’t very friendly morning time they could see that I was struggling with my crutches and my luggage and everything. They did not even get up and offer any help so overall I would not recommend somebody with any sort of disability. Hotel needs to be more clean it needs to be bathrooms exhaust in the bathrooms need to be clean and staff need to be more customers focused and friendly.
