Asur Hotel in Istanbul

Loved this hotel! The staff is super helpful and kind, rooms were perfectly clean and comfortable (stayed in the jr. suite), location is perfect - trams are just a few minutes walk on two sides of the hotel, but you can easily walk anywhere as well. Breakfast had so many options to choose from, it was amazing. Will definitely stay here again!

I absolutely love this place so much - the care the staff provide to customers, the food, the location, the bedrooms - if you want an amazing time in Sultanahmet/ Istanbul I would highly recommend this hotel.

I promise you, you won’t have a bad experience here and it’s such an easy walk for the best tourist attractions.

Excellent hotel. The breakfasts were delicious and varied; I particularly loved the Turkish menu! The restaurant was clean, beautifully decorated, I'd even say sophisticated. Everything was tidy, quiet, and peaceful, and the service was attentive yet unobtrusive. We booked two economy rooms. The rooms were clean, and housekeeping did a good job, changing towels when they were left on the floor. The bathroom had bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, cotton swabs, cotton pads, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. I don't think there was a shaving kit. A minor downside was the non-removable rain shower head; water only came from above. However, the water pressure was good, and the temperature was easy to adjust. In one of our rooms, the forced ventilation in the bathroom wasn't working. I never mentioned it, as I kept forgetting, but it still aired out fine. The rooms faced an inner courtyard, which wasn't too small and even got some sunlight. On the plus side, it was quiet, and we kept the window open all day. Courtyard wells in St. Petersburg are much worse by comparison.

The location is convenient, with major European-side attractions within walking distance, and transport stops nearby: Marmaray (3 minutes), tram (5 minutes), ferry (10-15 minutes). The metro was a bit further, but we didn't use it. The proximity to the ferry was especially convenient for trips to the Asian side, as it's cheaper than the Marmaray.

The surrounding neighborhoods are also very pleasant – with cafes, shops, and many other hotels, and the atmosphere felt completely safe.

We travelled in May and stayed with a friend in the Junior Suite 7, which was absolutely stunning and offered spectacular views of the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque). The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and perfect for a relaxing stay.
The buffet breakfast was incredibly varied, with plenty of sweet and savory options to choose from, including fresh pastries, cereals, cheeses, eggs, meats, fruit, and much more — everything was delicious and of excellent quality.
Guests staying at the hotel also receive a discount at the Lotus Restaurant & Café, which made it even more enjoyable to dine there. It was a practical and pleasant solution, especially after long days out exploring.
The hotel’s location is ideal. All the major attractions are within walking distance, including Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Spice Bazaar, the Grand Bazaar, the Basilica Cistern, Topkapı Palace, and Gülhane Park, which is a beautiful green space right next to the palace. The tram stop is just two minutes away and connects easily to Galata Tower and the Asian side of Istanbul. The surrounding area is full of cafés, restaurants, and shops — perfect for strolling, eating, and shopping.
What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to give suggestions on what to see or where to eat. Every time we came back to the hotel, they would greet us with a smile and ask about our day, which made us feel really cared for.
We also arranged round-trip airport transfers through the hotel, and on the morning of our departure, which was very early, they kindly prepared a breakfast for us at 3:30 am — once again, with a smile.
Besides the location and value for money, what actually convinced us to book this hotel was a review that criticized the staff for being “too friendly.” For us, that was exactly what we were looking for. It’s wonderful to feel at home and to meet new people when you travel.

I just returned home from Istanbul and stayed at Asur Hotel — I absolutely loved it! The location is excellent, close to everything! The staff is very friendly, and I felt right at home. The food was also very good. The hotel is very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the room was cleaned every single day. From now on, I will definitely stay only at this hotel!

Burhan is a very nice guy and he gave us very perfect service as soon as we arrived the hotel. Also the front desk allowed us to enter into the room at Eight O’clock in the morning. We will definitely come to live in this hotel next time

Lastly this hotel is located in the centre of the old town and can walk few minutes to go to every sightseeing
