I would like to submit an official complaint regarding Mardy Suit Hotel (Istanbul) due to a complete mismatch between the actual accommodation conditions and the information and photos presented on ***********. Check-in date: 08 March 2026 Upon arrival at the hotel, I was provided with a room that was in extremely poor condition: • the room was dirty and not properly cleaned • the carpet had visible stains and debris • there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke, although this was not indicated during booking • the bathroom had a strong sewage smell • the overall condition of the room did not match the photos and description on *********** I reported these issues to the reception staff, however the hotel employees responded that “we are in Turkey” and refused to resolve the problem. Due to the unsanitary conditions and strong odor, it was impossible to stay in the room. Therefore, I had no choice but to leave the hotel and urgently book another accommodation. The hotel administration also refused to issue a refund, despite the fact that the room clearly did not correspond to the advertised conditions. I am attaching: • real photos of the room • photos from the Booking listing for comparison I kindly ask *********** to investigate this property and process a refund, as the accommodation service was not properly provided.

The location is excellent and easy to reach, with the added bonus of private parking, super convenient. From the moment you arrive, the staff make you feel genuinely welcome. They’re friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile.

Good experience but could do with some improvement

Staff did not clean the room first couple of days of my stay and I had to constantly call them. The carpet in the room had stain marks and was very dirty.

I had a wonderful stay at Mardy Hotel. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and attentive, always ready to help with a smile. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it easy to relax after a long day. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and transport.
Breakfast was fresh and had a good variety, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel felt warm and inviting. What stood out most was the personal touch in the service — it really made the stay memorable

I had several issues with the room (an unstable bed, poor drainage in the shower, and more), but I usually prefer to be easygoing and not point out every single detail.
When I reported these problems and requested to move to another room, my request was denied under the pretext that no other rooms were available. Instead, they offered to check the issues and fix what they could.
I agreed to this suggestion, and a staff member came to the room. He started with the bathroom, where he removed hair clogs. Immediately, a foul odor began to spread throughout the room from the shower drain that had just been cleaned, making it impossible for me and my family to remain there even for a minute.
I reported the matter to Booking.com, and while passing by the reception, the hotel had already received an email from Booking.com inquiring about my complaint. The receptionist then told me that someone had just checked out and asked me to wait until the room was prepared so I could be moved there. At that moment, what I assume was the manager appeared, visibly angry that I had filed a complaint. He told me outright that he would not assist me with my problem as long as I had complained about the hotel, and he refused to provide me with any kind of service to resolve the issue.
(He even said: “Since you complained, let’s see what your complaint will do for you.”)
Anyone willing to stay at this hotel may do so, but be warned: if you dare to speak up about any issue, you will not receive any help. This hotel restricts freedom and silences guests from expressing their opinions or problems.

I definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff is incredibly attentive. The rooms are very clean and practical. I will definitely come to this hotel every time I come to Istanbul and you can easily reach anywhere you want to go in Istanbul from this hotel, the transportation route is only 1 minute. ☺️☺️
