Meydan Otel Uskudar in Istanbul

It's one of the most disgusting, filthy places you'll ever see. Don't go by yourself, or be embarrassed enough to take a friend. It's a place my friend and I stumbled upon and went to stay until our night flight. There's no card payment; you pay 800 TL in cash per person. As if to do us a favor, they gave us a room with a bathroom. When we went upstairs, we learned that some rooms don't have bathrooms or toilets, so we had to use the bathroom toilet in the hallway. We went in, two separate beds, the window wide open, and the inside was full of flies. They hadn't even bothered to install a single mosquito net. The curtains were torn, the thick curtains were holes and short. There was an air conditioner in the room, but it was just a decorative item. There were women's hairs and cigarette ashes on the carpet, and the bathroom toilet was a water heater built into the bathroom. There was no barrier to prevent water from entering the room where you could wash; the water flowed directly into the room; not even a squeegee was installed. The blankets were bare, and it was unclear when they were last washed. It was unclear whether the sheets and pillowcases were clean. The only thing working in the room was the TV. When you leave your room in the evening, you leave your key on the door, but the waiter doesn't even ask which room you're leaving from. Such an irrelevant, disgraceful establishment in the heart of Üsküdar is unbecoming; it needs to be sealed.

It's so dirty and noisy you can't sleep until the morning. Unfortunately

Don't be fooled by the word "hotel" and go stay there. I'd rather sleep on the street or in a park than stay here; it's more hygienic and comfortable. 👎

Don't go here, friends. The beds here are old and they charge more than other hotels and you can't stay there for more than 3 hours because there is a bad smell. It doesn't even deserve 1 star.
