I had a very pleasant stay at Skalion Hotel in Istanbul. The location is good, within walking distance to the Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and many restaurants and shops. It made exploring the city very easy and convenient.
What made my stay truly special was the staff. A big thank you to Mariam, Ismail, and all the other team members for their kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality. They were always helpful, attentive, and ready to assist with anything I needed.
The room was clean and comfortable, housekeeping was consistent, and breakfast had a good variety of fresh options.
Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Istanbul.

This hotel is a great hotel we did come around renovation time but nevertheless the staff gave me and my mother a great experience. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Definitely coming back when all the changes are done. The staff looked after us well, had a friendly faces and a great attitude to their jobs. They give you a lot of information on local attractions! Everyone please support this hotel.

The staff were incredibly friendly. Gunel, Mariem, and Mazlum were exceptionally kind and wonderful. Their service truly made me want to return to this hotel. However, there was one employee whose behavior was poor. I hope I won't encounter her next time I return. The location is beautiful and close to everything.

The first arrival at the reception, I met Veysel, who told me the price is 90 euros each night. I want to stay two nights. After searching the price through agencies it turns out to be 48 euros each night. Veysel tells me he can provide me two nights for 80 euros each night. I accepted it since my phone didn't work and broke down. He gives me room 105, a standard room, outside the window there is a huge ventilation unit making noise, a grinding noise echoing in the room making it hard to sleep and rest for two days. After asking for a new room, because of the noise. He refuses to help.
His only focus is selling rooms not providing any sense of what customer service is. The breakfast is alright, a lot of variety and cheap quality. The good is scrambled eggs and boiled. The waiters are very kind, smiling and they listen carefully. These skills are not seen at the reception. The way they welcome you there is unpleasant, focus is not on service, focus is how much can we overcharge a tourist and rip them off. The quality of the materials used throughout the hotel, claiming it to be a four-star hotel is not right. The seals on the bathroom are cheap and worn, the sealing is old and dirty. The rooms are worn and the quality is cheap. The maids cleaning the rooms don't understand customer privacy. She knocked on my door during morning time, woke me up and then said, I thought you were gone eating breakfast. The view from the rooftop restaurant is amazing, throughout the lobby you will meet cats living on the street, if you have allergies towards cats, now you know.

The hotel is in a great location, about a 20-minute walk from the Blue Mosque and within easy walking distance of many main attractions. We didn’t use public transport, but the metro was recommended a few times. I wouldn’t suggest taxis, as traffic in the area is very heavy.

Inside, the hotel is generally nice, though I did find the public areas could have been a bit cleaner. Our first room (209) wasn’t ideal, with very low door frames, especially the bathroom door, which was genuinely unsafe. After bumping my head during a night-time visit, we asked to change rooms the next morning. Thankfully, the staff were understanding and moved us without issue, and we had no further problems. That said, the hotel design isn’t exactly ergonomic.

Breakfast was average but decent, with a reasonable variety and very good coffee. The best part is that breakfast, dinner, and the bar are all served on the 7th floor, which offers wonderful views of the Marmara Sea. Sitting there with a coffee or drink was a highlight of the stay.

Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the rooms were cleaned well each day. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its location, views, and service, just avoid room 209

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at Historial Hotel. The location is excellent—within walking distance to major historical sites, and right across from a beautiful historic church. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was welcoming. Considering the price, it offers great value. Some reviews seem overly harsh, but I had a very good experience overall.

Not friendly staff when trying to communicate, rooms very disgusting with smell of urine and mold. It’s also available for renting per hour...which says it all. I would recommend you to NOT book at this hotel. We ended up in a dark valley instead of in the hotel we booked.

The check in and out was efficient and the room was perfect and cleaned well every day. The spa is outstanding! We had a Turkish bath and Swedish massage and it was honestly the best we have ever had. Mana the masseuse was very professional with a did an incredible massage. The guest relations were excellent and a special thanks to Gonca who checked in on us all the time and made our stay awesome! The breakfasts were delicious! We will definitely book there if we are coming to the old city!

The location of the hotel is perfect! The balconies are a little bit small, but the location & service are so good one doesn't care for the room. It is almost next to famous tourist attractions places such as Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace & Blue Mosque. Make sure to find Gonca,Yagmur when you go there. They are amazing..
