We went to Maromi in the hotel this evening and everything was great!!!
Zaki and the other staff were great and took very good cars of us.
There is a calm atmosphere and the food is very good,also the fish was a very good quality and there was a little kitty🥰.
The prices are good, about 25€ per person.
The restaurant is inside the hotel and 5 minutes from taksim square.
Come here if you visit!!

This is the first time that my rate is 5/5 but I think that this hotel worths much more.The main reason is that mostly the managers and also all the staff generally proved that hospitality, kindness and respect are the key factors that diverse a hotel.

Furthermore, the location is the best,rooms are spacious,clean and luxurious,the breakfast is great and tha spa area is very very good.

Experience at Divan hotel was excellent and totally recommended.

We love to stay at the Divan and so came again. Today we were having great time at breakfast. They surprised me with a birthday cake 🎂 this was amazing.
A big thank espacially to Mrs Tutku, Mrs Nilgün, Mrs Damla and all staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Divan Taxim Istanbul. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. Their decor and size of the rooms is perfect for short stays or longer stays. All the restaurants serve fine foods from all over the world at a reasonable price. One of our favorites was Maromi where we dined on excellent soups and sushi. The quality, freshness and presentation was outstanding. Zeki Bayan, our maitre de was very attentive and friendly. The chefs are from Japan who have been working at the Divan for many years which reflects the loyalty among staff and management.

Good hotel, but the room we stayed in had some issues - one of the showers had mould like stains and wasn’t coming out properly the water. Also one of the nights the ceiling panel near the door came down and almost hit my head could have been killed. Nothing done about it by the hotel. The snacks in the room / room service had extortionate pricing. The cafe the staff weren’t that bothered to help when trying to order.

When going for swimming the pool temperature and the actual temperature was different and colder.

Good notes - great location, most staff are very helpful and friendly. Traffic time can be difficult at times to get back. I don’t think I’d come back to this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always ready to help with a smile, which made me feel very welcome.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing — fresh, varied, and full of flavor. I especially loved the selection of pastries, fresh fruit, and hot dishes that were clearly prepared with care. The coffee was great too!
Overall, everything exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay with excellent service and a delicious breakfast to start the day.

Review – Nippon Hotel, Istanbul
I stayed at Nippon Hotel during the end of the year and New Year period. The hotel was fully booked, including many families, yet the overall experience was very good.
The service was excellent, the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and it fully matched my expectations. Housekeeping and staff support were professional and responsive.
Breakfast offered a good variety of options, and if something was not available, the staff were willing to accommodate special requests, which was appreciated.
The location of the hotel is also very convenient, with easy access to exchange offices, supermarkets, restaurants, and shisha cafés. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay.
I wish the hotel continued success.

On the first night, I complained to the hotel because I couldn’t sleep due to the heat (in winter time), I was tired then. They were unable to fix the air conditioner, and next morning I asked to change rooms. They moved us to another room that is smaller, for four people, but with better air conditioning. This means I paid for a Family Deluxe room of 35 m² but had to stay in a room of about 20 m². This experience is bad.

I have stayed at three other hotels in Turkey during this trip, and all of them were good. Only Nippon Hotel made my holiday incomplete. I really regret choosing Nippon Hotel; if I had read other guests’ reviews on Google more carefully, I would not have made this booking.

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The property is very clean, and the staff are friendly, welcoming, and consistently helpful. I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the welcoming fruit plates and Turkish delights, which made the stay feel even more personalized.

The breakfast was fair, with a reasonable selection. One of the strongest aspects of the stay was the team at the reception; they were always attentive, responding to guest requests promptly and professionally.

Overall, a comfortable stay with great service and good hospitality. I would happily consider returning.

Good service overall. In the rooms, the wardrobes are very small. If you plan to go with small children, you won’t be able to enter or exit with a stroller, which really annoyed me. The hotel doesn’t have parking. Breakfast is moderately good.

Edit 1: the issue is solved after a long discussion back and forth with the hotel and Booking.com.
Thanks to Nancy from the reception she is so helpful and collaborative! Without her the issue was not solved.

I just arrived today at 2 PM, and the room was extremely hot. I asked the reception to check the air conditioning, and they told me it was fixed. I trusted them and went out for the day. When I came back around 10 PM, the room was even hotter!

I called the reception again (different shift this time), and the person told me there’s no cold air, only heating, because the entire building uses central AC. Seriously? Every guest has to accept the same temperature? What if someone wants a cooler room? This makes absolutely no sense.

I told him that if they cannot provide cold air, then please refund my money so I can move to another hotel. He told me to contact Booking.com. I did, and Booking informed me that the hotel just needs to send a confirmation email to approve a refund. However, the reception refused, saying that only the reservation team can do that — and they don’t work on weekends! So now I have to wait until Monday, meaning I’m forced to spend two nights in a room at 29°C!

This is completely unacceptable. Poor management, poor communication, and zero care for guests’ comfort. I am stuck here suffering because of their unprofessional system.

Avoid this hotel unless you enjoy sleeping in a sauna!
