New Galata Hotels in Istanbul

I highly recommend this hotel. We rented a standard room:
1. The windows overlook some kind of auto repair shop or tire shop; opening and airing the room is difficult, and it smells like plastic or burnt rubber.
2. The hotel is very tired: the walls, baseboards, and shower stall have black mold in the ceiling, seams, and joints.
3. The bathroom is a separate joke, not separated from the bedroom in any way, so it's not for couples in long-term relationships, so to speak.
4. On the plus side, the bed linens are clean and the staff is very dedicated to maintaining the hotel's reputation.

We weren't offered early check-in; we waited until 2:00 PM, left our luggage at the hotel, walked around the city, and returned to find the room was still being cleaned. We waited another 30 minutes, meaning it was supposed to be ready between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, but they didn't make it. When we entered, we saw the state of the room and asked to change it or somehow resolve the issue. They told us all the rooms were like that and it was a standard room.

I wouldn't recommend anyone stay here; the staff should find another job.

By the way, you can't find it by search engine by this name; it used to be called Galata Grace, and the sign is also hard to find.
