Hotel Tashkonak

The staff at the hotel were very kind and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, there were several issues that need addressing. The bathroom was a major disappointment—it was unhygienic, the bathing area was poorly maintained, and the showerhead didn’t work properly, making it impractical to use. At times, the water even came out rusty. Housekeeping wasn’t thorough and didn’t clean the bathroom properly. Additionally, the curtains in the room were too thin, allowing in too much light and making it difficult to rest. Breakfast was decent, but there’s room for improvement. While the staff’s hospitality was great, the cleanliness, maintenance, and comfort need significant attention.

I booked my stay at this hotel through Booking.com. Everything looked great in the pictures, but the reality was disappointing. The room we were given was not the one we had booked and was noticeably smaller than what was shown in the photos.

When we requested a room change, the man at reception told us they wouldn’t change it if the bed had been used. We had only been in the room for about 10 minutes, and after they checked the bed, they finally agreed to move us to another room.

Unfortunately, the new room wasn’t any better. The curtains had holes, the walls were cracked, and there were several other issues. After some quick thinking, I decided it was best to change hotels altogether.

When I approached the reception about leaving, they informed me there might be issues with reimbursing my money and advised me to speak to the owner the next day. After some back and forth, I finally managed to get my money refunded and moved to a different hotel.

In summary, while the hotel is conveniently located near sightseeing spots, I strongly advise against staying here. The misleading photos and poor service made this experience incredibly frustrating.
