Terra Suites in Istanbul

Before booking, I did my research carefully. I chose Terra Suites because the photos and reviews online made it seem clean, trustworthy, and comfortable. Unfortunately, what I walked into was the complete opposite. My experience at Terra Suites left me shocked, upset, and deeply disappointed. From the moment I opened the door, I felt something was terribly wrong. A strong, smell hit me immediately, and as I walked inside, it only got worse. The apartment was dirty , neglected, and nothing like the clean, welcoming space shown online. The toilet was leaking, adding to the sense of chaos and discomfort. But the moment that truly broke me was when, as I was pleading with ******* customer service for help, I saw a mouse running underneath the bed. I cannot describe the fear and disbelief I felt. No traveler should ever have to deal with something like this. At that point, I knew this wasn’t just unpleasant—it was a serious health risk. It was very late but I managed to book another place to stay for the night . What made everything even harder was that the manager of Terra Suites refused to give me a refund, despite the conditions being completely unacceptable and nothing like what was promised. The lack of care, responsibility, and basic professionalism was truly heartbreaking. This property should never be available on any booking site until they fix everything. No one deserves to walk into a place that feels unsafe, unclean, and entirely misrepresented. From now on, I will always choose hotels instead of private hosts, because I never want to go through something like this again. I hope my review protects other travellers from experiencing the disappointment, and frustration I went through at this property.

A terrible hotel.
The worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Don't be fooled by the reviews and ratings.

We came as a family, and we have a child. The room had one king-size bed and one single bed. The moment we entered, we found it filthy and smelled awful. The sheets and pillowcases weren't clean. Since we arrived a little early, I assumed the cleaning hadn't been completed, so we left our belongings and left, asking for it to be cleaned. Half an hour after leaving, I returned because we'd forgotten our phone, and the room they claimed had been cleaned had no sheets or pillows on the single bed. We have a child, so you need to make the single bed, and there were no towels in the room. I said, "Leave a towel in the room." I said, "You should leave one." I left.

When we returned in the evening, nothing had changed. The room was still dirty and smelled awful. The sheets and pillows, including the single bed, weren't clean. The towels were also insufficient, and there were no head towels.

I booked two nights through ********** for a five-day trip to Istanbul, just in case, but out of necessity, I barely spent one night there and checked out immediately the next morning, finding another hotel and moving there.

It's in a terrible location and transportation, requiring you to hike up and down hills.

I recommend staying away and never choosing this hotel.

The receptionist at check-in said no English at all. The TV wouldn't turn on either, and it actually turned on after about 40 minutes after changing the batteries. It's more of a renovated apartment than a hotel. People cannot always be available. He sleeps whether he is alone or not. I would turn a blind eye if the price was low, but I have to say it because they charge a fair amount.
