Amadeus Hotel in Istanbul

The place was so terrible we only stayed 1 out of 5 nights that we paid for - my daughter was almost in tears when we arrived at night. The place is missold - at least the twin room is. Central location is the only good thing - but the area isn't very nice and is expensive. The manager was in the lobby but had his receptionist try and talk to me.
Dirt linen, crazy low ceilings (we were told just sleep there, don't stand), no floor space or wardrobe, paper thin walls, moul don the walls, exposed wires - just plain awful!

It was the most horrible experience I’ve ever had while traveling!
Horrible!!!!! Do your research before booking this hotel!! The room we received was extremely dirty, from the bed sheets to the shower! The room was very small!
We complained about having no hot water and no water pressure on the third floor, and they lied, saying it would be fixed overnight!
The breakfast was just as disgusting!!!
The manager charged us for two nights (even though we only stayed one and requested to cancel the reservation) — with no regrets or sense of guilt for the terrible conditions provided to us as tourists!
Horrible! Be very careful when booking this hotel!!!
It should be shut down for the kind of conditions it offers to tourists!!

The view and location was good. The breakfast was nice, with birds and cats wandering around, but I tried to feed one and got scratched. 😬

Unfortunatelly, we left after one night (instead of 3) due to low pressure of water which never went hot, barely lukewarm.
The place wasn’t well kept, as you can see on the pictures, we also arrived to dirty bed linnens and towels - which were promptly exchanged upon request.
The ceiling was simply too low to feel nice there.
The walls too thin and we heard everyone inside or on the street, including boats.

We have booked another accomodation the same night as commucation over booking with the property ended with them saying the water is working and they clean everyday.
Since we haven’t paid while check-in - via message they said it is better to pay cash when I asked for card payment, but at the reception they said the card machine is not working and we didnt have enough cash - we tried to negotiate the price with the owner and he offered to waive the fee for the third night only. Because he wont beable to get guests the same day - as they are “family hotel”.

We had been travelling Turkey from the very east and got a nice service everywhere, it is not that I have too high standards, but I was getting what I was paying for.

Terrible experience: avoid Hotel Antique at all costs❗️❗️❗️

I booked Hotel Antique in Istanbul for 4 nights but left after the second night due to an utterly disappointing experience, and just after I found another hotel with a free room. The reality of the hotel was a far cry from the falsely advertised images online (from multiple different hotels actually!).

Firstly, the room's ceiling was a mere 1.90cm tall, making it impossible for anybody over the average height to stand straight. The shower's ceiling was even lower.

The cleanliness of the room was disturbing: dead bugs were on the bed, dirt and dust covered the floor, and the windows appeared as though they hadn't seen a sponge since the Ottoman era. ☢️

Moreover, the windows lacked any form of sound or temperature insulation, leading to a freezing and sleepless night due to noise and winds. Oh and the joy of not being able to open them, though one wouldn’t even dare to, given their repulsive state. 🤮

Complaints to the manager about the filthy AC filter were met with the “it’s like that in any hotel”.

The balcony outside is a deathwish honestly, looks like it would collapse. Also filthy with cigarettes thrown there. Oh and yes - the hotel is missing the facade on one side of the building - looks like it fell off. ☠️

They wanted to refund only for one night even though we had 3 more that we paid for.

In conclusion, steer clear of Hotel Antique and save yourself from a regrettable stay.

I stayed one night at this hotel and I do not recommend it!!!
the pictures presented on the website are not real, we didn't like anything.. the shower is horrible, the bathroom smelled bad! the mattress, the pillow, are not comfortable, we didn't manage to rest.. not to mention the breakfast, we didn't have dared to eat there!
not worth the money paid (69 Eur)!
