Katelya Hotel in Istanbul

We had 4 amazing nights with this beautiful hotel. Location is great everywhere important walking distance 10min. Max. Very clean , quite area. They cleaned the room and changed linens everyday. Breakfast was so fulfilling. But most importantly customer service was superb. Special thanks to Yasin, Yunus and Malik. We will recommend and come back again ❤️🙏

The recepcionist was the best host ever! He hs given us the best tips to we have a very nice experience around the city. We recieved a map with a bunch of tips, locations and names of places, banks, prices that the recepcionist was writing and explaining about every point we would like to visit. The hotel breakfast was very nice and super delicious with tipical foods, local cheeses and so on.

Hotel Katelya is a wonderfully central hotel, perfectly located for exploring the city. One of its standout features is the beautiful terrace with a stunning sea view, the ideal spot to start or end your day. The staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. Breakfast offers a wide selection of fresh and delicious options every morning.

We had a wonderful stay at this small hotel located in a quiet area, yet very close to the main attractions. The room was quite comfortable and clean, with large windows that allowed plenty of natural light to fill the space. The breakfast provided was sufficient and just what we needed to start the day.

What truly stood out, however, was the amazing staff. They were always smiling, kind, and eager to assist with anything we needed. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable.
4 stars because there is always room for improvement.
We will definitely visit again in the future!

What a wonderful place! The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout my entire stay. I have to mention the breakfast—it was delicious, and the omelets were a real highlight! The terrace offers a stunning view of the sea, which was a great bonus. My room was always kept spotless, and the location is perfect, with all the popular places just a short walk away

One of the things that sets this hotel apart is the helpfulness, kindness, and professionalism of the staff. Everyone from the manager to the kitchen and cleaning crew were welcoming and warm to my children.

We reserved the family room which is in the building across the tiny street from the main hotel. It’s a mini-apartment and had ample space for my family of five (3 kids). It has a full bath with shower. It also had a medium sized refrigerator, plates, cups, and a table so we could store food and water which helps save money on eating out. It has a small balcony.

The desk is staffed late which accommodated our family’s late arrival. They all spoke English. Again, they were exceedingly kind and friendly to my family.

The breakfast buffet is excellent. I highly recommend you include it when you reserve a room to avoid the more expensive dining options in this area.

The open top floor of the hotel gives you a wonderful panoramic view of the Sea of Marmara. It’s open 24/7.

There are dozens of restaurants within five minutes walk and less. There is a small grocery store a block away.

If we return to Istanbul we will stay here!

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days. All the staff are super kind. Beautiful and super clean rooms. Every day we were cleaned and changed towels. Typical local breakfast. Hotel located in a very strategic area, zero chaos and very close to the Blue Mosque. Nearby metro, tram and in any case super comfortable even turning everything on foot. It's recommended.

I used the hotel terrace to propose to my girlfriend. I made the marriage proposal at sunset with a calm and magnificent view of Istanbul. The hotel staff helped me with all my requests from the beginning to all stages. I also had the opportunity to take a look at the hotel during this organization. The rooms were spacious, functional and very clean. If you happen to be here, they will be happy to help you with small surprises. For those looking for a clean and affordable hotel with a sea view in the center of Istanbul, this hotel awaits you with its smiling staff.

We discovered the wonderful city of Istanbul last year, in april. Since then, we have visited it 3 times. Three times, even if you stay 3-4 days, definetely are'nt enough to visit the places full of history, to get acquainted with the wonderful culture and customs of the Turkish people. This time (august 7-11, 2024) we chose the Katelya hotel. The hotel is very well positioned, it is very close (5-15 minutes of slow walking) to the Sultan Ahmet Mosque, Hagia Sophia, the Basilica Cistern and the Topkapi Palace. The hotel has nice, comfortable rooms with small kitchenettes. On the roof, the hotel has a terrace with an amazing view of the city and the Sea of ​​Marmara. The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. I would especially like to mention the receptionists Ferhat, Yunus and the manager Malik. They speak english very well, they help you with any question, at any time of day or night. Also, i would like to thank the hotel maids, who kept the rooms perfectly clean. As i wrote above, we will return to Istanbul many more times and every time we will book our rooms at this hotel.
