Livro Hotel in Istanbul

I had a wonderful stay at Livro Hotel during a recent layover in Istanbul. The hotel was extremely clean, modern, and very well maintained. The rooms are spacious, including the shower, and everything felt updated and aesthetically pleasing.

The location is excellent — easily walkable to shopping and a variety of restaurants, which made my short stay very convenient. The staff was incredibly accommodating and kind, and they even surprised us with a small souvenir upon departure, which was such a thoughtful touch.

I also appreciated the amenities provided, including slippers, and they were happy to provide toothbrush and toothpaste upon request. Overall, a very comfortable and welcoming stay. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone visiting Istanbul, even for a short layover.

The hotel is cosy, breakfast is fresh and yummy! The rooms were great, always clean. You felt at home!Kadir and Ramon were amazing! Kadir went out of his way to make reservations for us in restaurants and recommended Hammams! They made sure that we were always comfortable!

This hotel is wonderful! The rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the whole hotel is very cool and modern. The location is a huge plus as you can walk everywhere in the old city. The breakfast is also very good.

Livro was the best hotel I’ve ever stayed. It’s a small boutique hotel with a very warm atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, taking care of even the smallest inconveniences in just a couple of minutes. I also loved the breakfast terrace it feels amazing to have breakfast there, and everyone seemed so happy. Lastly the hotel is brand new, and the architecture is stunning.

Location is pretty decent, albeit it's a long hike up & down roads and traffic prevents drivers from doing hotel pickups/drop offs. Several tram stations within a 5-8min walk though. Staff were always friendly and very responsive to requests.

Now the room: it was small and LEAKED terribly. It grew more leaks the 2nd day we were there and we had towels and trashcan strategically placed about the floor & desk. We could barely use the closet space because the bed had to be shoved over so far to avoid getting dripped on (we moved it out just to give enoughspace to walk). My husband had no bed side table (no room on that side) so he used the floor. We had zero walking space that wasn't wet with splatters other than around the bottom & one side of the bed. The desk was completely unusable for sitting at & half of it was getting dripped on. They booked other guests at other hotels and I never did understand why we weren't moved. We just dealt with it. But the staff & manager were made aware everyday and the night staff did their best to provide extra towels & buckets to catch drips. The buildings are very old and we were told (not just by hotel staff actually) that it's very difficult to get permission to renovate those buildings. I'm sure it would have been a lovely stay aside from that issue.

Rooms with balconies are a bit small, but it's nice to be able to do laundry and dry things on a long trip; it's also nice to sit outside and have a cup of tea, but you don't actually spend much time at the hotel; it's very convenient to go sightseeing.

Hreat hotel. An oasis of peace and quiet in the middle of crazy Sulatan Ahmet neighborhood. Great staff and noce breakfast. Thx

The service is very good. There is a problem with the bed size noted on Ctrip. They will help coordinate a room with a larger bed. I hope that guests can provide disposable toothbrushes when needed in the future!

A quiet little hotel in a bustling area, close to all the attractions in the old town, and quiet enough to sleep well at night. The rooms are small, but very newly decorated. Breakfast is full of green salads, which made up for the excessive kebab I ate in Turkey. 😌 The hotel staff are very nice.

This hotel is in a great location, close to Istanbul's core attractions, making it a great choice for travel. However, the hotel is a bit small, and there's not much scenery or space outside the room, making it a bit cramped.
