Reviews
To resolve the situation, I tried calling the property owner again, but neither I nor the receptionist could reach them. Despite calling around 9-10 times, all attempts went unanswered.
The following day, I returned to the property and tried contacting the owner again, but they still did not answer or return any of our calls. That day, under heavy rain, we were left drenched and exhausted, forcing us to find alternative accommodation.
We reported the issue to Agoda and filed a complaint. Agoda attempted to contact the property owner for 72 hours but received no response. Eventually, we were refunded the full amount a week later.
Given the inconvenience we experienced and the complete lack of communication from the property, I absolutely do not recommend this place.
I had the most disappointing and frustrating experience with Luce Di Pera Boutique Hotel, and I feel compelled to warn others. I booked a stay from December 27 to January 1 through Agoda, but when I arrived at the hotel, the manager, a man named "Ahmet," told me that there was no record of my booking. To make matters worse, three other guests — from Iran, Russia, and local residents from Turkey — showed up only to be told the exact same thing.
It became clear that this was no mistake. The hotel was trying to scam guests by refusing to honor online bookings made through platforms like Agoda, likely because they wanted to charge us a higher price directly. This practice is not only dishonest but also deeply damaging to the reputation of Turkish tourism. It's incredibly frustrating to travel all the way to your destination only to be told that your reservation doesn't exist, and it was a complete waste of time and money.
I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. This type of scam is not only unethical, but it also reflects poorly on Turkey's hospitality industry as a whole. Do yourself a favor and choose a different hotel that respects its customers and their bookings.
Upon arrival, we were given the keys to a different room than the one that was booked. (We had booked a room larger than the standard so-called deluxe room). When we said that it was not the room according to our reservation we were told that maybe it would be available the next day.
Instead, we got a room that was very dirty, not vacuumed, simply a mess.
And the bathroom was a fungal burrow.
In view of this, we canceled our stay at this hotel because the standard offered was not in accordance with our reservation. When we said that we resign, the owner removed our reservation from the bookings. It is good that my husband managed to send a complaint to booking.
Unfortunately, they don't want to give us our money back - more than a month now. The hotel was booked through booking, a complaint was filed, but the money was not returned to us. Beware of the scammer - the owner of the hotel.
We should be able to check in at 2 pm, but we only enter room at 2.30 pm and until 3 pm they didn't bring our luggages so I hauled the luggages my self (they forgot, i saw him playing on his handphone).
There were 2 other groups that came after us that they served first, i didn't know why, maybe because they turkish and white or they finished cleaned their rooms first.
I didn't change hotel because i didn't want to gave them the satisfaction of having my money and they could have an empty room they could rent.
There is no ac remote, tv remote battery was unreliable, toilet big flush not working, stain on the carpet, wifi unreliable.
The room is in acceptable size, shower hot water available, it is near the street. The hotel about 800 m to taksim square and 1.3 km from galata tower, still in walkable distance.
The location was great, but that's about it. They did not clean our room even after we asked them. We had to ask them for toilet paper and soap and new towels. We told them it was too hot in the room, but they did not offer to turn on the air conditioning and said there was nothing they could do. There was no trash bin in the room and we did not get one even after we asked. There were limited outlets in the room, so you had to choose between having the TV plugged in or the minifridge. The front desk staff had limited English, making it difficult to communicate effectively. Overall, our stay was lacking in good service and cleanliness.

It is a perfect place to stay if you want to be in the centre of the city.
Even the bathroom was so small
The bed was so tiny we couldn’t sleep normally with the stres if we fall to the ground in the middle of night.
The staff wasn’t friendly at all
The breakfast wasn’t tasty and it didn’t have option to choice
The walls were very thin we heard every noise outside our room
And this place was like burdelo there were a line of men’s waiting to get massage by two women’s
I can say that is not a place to go with your family
The only good thing was the internet
And that this motel was in the city center
Overall maximum grade.
For perfectionists you will probably always find many disadvantages, but if you want a hotel placed in a very good area, with a very good breakfast buffet, at a very good price and with a staff worthy of appreciation - I highly recommend this hotel.
I've been here for 3 days and I'll stay a few more days.
One mistake on the part of the receptionist (For which I have all the respect and I give it the highest grade for kindness) was that he passed me the POS payment note in Turkish lira instead of the euro conversion and initially I paid much less than I should have to pay.
They checked later and it was fixed immediately.
All respect for the reception and the people in the kitchen.
I read several reviews before choosing this hotel and many of the negative reviews are not true. The hotel has been renovated and is still being refurbished.
Grade 10 from me. I am convinced that the staff does everything possible to make you feel at home. 🇹🇷🇹🇩
