Bosphorus Palace Hotel in Istanbul

We traveled all the way from our country to stay at this hotel, and unfortunately our experience started on a very disappointing note. Despite booking a garden view room, we were given a completely different room with no window at all. Our flight had been canceled, and we rebooked another one immediately just to arrive on time and not lose our reservation, only to reach late at night and face this situation.

The staff explained that it was a booking mistake and mentioned that we had paid a lower rate for the room, but regardless, the hotel was fully booked and no solution or compensation was offered. After a long and stressful journey, this made our day even worse and felt like a complete waste of time, money, and effort.

That said, the hotel itself is beautifully designed, the views are stunning, and the breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately, these positives were not enough to make up for the stress and disappointment we experienced upon arrival.

We had a horrible experience at this hotel. We were spending just one day in Istanbul and thought to stay in a hotel with a beautiful view of the Bosphorus. We ended up being scammed by booking.com as we booked a King Room with a Garden View but in reality the room booked was a standard room. A total scam by the definition of the word. Never use booking.com. The problem with the hotel is the standard room is a tiny coffin-like room tucked up in the attic. It’s nicely furnished and all but there is just a wall where a window should be, and small sliver of a window that looks like a prison cell.

The worst part is that there is no AC and it feels like an OVEN. Even the employees are completely out of BREATH just going up to our room. So my problem with the hotel is, even though they were acting nice and corporate, they don’t want to refund us or give us another room. I cannot stay in this hot room for health reasons, they don’t care they still can’t refund for some reason. No accountability at all, just because technically it’s not their fault they can’t be held liable they don’t care about you so there’s no concept of customer service here.
