Grand Mir'Amor Hotel - Ultra All Inclusive in Kemer

Arrived early hours if morning , advised issue with room Aircon not working. Advised to wait 10 mins to be sorted, 20 mins later were told we would be give an alternative room for night and would change in morning. Room provided was not prepared for guests. Went to change room following morning , they knew nothing about it. The sitation was rectified. Rooms = clean and tidy 3 staying in it. However only 2 bath towels provide, 2 cups , 2 glasses. Shortage of toilet paper. This hotel does not cater for English speaking holiday makers. Food = child has a nut allergy, nothing labelled properly and no one appeared to be in charge of restaurant for assistance. Ques are long and by the time you que uour food is cold. Only one or two dishes have a label. Food is very repetative. Cats are both in food areas and where you eat. Lots of que jumping. Snack bar = repetitive but food quite good . Drinks = Often run out of items and regularly given plastic glasses. POOL = Pools were good. Cleanliness around pool could be improved upon. Entertainment = very limited English so difficult. Staff = some were very nice, bar staff , entertainment staff. Some staff are rude on reception.

GOOD POINTS - Staff are wonderful and go out of their way to help. They are very friendly. Some staff stood out through their hard work like Karim (usually at the bar). He was absolutely amazing in supporting my brother inlaws 50th birthday dinner party on the breach. He was super hard working and really deserves to be paid a lot more. Harun was another favorite of our family. All 25 of us got to know him. We called him Mr Rich man. Very smiley, friendly and helpful. Vera the hotel relations manager works so hard and was a go between the issues we had with the hotel along with Enes from the hotel management team. Roma the entertainment manager went out of his way to ensure things went smoothly with the dinner party and cordination in preparation before the event. He even took us to the market to get things we needed for the party. Albina the hotel tour representative also worked tirelessly to ensure our tour trips was good and became like family during our 1 week. These guys and a few that I didn't catch their names were just wonderful. They made the difference in the hotel. NEED FOR IMPROVEMENT - THIS IS NOT A 5* Hotel. I dont know how it got 5stars when we booked it almost 1yr ago. The hotel is VERY dated and understaffed especially the bar areas. This means current staff have to work extra and are worn out. You can see how tired they are but staff try to put on a smile. Management have work to do! Hygiene is a big problem in some of the areas. Flies on food (we took pictures of these). We saw a few cockroaches about too (although mostly outside) and once in the hallway. Reception and spa toilets are disgusting. Bathroom tiles in the room have mould and made my skin crawl and had a bad smell. We had to change our room but it made little difference. Fridge not working in some of the rooms. We wanted to leave but couldn't find somewhere that will hold a family of 25 at a short notice. Even the kids slide by pool had dried black mould. Pool water was not very clear, a sign that it was not properly treated. The duvets/blankets in our room were used by a different guest and had smell and stain on it. My sister had her jeans trouser taken from her room and i had a silver necklace taken too. In the private party we had, my sun glass case that had makeup in it also disappeared. Food was pretty repetitive. The gym was nothing to write home about. It was like something from a scary movie. Spa was also dated and not very inviting. I went to LUX spa to get treatment. What was meant to be a relaxing and a memorable family reunion time with family from different parts of the world, ended up being a horrible experience. Will I be back here again? Unless Management invest money in bringing the hotel up to scratch, it's a No from me. Overall, I will rate the hotel a 4 out of 10.
