Selenium Hotel in Side

This hotel is absolutely awful. When we arrived at 1 am the receptionist had no paperwork for us going over and over the same thing he then proceded to check two other people in meanwhile my daughter found the paperwork. The staff were ignorant all week and never spoke once we felt really unwanted there. The food was awful.we were half board and only ate here twice absolutely no idea what food was what and what was left over in the evening you got for breakfast. There is no restaurant you have to sit round the pool with thr smell of dirty drains. There is no entertainment like it advertises. Completely ruined our holiday staying here.

We already had a negative experience upon arrival, as they wanted to transfer us to another hotel, saying that there were no available rooms. We didn't go into this and still got a room. The wording of free WiFi is a trick, because it was useless. Their beach is below par, crowded, with poor quality beds. During the supply, the remainder was always found, monotonous, with no variety. As for fruit, only melons and apples were available. The sweetness is always the same, a soaked sponge cake and pudding in bulk. What is absolutely infuriating is that on a weekday the bread was from the previous day. Smoking is allowed in the restaurant, so we had to eat with children in the smoke. The cold cuts, which were 1-2 types, were browned at the edges and tasteless. The elevator was not working. Children worked in the eye clinic, they were tired, but they worked. They were driven by the older gentleman, who did not spare the guests with his manners either. I am satisfied with the cleanliness and cleaning of the room. It was impossible not to hear the mosque's morning prayers. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!

We've not checked out yet and I'm already writing this review. We booked this hotel due to its location near Side and the beaches, but I would recommend you give this hotel a miss. For a "wellness" hotel with concierge service, we were not informed about any of the facilities available, apart from a hurried timetable for meal times and the beach shuttle. This was after they couldn't find our booking for ages, despite having it in front of me. We were also woken at 8am on our first day by a phone call from "our rep" from a travel agent we'd never heard of or booked through, and again bothered by a brochure at our door when we didn't attend the meeting.
Food here is average at best, WiFi never connects - even downstairs, overcrowded pool with broken sunbeds, air con remote works on and off, shower does not connect to the wall, and over friendly staff - imagine being asked if you're "staying here alone" before your morning coffee. Judging by other reviews, this is not a safe place for single women!
