Great location
Location 8/10
We booked the Courtyard al Barsha because of the strategic location - about in the middle of Dubai - and I think we choose well, since every major attraction was around 30-45 minutes away. From the hotel it’s a 10 minute walk to the metro station Insurancemarket. It’s about a 13 minute walk to metro/bus station Mall of the Emirates. In February it was fine to walk, but if you go in summer, I recommend walking through the mall to get to the metro/bus since the entrance to the mall is a little over 5 minutes away.
Room 6.5/10
While the hotel smelled nice, our room itself had a bit of an unpleasant smell. This also goes for the towels. I noticed stains on the towels and on the bedding. Other than this, hygiene was decent and the room size was fine.
Breakfast 6.5/10
We opted to get breakfast at the hotel. Do note that there are plenty of food spots around the hotel, both outside and in the mall. Breakfast was just okay. There was a decent selection, but nothing truly amazing.
