We was transferred to this hotel. The room was small. The staff were accommodative to our request - hot water and hair dryer as water kettle is not available in the room.
There is room of improvement on cleanliness. We felt a lil bit itchy throughout our stay, bear in mind if you have concern on the hygiene.
The location is okay - walking distance to the gold souq and there is a ferry terminal nearby.
I booked this hotel through Agoda for 3 nights and arrived with my sister, who has a medical condition. The first issue was parking there is no proper parking at all. I had to drop them at the hotel and then drive almost 1.5 km just to find a place to park the car.
As soon as we entered the hotel, it looked nothing like the photos online. The place was dirty and poorly maintained. During check-in, I clearly informed the staff that I had a patient with me and asked if the room had been properly cleaned. The staff assured me that all rooms were clean, which was absolutely not true.
When we entered the room, it was disgusting. The bedsheets were visibly dirty, the room had a strange smell, the bathroom was not clean at all, and there was barely any water coming from the tap. It was completely unacceptable, especially considering the circumstances.
We had to leave the property immediately because it was impossible to stay there. I requested a refund through Agoda, and they only agreed to refund one day, which is extremely unfair given the condition of the hotel.
There was a concern with bugs but when highlighted they immediately checked on it. Service is good, they attend to things immediately.
