Where to stay in Ukraine

I stayed at this hotel in 2019 (but wanted to leave a review). It's not really relevant, but! Everything was great back then. Parking. Nice rooms, even an elevator in a 3-story building. The breakfasts were amazing, even considering my specific diet! (For example, I had a beet salad, boiled eggs, and oatmeal.) It sounds strange, but sometimes hotels only serve fried, greasy, and other heavy foods...

A beautiful location and lovely lovely staff.

This hotel truly lives up to its 5 stars! Everything was excellent, from the hospitable customer service to the cleanliness of the beautiful suite, and from the incredibly delicious food to the amazing attention to detail in everything.

So comfortable. The staff is very accomodating. I'd give it 5 stars if there weren't a few things missing but overall I'm very satisfied with the service provided.

There is a nice restaurant in the hotel with good food and service. The prices are quite high. Lunch for two costs around 1500 UAH after a 20% discount.

Room are always incredibly clean, the beds are extremely comfortable, the staff are always outgoing and friendly and the hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Lviv.

It was nice clean room. But conditioner doesn't work good. We pay almost 3000 grivna for the room and it was hot. You should check condition of conditioner more often.

This hotel is located around 15 minutes from downtown and shopping centres,has large rooms ,free breakfast,but not the best breakfast,very limited.The food in the restaurant is ok,the location is near tram tracks ,very noisy .

Very nice place to stay. Rooms are clean and it's quite at night. Very good design everywhere, it's visible that place is new. The location is ok, it's far from city centre but if you are interested to stay closer to university district it's a good place. The hotel is dog friendly! I enjoyed my stay here . Reasonable price for room's fare and huge supermarket nearby to collect some stuff you need.15 minutes by car to the center if the traffic not busy.

I went here a few years ago, hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to everything. I wish I took pics of hotel, its architecture and designs is very unique.

There is a big difference, in many ways, between the rooms with two small beds and the ones with one larger bed. Pay the extra $5, it's completely worth it. Classy hotel keeping up standards during difficult times in Ukraine. Extremely safe and quiet, with a killer view and 5 min. walk to the Metro. The lady who works the desk in daytime most weekdays was particularly helpful.

I’ve been staying at this hotel for 2 years now and cannot fault it at all. The staff at the front desk have always been welcoming and very helpful. Securing a room has never been an issue and the staff always work with a very high level of professionalism. I cannot recommend City Hotel highly enough and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Kyiv. I always look forward to getting back to Kyiv to catch up...

Superb location. Very good service. I recommend using spa and getting a massage. In case your hungry the roof top restaurant "Matisse" has an excellent menu and quality&taste are very good. If the bar in the lobby should be closed I recommend to try "the fog". A Shisha Bar with good food, drinks, cocktails and wonderful teas. I enjoyed my stay very much! Thank you!!!

I had an excellent stay at the hotel. The breakfast in the mornings were lovely and the staff was really friendly, helpful, and very professional. I will definitely stop by next time I will be in Kyiv.

The hotel itself was nice, but I've left a couple items of clothing and two days later inquired about them. I was advised that housekeeping haven't seen them. Beware.

The hotel is not working but the restaurant does. There is a terrasse on the upper floor. I had scrumbled eggs and a white chocolate cake. Those were delicious

Great location, nice rooms, comfortable bad. Minuses: towels are yellow instead of white, dirty cups. Hotel took a cost of chocolate from a mini bar, which not even was there when I checked in.

The overall experience is great, especially when it comes to the de luxe apartment. But please, for the God's sake, fix the air conditioner, it starts working for a sec and is then silent for a lifetime.

Visiting Zirka hotel was not my choice it was a roundworm selection from hotel list but after visiting there now finally I know that after this I will be their permeant guest. they easy understand the need of their customers. I have been served the best breakfast that I had never before. every month I have trips to Odessa Zirak will be favored place.

This place is highly underrated for it good prices. Includes free breakfast a stairwell to smoke in. A bar with snack and basic menu. Good Wi-Fi and surprisingly comfortable beds that are big.

Good and cheap hotel with small rooms not far from the City Centre. Breakfast is "originally" ukrainian with boiled eggs and some kind of old tough cheese but satisfies ;) I enjoyed it to be here!

What can I say... Maybe the price is not high for the city, but it would be possible for this money to try to remove all hair from the bed and to freshen the air, after the previous customer. Because in my room a mist from someone's feces... No exaggeration. The staff is really polite and the location is good. At night you can Wake up the conversations in the hallway next to your door or moans behind...

The location is great for tourists on a budget as the prices here are small. But the service accordingly. You can rent a room for about three hours, perfect for students who have no money for an apartment. In the room I have this furniture as a bed, two bedside tables, TV, hanger. Small shower and toilet. There is hot water.

Also booked room through Hotels.com. Told them I paid for it online and had reservation, receipt, confirmation, etc. They claimed the reservation wasn’t there then charged more money for the same room to book. Lady at desk was unpleasant. The next day they magically found my reservation and payment. They paid the money back but the price on the room was different. This is a bait and switch scam.

+ Good location, helpful staff, large and very comfortable beds, large bathroom. The room is very clean. The interior and decoration are new. The hotel is close to the train station (5-3 minutes to drive). The price is really good for that conditions, which are present in the Hotel. Value for money! Really I will recommend to stay there. - The bath cabine... it is small and a standard size cabine.

Opera is a good option if you need a unfussy, friendly hotel CV in a nice leafy, quiet and cool neighbourhood of Kyiv. The staff are great and super helpful. Thought the spa was excellent too. I stayed for more than 10 days. The hotel room was nice. Also the sheets and towels were clean. We also had no problems with hot water and electricity outages.

GREAT LOCATION with painfully pretentious staff. Pro tip for all you service workers (I was one for years)…You are not fancy because your clientele are. I’ve stayed here twice and despite my wife being from Kyiv and speaking flawless Ukrainian and Russian, the desk always acts like we’re a burden. Even the two doormen are snobs.

I spent 8 days in August 2021 in this hotel, the welcome is warm very good service the activities in the sport are well maintained and equipped except if there are 2 devices mounted upside down and for the pool and sauna is a magnificent place except for those who will find it a little dark but very discreet. The hotel is located in an excellent location, close to the train station and all public transport. The staff is friendly and the service is very high quality. But old furniture, very bad Internet, lack of broadcasting of a sufficient number of channels with an old TV spoil all positive emotions.

It was quite and secure hotel to stay, but they should do their cleaning service better. Accomodation price was reasonable. Breakfast service was nice, but they should improve the quality and increase type of the food.
