In the room near the cafeteria area, it was clear the surfaces had not been properly wiped down. There were ring marks left behind and the surface felt sticky, suggesting it had not been cleaned thoroughly.
The shower also had a strong, musty smell of mould, and there was visible mould present in the shower area, which was quite unpleasant.
In hindsight, we probably should have raised this during our stay. However, as we had been given a complimentary upgrade, we did not want to seem ungrateful or rude at the time.
The room is nice and I really liked that the pool and other amenities are included in the room booking - would recommend for its location and the service.
