The hotel's location is great, near Buckingham Palace and not far from Victoria. It's a bit small but very charming, and the staff are incredibly friendly. It has a stylish vibe.
However, some of the facilities are a bit old. The shower definitely needs an upgrade – after a shower, the bathroom floor is flooded, and the water temperature is inconsistent, constantly fluctuating between hot and cold. The overall shower experience was really poor. Everything else was pretty good though.

I prepaid for two nights through Trip. At checkout an unauthorised payment of £498.92 was taken. I challenged this and was assured a refund was coming but it would take two working days. In the early hours of the following day a further two unauthorised payments of £498.02 were taken. In total, just under £1500 was taken from my account without my permission. I contacted Rubens Hotel. They accepted that they had made a mistake and advised that the whole amount would be refunded in two days. My bank account was now empty on the morning I was flying from Gatwick airport for a holiday. I was relying on the funds in my account to pay for various items.
Rubens refused any compensation whatsoever and seem to think that taking £1500 from a customers account without permission is OK. There are various terms for their behaviour. It is not OK. Is it even legal?
I would advise future customers of this hotel to be very wary.

Impeccable service. Staff goes above and beyond to make sure our stay is the best it can be. Location is amazing. Close to everything.

Absolutely everything. But the staff was just amazing. Helpful, all smiles, cheerful, welcoming!!!! And the staff thy cleaned our room. One lady said she was Russian and not much English but she smiled and the room was always done up well.

The room wasn't large, but it was very luxurious and cleaned daily. Although there was a charge, it was worth it. It's right next to Buckingham Palace. The welcome snacks were especially delicious, and the staff were incredibly welcoming, greeting us every day. We ended up giving them coins as a tip. There are breakfast shops on both sides of the exit, each with a different style. Rose, the lady across the street, was a bit aloof; she only accepted cards, not cash, and we had to wait to be seated. The alley to the left has many chain restaurants, some accepting cash, some cards. We tried them all during our stay and none were bad. Some of the forks at the breakfast shops to the right were broken, so be careful. Two days in a row, guests got cuts on their lips, but the food was still pretty good. We ordered the full English breakfast.

In the heart of London, where every inch of land is valuable, the room was clean but the facilities were old. The elevator was very small, the soundproofing was average, and there was no electric heater in the room. The service was quite challenging for the traveler's English proficiency. The communication was not very considerate of foreigners. If your IELTS score was less than 6, you wouldn't even be able to order breakfast.

Amazing experience!! The staff couldn’t do anymore! They were so helpful and friendly! It was my friends birthday while we were stopping! We arrived to a happy birthday message on the mirror and a little happy birthday chocolate cake and biscuits in our room! It’s the little touches that make all the difference!!! The room was so clean and comfortable!! Definitely had the 5 star experience!! I’m not sure what the lovely doorman’s name is! But he was so nice taking photos for us!! Couldn’t recommend this hotel anymore! Thank you for making our weekend so incredible! ☺️

Hotel is nice enough but not worth £350/400pn! - great location for Buckingham Palace. King room, still very small. No fridge in the room. Outdated TV. Staff are very welcoming. But I wouldn’t stay here again or 41 next door that I’ve also stayed at.

The waiter was incredibly rude. Do not believe the opening times, wanted to go there for a late lunch. It wasn't open. We managed to get there for dinner only to be disappointed by the off putting behaviour of the waiter!!!!! Spend your money somewhere else, London has a wide variety of quality Indian restaurants.

Very good Indian food in the area. Place a bit small but they have basement for big groups. Worth giving a try. Please take note of their hours of operation which is limited to lunch and dinner. Staff very helpful

Very rude staff. Had literally sat down to have some lovely dinner after a long journey. I had a bottle of coke with me and was just about to take a sip as I was quite thirsty before starting to look into the menu. The staff in a very rude voice just “told me off” for consuming drink purchased from outside. I was just gobsmacked with his attitude and rudeness. So me and my friend just got up and left within 2 minutes. So never again and avoid if/where possible. We found another Indian restaurant just down the road walking towards Pimlico and had an amazing meal.

Place seemed very cosy and nice. However, the service ruined it, waited 35 mins in good hope of someone coming to serve us, 3 tables were served before us, even though we came before them, it took for me to approach someone to ask to be served! Then the waiter seemed disinterested and annoyed, a colleague had to come to help out. Just reduced to 2 stars. Probably the worst service ever in a restaurant. Food was average, my main was bland, linguine pesto, had to add salt and pepper (which I very rarely do). Sorry to say but I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to any of my friends.

Went here for cocktails. Impressed at how quickly these were made given a lot of places can be slow making them. Menu was good with all the classics. Bar got a bit chilly in the evening when it emptied out and staff weren't overly friendly.

Mango tree has been a regular option for special events such as birthdays and anniversaries for me and the family. We visit possibly 4 times a year and have never once left feeling dissatisfied.
On our last visit, ordered a steak, expecting it to be leaner than it was. Likely this was my mistake for realising wagyu is not lean.
The staff were very friendly and apologetic, even though it was my fault, refunded the dish and suggested the alternative Thai green curry with chicken which had the most succulent chicken I've had.
They made no fuss about this and this, among the amazing dishes is one of the reasons we continue to visit.

Wow! Great food, service and ambience. Not overpriced. Went with former colleagues one Monday lunchtime. Even at this time of the day/week, there was a decent atmosphere. Will definitely eat here again.

Didn't like the fact there was a massive birthday party right behind us and they were loud as anything!
Also the route to the toilet there alot of clutter everywhere, I didn't expect a very up market place to leave storage and just excess stuff lying around on the side

Good food and nice, warm and cosy interior. The chocolate sphere dessert they serve is just bomb. The main wasn't as great as I would expect. Even though they score high with their caring and good mannered staff which will be with you always when you need it but still staying not pushy at all. Good place for a date ;)

The food is decent, not overpriced. Big restaurant so it can take a while if it's full. For me the food in Rosa's is better.
