Came to Megaro for the first time and arrived around 12pm to try my luck with an early check-in. I was told to come back later as the room wasn’t quite ready. After going out for lunch, I returned around 2pm, but the room was still not available due to an issue with the corner studio room I had booked. The receptionist asked whether I specifically wanted the corner studio, and since that was what I had booked, I said yes. He then kindly offered to upgrade us to a suite instead, as one was already ready, rather than having us wait another 30 minutes to an hour. This was extremely nice of him.

Despite having paid for the room in full online, I was required to put down a £100 deposit at check-in.

The suite was a pleasant surprise for both my partner and me. It was fairly spacious and included a wardrobe, a makeup desk, a TV area with a sofa and two chairs, and an extra-large double bed. The bathroom layout felt a bit strange, as there wasn’t much counter space. The shower design was also confusing—regardless of which shower head we used, a significant amount of water splashed out, leaving the bathroom quite drenched on multiple occasions. While I could appreciate the overall design of the room, it felt a little odd, and I think the curtains contributed to that feeling.

The AC unit was quite disappointing. Even on the coolest setting (18°C) with the fan on maximum, there was barely any airflow and the room didn’t feel cooler. We tried various settings and even contacted the front desk, but were told that this was the highest setting possible. Since we were only staying for three nights and were out most of the time, we didn’t pursue it further after that initial call.

We did make use of the minibar, and the snacks and drinks were fantastic—perfect for a late-night movie session. We did some basic cleaning of the utensils before using them, as most travellers would, but they appeared to be quite clean.

The location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic and is arguably its biggest selling point. It’s extremely convenient for accessing train stations and the underground, which we made great use of throughout our stay.

Overall, the staff were excellent. While the rooms had some odd design choices and the AC was poor, they were still relatively comfortable. We were given a complimentary glass of prosecco, which was a nice touch. The partner restaurant, Spagnoletti, was good but felt a bit overpriced for what it offered. The WiFi was fast, which was a plus.

Considering the location, the price was very reasonable. The hotel felt more like a mid-range 4-star property. Points were taken off for the room, bathroom design, and restaurant, but the location and staff made the stay worthwhile.

Despite the disappointments, I would still recommend this hotel due to its excellent location, while the rooms remain acceptably comfortable overall.

We had an overnight stay here before our trip to Bruges and had an excellent experience from start to finish. On arrival we were given a complimentary upgrade on the room which was lovely and they organised take out breakfast for us as we had to catch an early train. A comfy bed, great bathtub and shower and bathrobes and all located across
the road from St Pancras. We would 100% tell anyone to stay here. Thank you to the Megaro team - you were fab!

Absolutely wonderful stay. The hotel is beautifully designed, impeccably clean, and perfectly located for getting around London. The rooms are stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, making it easy to relax after a long day of travel.

What truly stood out was the staff—professional, kind, and genuinely helpful. Every interaction felt welcoming, and they went out of their way to make my stay smooth and enjoyable. The overall atmosphere is modern yet warm, with great attention to detail throughout the property.

I would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London ❤️

This hotel was beautifully decorated with a very well done and chic aesthetic. The gentleman who checked us in was very welcoming and helpful. We had plans to walk down the road for a bite, and he recommended their Italian restaurant on site and their cocktail bar downstairs.

The restaurant was also very well decorated and we ordered sharers. Everything was great and they were the best potato croquettes we’ve ever had- says a lot being in the UK. The service was also excellent. The downstairs hotel bar was also beautifully decorated with excellent cocktails.

Finally, it is across the street from Kings Cross so it is an excellent place to base for enjoying the city. We visit London often and this will now be a regular choice.

this is the most incredible funky cool hotel, I think I have ever stayed in! I have stayed here twice now, and just absolutely love the unique boutique feel of this entire hotel from reception to the bathrooms, and of course the incredible suite I had the pleasure of staying in on both my visits

Hotel staff particularly helpful and kind. This is my second time visiting Megaro and will be returning again. I really like the room we where in which had a beautiful view of St Pancras Station. I Feel a bottle of wine or complimentary food would be much appreciated!

Amazing hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Room was spectacular. We stayed for two nights, it was a little noisy at times but you are at the heart of Kings Cross. Would recommend.

Quirky boutique hotel at a terrific location. The proximity to King's Cross means great transit options (subway, train) but also a certain level of noise. If you like it quiet, this ain't the place for you.

Rooms, especially the bigger ones, are likely among the best available at this price range which is around middle to upper limit but competitive to the surrounding hotels (it's London after all). Comfy bed, great shower and we had an awesome view of the busy King's Cross station.

Very hearty breakfast, slightly overpriced and a tad too hefty even for English standards. The attached restaurant served fairly authentic Italian cuisine, we thoroughly enjoyed our quick snack there.

Staff is very friendly and tries to make your stay as pleasant as it can get. Two minor gripes: their elevator was either broke or occupied with service personnel, we had to take the stairs a couple of times or wait for ages which was a bit of a nuisance. And they, for some bizarre reason, don't have an outlet in the shower for the blowdrier.

All in all, highly recommended.

We were stay in from 27th JAN to 29th JAN. When we check in,the reception told us it's free to have some drinks from the mini bar next to the counter. We are aware of that minibar usually charge, so we double checked to ask if it was REALLY FREE to take ANY drinks. The girl at counter just smiled and said "yea!of course!". Then we took 5 bottles of soft drinks and a bottle of white wine during our staying. At the day we checked out, the other guy at reception told us it costs us 51 pounds for the drinks we grabbed. And it's ridiculous for us to heard because we thought those are free drinks. The thing is we actually missed our train arguing about the fee.We couldn't get a refund because we bought advanced tickets.
Had sent this to your website but got no reply and it's been a month. Just hoping to get some explanation or apologies. Won't come back again and really disappointed.

The upstairs bar is a shocker. Serving flat supermarket tonic and charging premium prices. Downstairs is better.

Excellent place to grab beers, right next to Kings Cross station. Best part about this bar is the friendliness of the bartenders and staff. One member in particular was amazing - she was very courteous and helpful. Good variety of beers and the place itself is very clean.

❤️ Lively corner pub on York Way just around the corner from Kings Cross station. There are bars on two floors and a easy accessible roof terrace illuminated by fairy lights. I popped in on a Friday evening and the atmosphere was upbeat and there was a good buzz about the place. The pub puts on DJ and Jazz nights and there was a fantastic Jazz quartet on that night and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There’s something for everyone at The Fellow

Arived at the Travelodge and looked for somewhere to eat. Pasta House was just outside. We had pizza, risotto and garlic bread. All superb and reasonable priced. The staff were great, it was family friendly. Perfect. Highly recommend it.
