Reviews
I paid over £162 for a night for this awful hotel.
Mostly occupied by arabs from the gulf, who dont care what they get and pay for.
I booked a deluxe king room and the size of the room is about the size of my bathroom. The only thing you get in the room is 2 cans of water and nothing more. The shower gel in the bathroom was finished, I dont understand how the housekeeping missed this before I checked in. Private carpark is controlled by JustPark and I paid about £40 for about just over 6 hours. Then you also have to pay £12.50 for a ULEZ charge, because my vehicle didnt meet the criteria.
I had to leave early in my stay due to a home emergency.
I was told I was given a room upgrade to the 22nd floor, which was a joke. The noise in the hotel and rooms would have you wished you stayed at home.
This is what people mean when they say broken Britain. For a developed country such as Britain, the standard of hotels these days is awful. The hospitality sector needs improving. Businesses are trying to save money and giving customers a awful service and experience.
I would have given 0 stars if I could have!
It costs £3 to rent an umbrella for a day, £10 for a power adapter, and £35 for a one-hour late checkout.
Facilities: They're quite new. The shower pressure is stable, but the sink is not. The hairdryer works pretty well. The duvet was uncomfortable and made it hard to sleep.
Cleanliness: It's up to Hilton's standard; there was no dust, but there were hairs on the sheets.
Environment: The lobby is extremely noisy. Even staying on the 20+ floor, I heard motorcycles, ambulances, and police sirens all night long. The soundproofing is terrible.
Service: The front desk staff were very warm towards Europeans and Middle Easterners, but they had a stern expression when dealing with an Asian family in front of me in line. When I tried to greet them before speaking, they completely ignored me. It feels like there's a suspicion of discrimination against Asians.
The lobby decor was of a good 4-star standard, but the rooms felt more like a 3-star, and the shower cubicle was particularly cramped. During my 6-day stay, I didn't encounter any Chinese-speaking staff, but a very kind curly-haired lady at the front desk assigned me a room with a fantastic view, offering magnificent panoramas of the London skyline. The daily breakfast was extensive and offered a wide variety of choices.
Overall, it's a safe, convenient, and recommendable hotel.
