I recently stayed at the London Chigwell Prince Regent Hotel and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel has a charming, elegant feel, and the grounds are beautifully maintained, giving it a peaceful atmosphere while still being conveniently located for travel into London.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making check-in quick and stress-free. They were always happy to help with any requests, which really made the stay feel personal and comfortable.
My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The bed provided a great night’s sleep, and everything was well presented and tidy. The hotel facilities were well maintained, and the overall environment felt relaxing and well organised.
Breakfast was another highlight — plenty of choice, fresh food, and attentive service. It was a great way to start the day.
Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money with high standards of service, comfort, and hospitality. I would definitely recommend it and would happily stay again in the future.

I found the hotel very accessible from the station.
The bedroom was very comfortable and supplied everything that i needed.
There was also a good quality breakfast buffet available next morning.
I would also like to single out Jack, who is the manager for special praise as he was an enormous help to myself and my friend, who were wrongly booked by my company into a room with a double bed instead of twins.
He was able to cheerfully and efficiently solve our problem and made us feel good by the manner in which he did so.
The bedroom was very comfortable and supplied everything that i needed.
There was also a good quality breakfast buffet available next morning.

We had a truly wonderful stay and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the atmosphere was welcoming, comfortable, and relaxed.
Our room was perfect and the hotel was absolutely beautiful.
A special mention has to go to Ipek C, who made such a positive difference to our stay. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine enthusiasm really stood out. She was always smiling, incredibly helpful, and very informative. Her kindness and positivity is rare and made our stay feel special.
It’s clear that the staff here care about their guests, and Ipek C is a real credit to the hotel. I would absolutely recommend staying here and would be delighted to return in the future.

Room: pleasant room, spacious and clean. They had set up an extra sofa bed for our toddler upon request which was perfect. It was quite cold in the room but thankfully there were two portable oil radiators which heat up quickly.
Service: was disappointing! We didn’t have any milk in our room and when we asked it took over an hour to receive 4 little sachets. I’ve been to many hotels but never asked by staff to walk back and forth from reception to restaurant for a bit of milk. This was a very basic request but the gentleman in the restaurant did not want to provide any milk for some reason and asked my husband to sit down and wait while he tended to everyone else in the hotel.
Breakfast was truly terrible, nothing was appealing, seemed reheated and very dehydrated. I managed to eat a slice of toast and passed on everything else. The cutlery and cups were dirty and I opted to drink out of a takeaway cup to be safe.
Location: perfect for us as we had a wedding to attend at Woolston Manor which is 8 minutes drive.
In conclusion the room was nice and quiet but this hotel certainly is NOT luxury and far from 4 star! Major improvements needed in the restaurant and staff etiquette. Paying for the parking was also not welcome.

Went here for an event yesterday. We had a buffet style dinner and the plates were FILTHY. It’s like they had been kept on the floor or in a dirty cupboard and had gathered fluff, rocks and all sorts of disgusting dirt on them. Lip stains were found on some glasses and the others were just not very clean. The cutlery was no better.
The serving staff were good, but the hotel management needs to do a better job at ensuring the utensils are clean. I dread to think about the cleanliness of the tools used to cook in the kitchen. If they were brazen enough to give guests dirty plates then only God knows what’s happening behind the scenes. Myself and other guests felt sick and disrespected.
I’d never book this place for an event, or attend another event here.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Booking directly was very simple and straightforward. Oana M. and Roxanne B. were particularly helpful during the booking process and made everything easy.
The on-site staff provided excellent customer service, even though it was a very busy weekend. The rooms were a good size, clean, and well equipped.
Booking direct includes free on-site parking, which is a great bonus, although there is also parking available on the road. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options and even catered well for vegans.
Overall, we were really impressed and would happily stay again.

Room was decent. Clean. No air-con.

Appears to be a popular venue for events. However, I had no issue with noise.
I didn't have breakfast so cannot comment on food.
Definitely looks a lot prettier in the pictures than in reality.
However, for value for money I would stay again.
