Found this hotel a couple years back when an event I attended was scheduled there, and have stayed there a handful of times since then. You really can't beat the room price, nothing fancy but clean and quiet with a pleasant atmosphere. Nice for a staycation.The only negative is that they started charging $24 per night for parking, which seems like lot.

Great rooms bed was comfy room service kept the room nice when we are away. The pool was amazing family enjoyed the hot tub

I tried canceling my room because my daughter's plan changed. She was going into bootcamp and having a hard time. I understand their cancellation policy I just thought they would take into consideration the reason as to why I had to cancel. If not a full refund maybe a partial.

The tv reception was fuzzy at best. The pool bartenders were excellent!

The hotel initially gave us a room on the first floor that was too noisy. We booked a 3-person room with an extra single bed, but the next day they gave us a quiet room with 2 large beds on the 3rd floor.

Bed and room were great. did not use the pool. I did not like the covered large pillow on the bed as it looked unsanitary. Pillows with removeable covers would have been better.

During my trip to San Diego, I booked a hotel in San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter (established in 1913) on Ctrip. The old elevator is quite unique. The rooms aren't big, but the cleanliness and amenities are okay, and it's not noisy. We stayed on the 11th floor, the highest floor, and the rooftop terrace offers a great view of the city!

The transportation in the downtown area is quite convenient. The train is a few minutes' walk away. The hotel's old-fashioned elevator is antique-grade. The refrigerator is full and there is no room for anything.

Loved the 24/7 amenities of hot water and regular water, and staff were always available, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of options. A great stay!

Well, everything was fine, clean, spacious, and the breakfast wasn't bad. And the hotel has everything you need.

It is really near the Downtown Portland Nordstrom . It is a great hotel. If you are a business traveler to shop at the Anniversary Sale. You don't have to travel to Seattle. But the Portland Downtown Nordstrom store is a 5. But the Fashion Valley is a 11-11. This is on a ten point scale. 1 is the worst. A perfect 10 is good for the next three years only . TFT.

Very nice clean hotel on Hotel Circle so close to everything. The only issue was they don't tell you until you get there that there's a $25 per night per car parking charge. And if you tell then you're an IHG member they will drop to $10. But only if you ask. Other than that, the beds were comfortable and make sure you ask for housekeeping as it isn't guaranteed unless you do.

It's very close to the airport, and it's only about a ten-minute drive to the old town and downtown, so it's quite convenient.

Was okay. Take an old hotel and do some remodeling. Then try to label it as cool. Not really a success here. Still feels old. Rooms a little dirty / dusty. Never got cool. The thermostat just for show. Did not know the hallways are open to the outside. Like an apartment. Elevators are SLOW. Unless you are on an upper floor, the views are obstructed.

The service was very good. I felt that the bath towels were not particularly clean, but everything else was good. Breakfast was ordered on the top floor. The view was great and it was delicious. The balcony was very nice to see the sea view, although it was very windy hahahaha

The location of the hotel is great! Our family of four was scheduled to go to the Petco Park to see a baseball game. The hotel is absolutely in a walking distance from the ball park. We could enjoy the game very much as we didn't worry about taking long time to come back to the hotel room. The hotel is a historic landmark in the area. By staying here, you could feel the history of the Gaslamp Quarter...

I stayed in The Horton Grand for six nights from 8/16 till 8/22 in 2024. Unbelievably, my room (#321) did not have a refrigerator, although two staff members at the front desk (reception) claimed that every room had one. I remember several years ago before the pandemic my room did have a microwave oven and a refrigerator when I stayed in the same hotel.

The workers were very friendly and the hotel had a very rustic feel to it. The old styled elevators, the room layout... But be warned: the elevators are a hassle to open the door and gate so you can't have your hands occupied to function them. The room I was in happened to be pretty small with no microwave and no mini fridge but other rooms may vary. The rooftop is accessible and a great hangout spot...

Perfect location to all things downtown. Super close to the airport. It's a old, like 100 odd years old hotel but maintained decently. Good for short stays and proximity to city center. 24 hour restaurant is a great add on.

Very charming boutique hotel. The rooms are on the small side, but I don't spend much time in my hotel awake when I'm traveling. There is a great 24-hour American style restaurant attached. They offer 24-hour room service and valet parking for a fee. And you have to ride the elevator. It's original to the building, dating from the 1910's, and still works!

Coffee machine was broken. Room cleaning was only on request. No restaurant so no breakfast included. Products for cleaning swimming pool were way too strong because it made foam when swimming and the eyes got red after only 10 minutes inside. Heater of the room worked well but was way too noisy when turning off and on automatically to adjust temperature therefore I had to turn it off and therefore...

Overall, the hotel is good, but not bad. It's close to Little Italy and about a 15-minute walk from the beach. Parking is $30 per night. Breakfast is optional and costs extra at the restaurant next door.

Unfortunately the rooms are thin, so you can hear your neighbors and any noise in the hallway very clearly, along with whatever is happening outside. BEAUTIFUL ROOM! We stayed in the executive suite marina view and it was GORGEOUS! Pool is a little smaller than we're used to but we also pretty much had it to ourselves so the kids didnt mind! The restaurant also has really great chicken alfredo. We'll be back!

Personally, I feel that it is not worth the price. It is too late to check in at 4 pm. The hotel is very small, the swimming pool and hot spring are very small, and the room is relatively large, otherwise I can't find any advantages 😄

Totally give this place 10 stars if I could staff was amazing rooms were beautiful. Our view was gorgeous. Will return again 1000% conveniently located. We were able to walk to bars and restaurants. The pool there at the was nicely warmed. And the beach was a stones throw away.

A very nice hotel, very close to UCSD, suitable for couples to book a room, but the lights are too dim, and parking is also charged and a deposit is required by credit card. You must have a car to stay here. The room is very quiet but the environment is not very good, the facilities are relatively old, even worse than a new three-star hotel.

I used this hotel when I went to DistribuTECH 2026 on a business trip. Since this hotel was cheap and not far from the convention center, it was very helpful. Even though the walls were thin, it was not noisy since there were noise rules.

The room was not cleaned diligently, not even by the basic hotel standards. [Pros] It's close to many of San Diego's major tourist attractions. It's also close to train stations (trolley and Amtrak) and bus stops, so transportation is easy. A supermarket (Ralphs) is also within a 5-minute walk, and since it's cheaper than other options, I recommend buying water and other items there. The hotel lobby wasn't that great, but the rooms were quite stylish and better than expected...

Stayed at the Bristol while in San Diego for a concert at The Music Box. Staff was attentative and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. Also, there are plenty of eateries and shopping within walking distance. Safe and what one might say historic, I definitely recommend a stay if in the area.

I forgot to take my dop kit with all of my toiletries including my electric shaver. I called to have them save it for me and was told they didn't have it. I guess housekeeping needed it more than I did so they decided to keep it. Very sleazy.
