There were no toiletries, room was normal
It's in a club district so it may be a little unsafe at night. The breakfast was delicious, the room was clean and it was a great stay ^ ^
BED WAS A 6/10, NOT THE WORST, NOT THE BEST. WEIRD LARE PHOTO O F A RANDOM WOMAN ON THE WALL, LIKE CREEPY LARGE. PARKING LIMITED, OVERALL, THE PROPERTY IS WHAT YOU PAY FOR, TOLIETS DID NOT FLUSH WELL. AC UNIT WORKED FINE SO DID TH TV. FRONT DESK STAFF WAS AWESOME. AGAIN, GET HAT YOU PAY FOR, A ROOM FOR THE NIGHT.
We saw two roaches. Door key hardly ever worked. Somebody had kicked in the door before and it was just patched po orly.
Not a Boutique Hotel. Pet friendly. Should not be charging a resort fee. Thin, thin, thin walls and loud guests. Friendly front staff. No daily housekeeping, coffee machine or hair dryer. No bugs but interior falling apart - sheets and towels were clean though. Disappointed by how much I paid.
The first night of our stay a bum or a rockhead came to the door at 2:30am, no trash cans in the room, towels were small. Both hotel clerks were friendly .

Room was neat and clean. But there was no housekeeping service for the 4 nights we were there although it was stated as alternate day service. Laundry room was a plus.
A very nice hotel, very close to UCSD, suitable for couples to book a room, but the lights are too dim, and parking is also charged and a deposit is required by credit card. You must have a car to stay here. The room is very quiet but the environment is not very good, the facilities are relatively old, even worse than a new three-star hotel.
great services. very nice lobby. the little cafe next to the hotel is great.
The location is very quiet, easy to drive, and parking is paid! Business, coffee shops, and breakfast are all within walking distance!
Nice establishment at good location close to UC and Sorrento Valley. Share breakfast hall with the Hilton next door with decent selection. Good overall and will stay again
The room has a microwave, hot milk, etc. It is convenient. The room is relatively large. The equipment is noisy and it is difficult to sleep well.

Great location!! Very central to everything. Very close to beachfront. Definitely try Konos for beachfront breakfast..its a 5 minute If you want close to the beach.. clean..free parking..this is a hidden gem ;)
The inn was quaint and in the perfect location, just across the parking lot is the beach. And walking distance lots of restaurants. However the bathroom needs a couple of fixes - replace toilet seat & clean the rusty pipe smell coming up from shower & sink drains. It didn't really impact my stay but I can see it being a problem for someone else more particulate than me. The inn is nothing fancy but...
This place is a hidden gem, however the bathroom floor was filthy and overflowed into the bedroom
Little gem of a hotel nicely located in Pacific Beach. The room was clean ans nicely furnished. Will definitely visit again.
Such a great location and staff! Easy parking and easy beach access! Couldn’t ask for a better deal.
Access to the beach is amazing! literally less than a half a block away, just around the corner from the inn. Very accessible, views outside of the inn are great. Which is why I chose this place. So that didn’t disappoint. There are allot of restaurants walking distance which was convenient along with having Ray’s beach rentals close by to rent beach equipment. The room is small very basic. This is actually a motel, not a hotel. Don't be fooled by the name. The rooms are poorly soundproofed; you can easily walk into them from outside. The parking lot has no security and charges a fee, even if you ask. They say there's CCTV. The good thing is that this area is a resort area, so it's relatively safe, and the hotel is quite clean.
Staff was delightful, eager to help with anything we might need. Rooms were recently renovated, spacious and very cute. Just a block or so off the beach.
A hidden gem. The value for a hotel in the area is unbeatable. The rooms were recently updated as is the rest of the hotel. A block from the beach, can’t be beat! We would definitely stay again if we come back to La Jolla.
Fairly recent refurb to what looks like an old skool motel from the outside - good sized rooms a short walk from the beach
Great location near the La Jolla cove. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Nice clean hotel. I would stay there again when I am visiting.
Staff very nice. Room clean but from the photo expected more than a run of the mill motel. And $15 fee for parking??? In front of the room???although bathroom cleaned after our first night bed was left unmade

The stay was quite and cleaness and well lit. I would stay again.
Staff was nice and very direct and clear about everything. It was a quick easy check in and check out. Everything was neat and set up when we walked in. Honestly a great place to stay.
Good overall; coffee machine, microwave, ironing board, etc. no soap and minimal towels and wash clothes.
It's quite close to the oceanarium and zoo. It's the cheapest motel I could find on weekends. There's no breakfast, and the mattress in the room is a bit old. Parking is also sufficient.
The room is spacious, clean and comfortable, with a great location. It is the best choice for family travel and I am very satisfied.

It was an average place needs upgrades but the price and location at the beach are wonderful
Bed and the pillows were not as great and comfortable kind of noisy outside. Shower door did not lock so the whole bathroom was filled with water.
Easy check in. The price was good. Clean room. Ice machine and vending machine worked. Common outdoor seating area was pretty. And the location was amazing! I will definitely be back.
Awesome location right around the corner from the beach and shopping and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and check-in was super easy. The only thing I will say, they do not have a pool on their property. You have to walk a few blocks down to another hotel to use the pool. Also, they only give you two very thin blankets on the bed. Very good for the price I will say!
It was an OK place to sleep but the beds are hard and the fit and finish of the place Is lacking. It's an older hotel that's been remodeled on a low budget. But the location made up for it. We will stay there again!
We had the corner room on the second floor which was large and bright. The bathroom is large enough to change clothes in. The location is perfect. We could walk to a bench to watch the sunset in less than 2 minutes. I took a walk down Mission Blvd to Belmont Park which is about 2.2 miles away. The walk was delightful. We may have not gotten the recently remodeled room but nothing beats the sound of the ocean lullabying you to sleep and the 2 bedroom suite and pull out couch allowed each of my kids to have their own space. They even put a happy birthday banner over our room to make this trip even more extra special.
We had such a wonderful experience, we stayed in the 2 bed suite. My kids loved this property and asked when we could return. The check in process was so easy and the attendant was so kind and attentive. It was my daughter’s bday and they put up a special birthday banner.
This whole hotel and experience was lovely. Everything was clean and everyone was wonderful. I highly recommend.
Excellent location right on the cliff overlooking the ocean. Magnificent views from the open seating area just outside the rooms. The rooms are extra ordinarily clean. Will consider coming back again.
I stayed here a few times and got the same room same plumbing problems as before. When you take a shower it's either hot or cold no in between, it doesn't drain well so you're standing in a foot of water while you're taking a shower. Beds are very uncomfortable but the view is absolutely phenomenal. It's worth it. I'll come back again. It's got a really good vibe
Great stay at Sunset Cliffs Inn. Very clean, easy walkability to restaurants, coffee shops and ocean hikes. Will stay again.

It was better than we expected the best was the attention in the front desk and the cleaning of the hotel
The hotel workers are very friendly and helpful. They are very willing to help us with any questions or concerns we had. We have a very relaxed and joyful time here. Th valerparking service is very nice and friendly. They always got our car ready on time
We had a lovely stay here. Trinity and Mackenzie were amazing and so friendly!
Nice place, not a good housekeeping policy. People are not happy with it and the staff have to hear the complaints all time.

Friendly and helpful staff! Great location!! Everything is waking distance and it's a great area.
Room was good, front desk staff was extremely helpful! The Nolen rooftop bar was especially great, the bartenders were on top of their game and the sunset happy hour is an excellent deal.
Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Every hotel near the Padre stadium charges a parking fee this hotel was the cheapest valet parking and nice hotel around. The walk to the stadium was very close.
Room was spottless but the customer service was extraordinarily. Especially from the worker that was working overnight on the morning on 11/2/25. Trully a tremendous job from her.
We were going to Petco. Quick walk to the park. Parking offered at hotel is expensive but worth it to not have to carrying everything to the hotel while walking through busy streets. We had a problem with AC in our room. Luckily it worked enough not to be uncomfortable but they covered some of our parking fees as a courtesy. Staff were super nice and friendly. Great staff and the room was clean. The only drawback is that it is an older structure with thin walls and the TV did not work for cable along with pairing to external devices was hit or miss.
clean and updated room. A bit noisy between rooms and had to pay for assigned parking spot and mine was taken by someone eelse when I got back to the hotel that night. they could not move the other car, luckily there was another spot but did not even offer me a refund for parking.
It worked for a nice place to sleep during my daughter’s soccer tournament . It had a fridge to put leftovers and drinks in. Car was parked right in front of our room. The staff was helpful.
I had a pleasant stay at the Coronado Inn overall. The room was clean and comfortable, but the windows didn’t block outside noise very well, so traffic could be a bit disruptive. The bed also made some squeaky sounds, and housekeeping came a little too early, which woke us up—partly due to the thin noise insulation. Despite these issues, the location and overall value were good, making it a solid choice
I stay at "The Coronado Inn" every time I am in Coronado. The Staff is always great - with easy check in / check out! The room was very clean & perfect for short stays.
Room 11 was ideal. Perfect location, size of room, ease of parking. Staff was uniformly knowledgeable and attentive.

Exceptional place. Great staff, clean, beautiful, smart layout. They thought of everything.
Ideal location walkable to many restaurants and the beach. Great spot and lovely staff
We had a great stay! The location is perfect and the staff were all wonderful. We walked to lunch, activities at the Hotel Del. It was a mile from where my son was playing soccer. So convenient to everything we had to do. Our kids loves taking the shuttle to the Loews Hotel. They enjoyed the cinnamon rolls in the morning and the coffee! We will definitely stay again next year for the Holiday Cup!
Inexpensive option in prime location. Rooms are dated but comfortable. Ac worked great. Fridge was not as cold as I hoped for. Addressed it to front desk at check out. What was concerning was the morning we checked out we saw a cockroach by the coffee maker. Took a photo and showed the front desk manager. He insisted it was a water bug. I humored him and smiled but I think this will be our last stay...

Nice city to visit in September. First time visiting San Diego for a getaway trip on our Anniversary week. Enjoyed our stay and the weather turned out very good. Older brick building that used to be an apartment complex. Very nice rooms w/ full kitchen and in great condition. We only spent two nights here, since we were on our way up the coast on our trip. The hotel was great. Clean, attentive and helpful staffs, awesome views, and strategically located between downtown SD and the suburban areas. Had a great time.
Location is what makes this place great. It's close to Balboa Park and Downtown. They're withing 15 to 20 minutes walk. Mass transit is also nearby. We used it to get around. However, the location is getting rundown. That's too sad. It's kinda like SF. We walked to Balboa Park daily. Walked to Little Italy and Gaslamp. The Petco Park is walkable too. You can also take the bus or trolley...

We spent well over $2000 here on rooms for all of my kids and myself over Christmas 2025.Vanessa was by far the star of this resort. She made everything seamless and friendly. She went above and beyond to make our stays exceptional.
The room was clean, facility was adequate, it served the needs of a person more interested in the beach than a room.
SUPER LOCATION and Brand new remodels! I think we were one of the first in our room. Only downside, they were completing the other 16 rooms at the same time. It was noisy during the day and parking was limited by a dumpster taking up 'our' spots.
Kitchen floor dirty and room smelled. The room itself lacked amenities: dish towels , paper towels and a freezer. Checking in was a bit disappointing he wasn't too friendly. I asked for dish towels and got bath had towels. The
reuniting with family It's the beach in San Diego for people who can't afford paying $300+ per night. If you're just going to chill at the beach, it's fine, but definitely a 70's motif. Plenty of good food/nightlife withing walking distances.
This place is ok. Definitely an apartment building recently converted into a hotel. There is no office on the premises you gotta check in at another hotel two blocks away. Strange. I chose this experience as a hotel close to the airport overnight. The room was quite charming & was nice to have the historic charm. The bed was comfortable and a bath tub was clutch. Inside the bathroom there was noticeable wood rot that moved with each step which seems super sketch like...
The hotel itself was very clean and had a museum like atmoshere. Our room was very clean and well decorated. Service was great as well. Unfortunately the restaurant and bar areas were closed and there was some construction on the exterior of the building. I cant wait to go back when the restaurant and outside bar area opens up again.

Staff was friendly, clean room, great location. but didn’t like someone isn’t there 24 hours a day. Paid for parking but I didn’t have a parking spot to park, I had park on the street. Bed was pretty hard, but for a 1 night stay it’s ok. Great water pressure in the shower.
Amazing front desk staff! Very accommodating and excellent customer service! Great place to stay! Love the much needed appliances especially for longer term stays. Definitely recommend! 😊
The hotel called to check on my arrival time which was nice since I was running late. Very friendly at checkin and no issues. Had anearly flight, so didn’t spend much time there. Water pressure in the shower was super strong, so that was refreshing. Easy checkout process.
This was our first time here and it was nice: the rooms are clean but a bit outdated and in need of repair - but it was fine because the hotel is within walking distance of all, and we were only in the room to shower and sleep. It's important to note that the staff is wonderful - so kind and accommodating! The only bummer was the $10/day parking fee.
Super clean and updated old school motel. GREAT location with lots that is easy to walk to. Very nice staff. Fantastic value compared to the bigger chains that were nearby. Again- the location is so easy to walk to Shelter Island and all of those beautiful vistas. Spent 2 nights and never heard a peep from anything.

I can take no credit for discovering this gem of a hotel; that honor goes to my lady friend. The word that sprang to mind on first viewing was "quaint."
