They provided really good service and tended to their charge taking skills.

Basic no frills motel. Old decor, not super clean, but for a cheap motel, it is not bad. Pool was locked and not accessable though which was not nice.

Clean and quiet motel, free parking, 10 min walk to train station, good connection to the city within 30 min. The breakfast is very very 'basic', but a very good Mexican place is right next door. Laundry shop within 5 min walk. I recommend this place for one or two nights with low budget, if you're on the way to the Mexican border or want to go to the city of San Diego.

Very nice 3 level hotel. No elevator. Parking is included for 1 vehicle. Room was clean and fairly well maintained. The Zoo and other attractions are an easy 20 minute drive. On Wednesday evening there is a Farmers Market on Newport, lots of good fun, food, and crafts.

Was on the second floor. It’s insanely loud in the room I was staying in. You could hear people stomping up and down the stairs, loud talking etc. if you’re a light sleeper like me, don’t stay here. I barely got any sleep and the next day was super rough.

I absolutely loved my stay! It was very clean, very nice beach, the sunrise was beautiful, many wonderful places to go eat, drink, shop, honestly never a dull moment! I will be 100% coming back

Not a Boutique Hotel. Pet friendly. Should not be charging a resort fee. Thin, thin, thin walls and loud guests. Friendly front staff. No daily housekeeping, coffee machine or hair dryer. No bugs but interior falling apart - sheets and towels were clean though. Disappointed by how much I paid.

The first night of our stay a bum or a rockhead came to the door at 2:30am, no trash cans in the room,towels were small. Both hotel clerks were friendly .

The hotel was in a great location. Close to good dining options and walkable activities to include morning coffee. Only complaint was the bed- way too soft , so a bit rough waking up. But small complaint compared to the other amazing things the hotel had such as the downstairs restaurant Ponyboy.

Our stay over the New Year's weekend was pleasant and relaxing. I am especially appreciative of the housekeeping and front desk staff for their help. My husband accidentally left a suit coat and dress shirt in the wardrobe. They held it and it is being shipping it to our home in Colorado. They go above and beyond for guests.

This is actually a motel, not a hotel. Don't be fooled by the name. The rooms are poorly soundproofed; you can easily walk into them from outside. The parking lot has no security and charges a fee, even if you ask. They say there's CCTV. The good thing is that this area is a resort area, so it's relatively safe, and the hotel is quite clean.

Check in went smooth, the parking lot is very small and hard to get my midsize truck in and out, but it was free parking. The room was nice but kind of old. Not updated really. A LOT of traffic trying to maneuver in and out of the drive ways. A bit of traffic noise. But all in all worth a night.

The room has a microwave, which is very useful. Breakfast was average, with eggs and meat, and enough to fill you up. The room was above average in cleanliness, but the soundproofing was poor; you could clearly hear the door across the hall opening and closing.

Yes! I have been staying at Crown City Inn since 2014. Staff remains the same from the front desk to the Hospitality staff and Maintenance. It is worth the trip from Scottsdale, AZ.

We were allowed an early check-in to "freshen" up for my nephew's wedding. The staff was wonderful. Our room was changed from a second floor room to a first floor room which made bringing our luggage in and out of the room so easy. The room was clean and ready for us. We loved all the flowers in the outdoor courtyard. Falling asleep listening to the Ocean was absolutely incredible and you have a front row view to watch the sunset. The best thing about Coronado Beach Resort is the location. You can walk to a lot of great spots on Coronado. The worst thing is that the elevator isn’t working and it will take six to nine months to replace. It’s a stretch to call it a resort. But you can take a free shuttle to Lowe’s Resort and use their great pools and gym. I booked through ******* and ended up with a room with a pull down bed...

Ok stay, don't pay for a "kitchen" The room was spacious and in decent condition.We booked a room with a kitchen with the intent of using it The kitchen was woefully under equipped. There were no drinking glasses, semi functioning mini fridge, a broken microwave. No toaster. There were were some dishes and cookeware, broken silverware, no dishtowels, napkins or placemats. No point in paying extra...

Note that the check-in for this property is at another property a block and a half away. Limited parking an available on site so you may have to park at their other property and walk over. It’s a beachfront motel though so it’s hard to knock it!

The Cosmopolitan Hotel has never disappointed. When I want to get away from modern times and get into a time machine, I stay here.

Host was super friendly and accommodating, who called ahead of our stay to welcome us! He did an excellent job in explaining the history of the hotel and its amenities. The sheets were stained and the window blinds had gaps that were difficult to cover up for more privacy.
