San Diego, 230 Broadway (10 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Very average hence 3 stars. Excellent photos taken, just wish they matched the reality.
Pros: - Staffs are very accommodating -At times, it's quiet -Clean (except flooring, it's not moped) -Affordable -Good location -Fridge, microwave, and TV - Decent WiFi Cons: -At night, some sketchy people walk around and stand in front of your room, smoke and drink beer. It's scary if you have small kids -At times, noisy at night, a lot of people play bad loud music -Didn't request housekeeping,...
They provided really good service and tended to their charge taking skills.
Basic no frills motel. Old decor, not super clean, but for a cheap motel, it is not bad. Pool was locked and not accessable though which was not nice.
Clean and quiet motel, free parking, 10 min walk to train station, good connection to the city within 30 min. The breakfast is very very 'basic', but a very good Mexican place is right next door. Laundry shop within 5 min walk. I recommend this place for one or two nights with low budget, if you're on the way to the Mexican border or want to go to the city of San Diego.
Room was clean and guest service was good. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay the night in san Diego

Very nice 3 level hotel. No elevator. Parking is included for 1 vehicle. Room was clean and fairly well maintained. The Zoo and other attractions are an easy 20 minute drive. On Wednesday evening there is a Farmers Market on Newport, lots of good fun, food, and crafts.
Pros: - friendly staff - great location Cons: - hasn’t been updated; no elevator, rooms are dated, and the windows aren’t double pane so you hear everything from the street, including the loud music. Our stay wasn’t terrible but for the nightly rate, it could have been much better so disappointed in the value
Clean room, friendly staff, location is great, ocean view is relaxing, the only problem is not the facility it self, but there are some homeless people wandering the area. But we didn’t have safety issue.
Great place to stay when visiting Ocean Beach. Right across street from beach and plenty of restaurants/bars/shops right near on Newport Ave. Yes, the rooms are a little smaller, yes the hotel is under the airport flight line, yes it’s noisy on Wednesday evenings during farmers market, so if you’re sensitive to that stuff then look elsewhere. If you’re going to spend the entire time in the room...
Was on the second floor. It’s insanely loud in the room I was staying in. You could hear people stomping up and down the stairs, loud talking etc. if you’re a light sleeper like me, don’t stay here. I barely got any sleep and the next day was super rough.
I absolutely loved my stay! It was very clean, very nice beach, the sunrise was beautiful, many wonderful places to go eat, drink, shop, honestly never a dull moment! I will be 100% coming back

It's in a club district so it may be a little unsafe at night. The breakfast was delicious, the room was clean and it was a great stay ^ ^
BED WAS A 6/10, NOT THE WORST, NOT THE BEST. WEIRD LARE PHOTO O F A RANDOM WOMAN ON THE WALL, LIKE CREEPY LARGE. PARKING LIMITED, OVERALL, THE PROPERTY IS WHAT YOU PAY FOR, TOLIETS DID NOT FLUSH WELL. AC UNIT WORKED FINE SO DID TH TV. FRONT DESK STAFF WAS AWESOME. AGAIN, GET HAT YOU PAY FOR, A ROOM FOR THE NIGHT.
We saw two roaches. Door key hardly ever worked. Somebody had kicked in the door before and it was just patched po orly.
Not a Boutique Hotel. Pet friendly. Should not be charging a resort fee. Thin, thin, thin walls and loud guests. Friendly front staff. No daily housekeeping, coffee machine or hair dryer. No bugs but interior falling apart - sheets and towels were clean though. Disappointed by how much I paid.
The first night of our stay a bum or a rockhead came to the door at 2:30am, no trash cans in the room, towels were small. Both hotel clerks were friendly .
Great location, but it had cockroaches in the room. First time I ever saw them and have been coming to this hotel multiple times.but the property is clean.

The hotel was fantastic. I like the walking distance to the beach and great restaurants and shopping. I felt very safe there by myself. The staff went above and beyond to make sure you had everything you needed or wanted. All you had to do was ask.
Amazing Boutique Hotel Beautiful little boutique hotel a block from the beach/Hotel Del and next to all the shops and restaurants. The hotel is very stylishly decorated, offers a continental breakfast with delicious pastries plus free deckchairs and umbrella for a day at the beach. There’s also a lovely courtyard to enjoy some outdoor space. I can’t fault this hotel and will definitely return the...
Coronado Charm We LOVED this stylish, quiet boutique hotel—perfect for couples. Super clean and comfortable with excellent amenities; we especially enjoyed the large fleet of bicycles for our morning rides. We will be back!
Great Hotel in Coronado Nice little boutique hotel perfectly located by restaurants, shopping, and beach.
Staff was very friendly, clean, lovely area to walk around. There were not many breakfast options at all though.

Unfortunately the hotel didn’t live up to our expectations. The room looked pretty and was comfortable, but it smelt terrible and the bathroom was in poor condition. As other reviews suggest, the noise is really something to consider before staying here. Our room was near the bar, and we could hear all the conversations of the restaurant guests, often past midnight (we aren’t super light sleepers either...
Small menu but great food. Super relaxing environment. So close to Liberty Station!
The hotel was in a great location. Close to good dining options and walkable activities to include morning coffee. Only complaint was the bed- way too soft , so a bit rough waking up. But small complaint compared to the other amazing things the hotel had such as the downstairs restaurant Ponyboy.
The Pearl is such a sweet hidden gem, and the new vibe with restaurant and bar just Awesome
Groovy scene Truly amazing staff at a very groovy little boutique hotel with food at night that is surprisingly good.
I stayed one week solo. All the staff--from front desk to housekeeping to bartenders--were lovely to me. Wish I would have asked what kind of mattress it was because it was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've had and I slept like the dead. I also really liked the option to text the front desk for any needs like housekeeping, room service, ice, etc. They were very prompt. Excellent little...

Great location. 2 minute walk to the beach! Restaurants are within a 5 minute walk. The room was simple and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Clean and comfortable room. Great ocean view. Courteous staff. Definitely worth the money and look forward to returning.
Amazing views withing 60 seconds of beach front views. Quiet, clean, and friendly staff! Super close to food spots!
The room was about as good as expected for a beachfront inn! We ran into a couple big spiders in the room and one of the beds was a little sunken in
Checked in at 8pm and front office was closed, had to read sign on door to go down the street. Parking was fine. Room was ok, a bit stuffy and smelled stale but clean and bathroom was decent. Bedding could have been better. Partial ocean view from our room, great access to the beach and pier.
Great little spot right off the beach. Old school vibes but modern enough to not feel dated. Staff are all great!! The pool is nice as well.

Good location with In and Out & Mcdonald’s nearby. Convenient and safe parking place. Delicious breakfast. Generally, good. The only thing not good is only one small desk in the room. I get one toothbrush from receptionist.
It's old and poorly cleaned, but the location is perfect.
Was good. Service was excellent. Facilities was good. Did not get chance to eat food. Overall, for the price was a good experience.
Breakfast doesn't have much verities. Garage entrance to hotel is misleading. There's no sign.
The room is spacious, and there's a McDonald's nearby.
Room was very nice and surprisingly quiet throughout the night. Thanks.

This was our fifth Holiday Inn IHG location in our California vacation and I reckon it at the bottom of my list. The good points include a spacious and nice looking parking facility. An extension of it was even closer to some of the rooms which provides desirable comfort if you have much baggage to tackle. Other than that I couldn't find anything which could give me comfort. This was secy such stay...
Breakfast was one of the better ones I’ve seen in a hotel in quite a while. Lots of choices. Room had a good option for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap and lotion. Room wasn’t spotless. Couple of dust bunnies, but sheets and towels were white. Went barefoot in room and when I showered noticed that the bottom of my feet were clean so that’s a good sign. Staff were friendly- both the young...
The young lady who checked me in was nice and got me an upgrade my to a big room. I don’t know why people compare this hotel to a motel 6 it’s 10 times better. The housekeepers are nice and the breakfast buffet is good and the change it up everyday one day was eggs and sausage and the next day was egg omelettes and bacon. The pancake maker was the best. It was the best hotel experience. And it was...
This is an upscale chain hotel. Fast, friendly service and easy online booking make this an easy choice when visiting San Diego. It's not close to the beach, but convenient to all major attractions, if you're driving. The free parking is a bonus that you won't find down-town. There's free Wifi and a nice breakfast bar. Popular with travelers and those who know the area. The convenience store...
It was alright. Rooms are a little older and small. The walls are very thin. Location is also not the greatest but I guess it's alright for the price. Parking on site is free. Definitely had better Holiday Inn experiences.
Our stay over the New Year's weekend was pleasant and relaxing. I am especially appreciative of the housekeeping and front desk staff for their help. My husband accidentally left a suit coat and dress shirt in the wardrobe. They held it and it is being shipping it to our home in Colorado. They go above and beyond for guests.

This is actually a motel, not a hotel. Don't be fooled by the name. The rooms are poorly soundproofed; you can easily walk into them from outside. The parking lot has no security and charges a fee, even if you ask. They say there's CCTV. The good thing is that this area is a resort area, so it's relatively safe, and the hotel is quite clean.
We had a nice stay at the Shoal Hotel on this our second stay. The location is good for a walk around La Jolla. We stayed over 4 days but unfortunately the stay was marred by the guest that stayed above our room. This person had a habit of shifting a suitcase or furniture on the floor above our room when we were trying to get some sleep. This happened on a second night between 2am and 4am which...
Perfect for the night Very nice and simple. Worked great for the night. The staff was super friendly and the bed was comfortable. It has a good location for both parts of La Jolla. It’s not luxury but it is nice.
This hotel had everything we needed!! Perfect for a weekend getaway. Located in a great area with restaurants and beach walking distance away. We also loved the hot tub. Staff were also very nice and helpful
Well kept, recently remodeled. A little noisy but I slept well for the mist part. I spent a week there. I would go back.
We enjoyed our stay. It was perfect. Less than a 5 minute walk to windandsea beach. The pool was nice and quite more private than most hotel pools. We will definitely be staying again. Thank you

The staff was very helpful and accomodating when I needed to extend my stay. Location is fabulous and the property is welcoming. It's not fancy, but a great choice if you want a casual spot close to the beach. I will be back.
I don’t usually leave poor reviews but, this property was slightly disappointing, the photos didn’t really show the actual state of the rooms. Some of the furniture was worn in my room (leather peeling off of seats), the bathroom didn’t have an exhaust fan so it made the whole room humid and muggy even with the window open. Due to this there was wallpaper peeling off the walls. The didn’t give you...

Very good value and location.
Older hotel, but very clean and good area.
Yes it was clean and tidy everything was great breakfast was good and has some variety of options pretty good for the price..
Walking distance to very good restaurants and a donut shop and liquor store!
Check in went smooth, the parking lot is very small and hard to get my midsize truck in and out, but it was free parking. The room was nice but kind of old. Not updated really. A LOT of traffic trying to maneuver in and out of the drive ways. A bit of traffic noise. But all in all worth a night.
The room has a microwave, which is very useful. Breakfast was average, with eggs and meat, and enough to fill you up. The room was above average in cleanliness, but the soundproofing was poor; you could clearly hear the door across the hall opening and closing.

Friendly staff, nice restaurant, comfy bed , shower is strong, they have free water and coffee and cookie . And the location is wonderful too .
The staff was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were quaint and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
The place is great and walking distance to everything. Room was clean and customer service was excellent. I saw negative reviews about parking...the parking in front is a little tight, but the lot in the alley always had spots and was easy to get in and out. If you need your window open, it is a little noisy in the morning because it's such an enclosed space.
Yes! I have been staying at Crown City Inn since 2014. Staff remains the same from the front desk to the Hospitality staff and Maintenance. It is worth the trip from Scottsdale, AZ.

First time staying at the Andaz in California is a 3 star. I would have to say the andaz in Miami, Fl and New York are both 5 stars. I was disappointed. RIGHT next to the water! Wow! Loved the garden and the patio furniture and just walking straight out to a beautiful view in the morning. Sitting and enjoying the sunset! Right next to Sunset Cliffs. What a great little place!
We were allowed an early check-in to "freshen" up for my nephew's wedding. The staff was wonderful. Our room was changed from a second floor room to a first floor room which made bringing our luggage in and out of the room so easy. The room was clean and ready for us. The whole experience was fantastic.
For the view alone, we'll be coming back! We love the totally chill neighborhood vibe without the tourist glitz. The roses surrounding the pool have clearly been loved for decades. Great attentive staff. Easy parking and gorgeous sunsets. Really quite fab! We got the 2 bdm suite to have a sitting room, which we will do again.
We loved all the flowers in the outdoor courtyard. Falling asleep listening to the Ocean was absolutely incredible and you have a front row view to watch the sunset. The best thing about Coronado Beach Resort is the location. You can walk to a lot of great spots on Coronado. But you can take a free shuttle to Lowe’s Resort and use their great pools and gym. I booked through ******* and ended up with a room with a pull down bed...
The staff was amazing! The rooms and lobby were a little rundown and aged, however, the space was good. The hotel is in a great location, right in the middle of everything.
