It feels like it's been too long. Parking is $42 per day. No water.

[Pros] It's close to many of San Diego's major tourist attractions. It's also close to train stations (trolley and Amtrak) and bus stops, so transportation is easy. A supermarket (Ralphs) is also within a 5-minute walk, and since it's cheaper than other options, I recommend buying water and other items there. The hotel lobby wasn't that great, but the rooms were quite stylish and better than expected...

Great location; right in the middle of everything. Lots of restaurants nearby, as well as the bay. All the staff were very nice and quite pleasant.

Room was clean, quiet. The mattress was actually very very comfortable, I slept like a baby in that bed haha. Great price, great friendly staff 👍 recommended!

Convenient location. I arrived before 4pm, but they allowed me to check in without any hassle. The staff were very friendly. Valet parking was available for $42 a day.

Stayed at the Bristol while in San Diego for a concert at The Music Box. Staff was attentative and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. Also, there are plenty of eateries and shopping within walking distance. Safe and what one might say historic, I definitely recommend a stay if in the area.

I forgot to take my dop kit with all of my toiletries including my electric shaver. I called to have them save it for me and was told they didn't have it. I guess housekeeping needed it more than I did so they decided to keep it. Very sleazy.

The room has a king-size bed, which is spacious, clean and tidy. It has a good location. It is located in the gaslamp quarter and only takes 6 minutes to walk to the petrol park. It is very lively at night. There is a door control at night and you need a room card to enter, which is safe.

The staff is wonderfully kind and welcoming. The room was very clean and the grounds are beautiful. We appreciated the full breakfast every morning with many choices. We will be back!

The rooms are VERY old and are in need of a remodel. The carpet had several stains and should be replaced. The rooms look much larger online than in person.

You definitely need a car or to take Uber into town. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the beach. Other than that it’s a beautiful place and the beds were comfortable. Rooms were very clean.

The location was awesome! Short walk to the bluffs and very close to the Del Mar downtown. The bed was comfortable. The room was musty. Housekeeping starts early so if you want to sleep in forget it! Room was good, front desk staff was extremely helpful! The Nolen rooftop bar was especially great, the bartenders were on top of their game and the sunset happy hour is an excellent deal.

Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Every hotel near the Padre stadium charges a parking fee this hotel was the cheapest valet parking and nice hotel around. The walk to the stadium was very close.

Room was spottless but the customer service was extraordinarily. Especially from the worker that was working overnight on the morning on 11/2/25. Trully a tremendous job from her.

We were going to Petco. Quick walk to the park. Parking offered at hotel is expensive but worth it to not have to carrying everything to the hotel while walking through busy streets. We had a problem with AC in our room. Luckily it worked enough not to be uncomfortable but they covered some of our parking fees as a courtesy. Staff were super nice and friendly. I would stay here again

Great stay We had a great stay!! The bathroom counter space was the only issue we had. We found it difficult to place our toiletries and my wife's make up around the sink without having to remove items.

Great location, friendly service… But if you’re going to park a car, $65 a night is a lot!

Everything was wonderful! The staff always friendly and professional, the place was decked out in Halloween decorations and the location offers amazing views and a great restaurant downstairs!

Very relaxing and super comfortable beds. Deck area perfect and super clean. Just need Nespresso machines in room or coffee in the lobby. Love The Point crepe shop up the block.

We stayed for two nights. The staff tried to help with a problematic issue we've had, again and again. When they couldn't solve it we were issued a compensation we've never imagined to receive. This is exactly how a hotel should take care of its customers!.

The hotel itself is very pretty — the staff was genuinely kind and the beach access couldn’t be more convenient. It really does have that relaxing, vacation vibe at first glance. That said, the room itself was… not it for the price. The A/C unit was so loud that it vibrated the entire room, which made it hard to sleep comfortably. The Ocean Park Inn  was great! Fantastic location ＞ on the beach and in the middle of a lot of action but quiet rooms -at least ours were. Very clean large-ish rooms and hotel in general with an adequate breakfast, pool and hot tub included. It was perfect for us!

Room was nice and clean. We had an issue with our room key and while the staff let us hang in another room for over an hour; it was very inconvenient as it was late and we had an early flight and just wanted to go to bed. No explanation, just a cursory "sorry".

The room was nice, but it smelled damp. I guess it's because it's been there for a long time! It's very convenient to go to the beach. The kids like the American breakfast very much. Parking is free. We just need to park the car at the door. When we check in, we can get a card by giving her the car key. When we go out, we can show her the card and get the car. This is great. The room was very small, the bed sheets were not changed, and the hotel as a whole felt run-down. The double bed is not suitable for 2 people...it is too narrow. I left a tip under the pillow but no one took it, so no one cleaned the place. We love the this hotel. The staff is delightful, rooms are large and while a little dated very clean and well appointed. Breakfast is amazing, including sitting right in front of the ocean views with coffee and eggs. And the location… Absolutely amazing!

The Inn's location was perfect. It's right along the coast with wonderful views of the ocean. Our room was clean with decent bed and toiletries. The breakfast was very adequate with a selection of fruits, breads and proteins. The availability of coffee, teas, sodas, waters was great and very convenient.

Pros: Ocean front/beach view so location is phenomenal. Okay hotel for price room key kept breaking after one use so had to go to reception every time! Paper thin walls so fingers crossed you don’t have a screaming child next door like us!

Clean room, soft and comfortable bed. Choose a room with 2 beds (5 foot bed). There is a microwave, safe, iron, refrigerator. Breakfast 6-9am has bread, waffles, bagels, cereal, milk, juice, oranges, apples, boiled eggs. Room deposit $10 charged by credit card and refunded the next day. Plenty of parking, safe.

We were in town to welcome home our daughter whose in the navy, the hojo was decently priced and in a convenient location for easy travel to the naval base.

It's quite close to the oceanarium and zoo. It's the cheapest motel I could find on weekends. There's no breakfast, and the mattress in the room is a bit old. Parking is also sufficient.

The pictures on the website provides false information vs when you get their. Towels were stained, beds would sink in the middle and you can feel the coils. The room smelled musty.

Odd building.  Narrow hallways, maze like.  Elevator is tiny.  Room was small and cramped.  Unpleasant combination of elevator, hallways and stairs to get to our room.   Nice simple snack shop in lobby.  Nice pool.  $50 deposit on a card when you check in.  I wanted to hate the place because of the building design but didn’t.

Parking on-site, easy and friendly check-in. Sadly, the walls are a bit thin, so you hear noisy neighbors. Rooms were clean and good value for the money. Right next to the freeway.

Great friendly staff. They cleaned the rooms each morning replacing used towels, remaking beds etc. The room had an A/C unit that worked well on hotter days. There was plenty of parking (although i didn't have a rental car). My only complaint was wifi was spotty and unreliable at times.

They charged for parking. They charged for early check in we just needed to dump our luggage didn’t need to check in. My hair dryer didn’t work. The tub pooled when you showered and washed your hair. No warning how noisy it was. At least in SanFran they supplied earplugs and were honest. I won’t stay here again. The only good thing was it was close to old town and the airport.

An exceptionally clean, well maintained small hotel within walking distance of the old Town (local restaurants and Shops). The General Manager, Brian, and staff do an excellent job of serving as hosts.

The staff was exceptional. Great customer service from Wendy and Gabriel. However the room needs some updating. Lighting was almost nonexistent. There was only one small table the room and the light in the bathroom . I literally had to use a flashlight to see some of the things in the room at night.

The staff was amazing and very welcoming from the moment we checked in. Once I notified them we were in town for my nephews graduation from bootcamp they immediately asked how they could help us out and if we had any questions to please ask. I can’t express how grateful we are to them!!!

Did a 4 day solo trip to PB. Decided to stay at the Surfer Beach Hotel due to location and affordable cost. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortabthe

The staff was helpful. The room wasn’t the worse, the shower is super small!! They fail to mention that you have to pay for parking! And as you can imagine it varies depending on the day. There is public parking but good luck getting anywhere near that! I could have stayed at a resort and had parking for free and the resort fees would have been less than this parking!

The room view is too beautiful but there are a few things that the hotel definitely needed some love period but it also is getting renovated so I had the perfect trip period and we lucked out and were able to get on street parking and save 37 a night

We liked staying at this hotel because of the location. Beach walking for exercise and people watching is right outside the door and there are many nearby dining areas.

It’s nice but their breakfast place is so small

The location felt rather remote, the service was so-so, and the food was average, but it got very crowded during mealtimes. There was no room service, and we waited a long time for towels. The only good thing was that they arranged our check-in in advance.

Parking spaces are atrociously tight and it always run out if you return late at night, decent room located next to sea world so not bad but be cautious with parking if you are driving here.

We booked a double bed, but the room we were given had two beds. We only provided two bottles of mineral water, no matter how many days we stayed. There was a smell when we first entered the room. The front desk worker, Sheila was truly a heavensend. We showed up late but she was professional and helpful. She had an amazing attitude. Inly complaint is the location is extremely secluded, which is peaceful but is difficult to navigate and i was unable to find a walkable path out of the area.

It's a cheap hotel in an excellent location that's best communicable by car, but public transportation is available. There are no convenient shops within walking distance. Superior air and a place to sleep.
