Affordable stay with a great location near the airport and with convenient access to major roadways. We were upgraded to the renovated rooms. They were decent and the beds were comfortable. If youd prefer to spend your money exploring San Diego rather than paying more for a room I highly recommend.

The room was freezing cold and I put the heater on , but it only got colder. Had to wait for maintenance to come fix it . We wasted time waiting for that . The rooms were dirty, like the bathrooms had pubic hair in it , weren’t even wiped down , so I had to go to the cvs to get cleaning supplies . I guess it depends if you are in the main building or the outer buildings. Was a bit shocked when we had to walk outside to our rooms. Great location and free shuttle to the airport. Had my wedding reception here and it was absolutely perfect. Huge shoutout to Amanda and her team for all their help putting everything together. Located at convoy so good for food, has wide parking spaces but might run out on busy days if u return late, pretty good room but doesn’t clean your room until you checkout so keep that in mind, 15-20 minute drive to downtown, overall hotel I would recommend.

Had a fantastic stay for a week conference. Kamal and Josh at valet parking were wonderful to me. I had to leave every day to my conference. They were amazing ensuring I always have my car promptly and be at my meetings on time. The room was very spacious, clean and cute with the whole Margaritavill/Jimmy Buffet theme. The hotel was very nice and clean and great value for the money. It just sits in a strange pocket of an area that is sketch. The hotel next door attracts a seedy crowd and there are many vagrants hanging around. However, once you got to main road the area was fine and very close to everything. I did enjoy my stay and would stay here again.

The guest services were not my issue. But the bathroom floor was not very clean, and the bed sizes are a joke. Brittany and Stephanie were great though. They were polite and were doing the best to provide our accommodations. My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was a very nice hotel. Good amenities and it all felt very nice. But the trouble was the location. It’s in a very ghetto area, with several strip clubs not even a block away and most of the room’s view could be taken up by ads for weed stores. We stayed a week and enjoyed our stay. The location is a bit shady and paying for parking is something I've never heard of before so I gave it a 4 star. It is central to everything we wanted to see and do so that was a great for us.

I stayed at this hotel because of its low price, and I thought it was a good value for money. It's a bit of a walk from the nearest bus stop, but the front desk staff were very helpful, and it's located in Little Italy, so it's safe to get around.

The room was very clean. There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, and it's just a 15-minute walk to the aircraft carrier.

The hotel is OK. The location is very good if you want to be close to Old Town, and it is also convenient to Ocean Beach and the rest of Point Loma. My only complaint is parking. There isn't enough surface parking. If you park overnight in their garage, you will be charged $30. That's probably mentioned somewhere during check in, but I didn't catch it.

Our room had a leak from the ceiling during our stay. Staff wasn’t too friendly other than the valet guys. Restaurant was a disaster, food was not fresh and warmed up in the microwave. One side was warm other was cold. Would not stay again.

We arrived earlier than the 4 p.m. check-in time so we could grab lunch before checking in, and we left our luggage and carry-on at the front desk. After check-in, our luggage took 30 minutes to be delivered. The carry-on wasn’t delivered at all, so I had to go to the front desk to claim it. The night front desk person was nice, but the day front desk gentleman wasn’t very courteous.

I’m really disappointed that you put us in an area of your hotel that you knew had a broken elevator and was broken prior to us booking. Stayed in a non ocean view room but still ended up being able to see the ocean from our balcony. Room was told to be newly renovated which was nice. Everything looked new except for the bathtub/shower. Location can’t be beat and while it was too chilly to use the pool we still enjoyed sunsets from the pool area which was lovely.

The hotel has a very convenient location, close to many attractions and beach. However, the soundproofing is really poor. You can clearly hear footsteps and noise from the room above, which made it hard to relax and get a good night’s sleep. The stay would have been much more pleasant if the rooms were better insulated against noise. Overall, good location but would not recommend for light sleepers

The location was good and the rooms were very nice although a bit smaller than one would expect. The hotel fell short for business travelers not having any coffee in the room. Our room was missing the chairs that were supposed to be at the table in the kitchenette. The bathroom needed more hooks for hanging wet towels to dry. There was 5 of us with luggage and when asked for a cart they didn’t have any available to use.

I went to the center of San Diego, and I still think the Hilton is good. The health environment and services are good. Safety comes first when I go out. I think the facilities are good and it is a pleasant travel experience.

There was a few flees on the couch, someone kept knocking early in the morning and we looked through the peep hole and it looked like someone was at the wrong door.

The Handlery Hotel stay was great. Rooms were clean and the pool area was open even with the Rain on new year’s 2026. We got food and drinks from their pool area bar at a good price, the food was great. It’s a little outdated and it could use some upgrades or amenities added, but it had the San Diego look. I tried canceling my room because my daughter's plan changed. She was going into bootcamp and having a hard time. I understand their cancellation policy I just thought they would take into consideration the reason as to why I had to cancel. If not a full refund maybe a partial.

There is no elevator, so it is difficult to carry large luggage up to the second floor, but being able to do laundry is a great thing during a long trip. The bar is small but has drinks and food, and being able to eat by the pool was very convenient.

The tv reception was fuzzy at best. The pool bartenders were excellent!

I love classic, iconic hotels. La Valencia is not one of them. The front desk staff was unfriendly and inhospitable. Pillows are hard and lumpy. It felt very dated and lacked the charm I was hoping to find. There is so much potential here and I hope they invest in a renovation soon. The concierge and valet were professional and personable. Not many options in La Jolla but not worth the $$$.
