The housekeeper just throw my belongings without checking if it’s a trash or not.
I personally won’t stay here again. Bad interaction for me with the front desk, lady. Definitely overpriced. And for me, I’d rather just go stay somewhere else.
Room was nice, but the room was missing the complimentary slippers, pen for writing, laundry bag and enough towels for 2 guests. Luckily, there was an employee cleaning another room and she gave us the towels which we really needed.
Beautiful location, super convenient and great amenities. Other than a briefly short-staffed counter and restaurant service a couple times, we had a great 4 night stay with a fun view of Petco Park and loved the cozy atmosphere. Peloton bike in the fitness room, umbrella to borrow for the rain and very clean room. Cozy furnishings, nice breakfast and rooftop restaurant in the afternoon. Also a little...
My wife and I just spent 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and modern. We ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant each morning and were blown away by the service provided by Sergio and Victor. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome while attending to our every need. Food was so good we never even considered going anywhere else.
This review is long overdue! Since 2024, this hotel has been my go-to choice whenever I need a place to stay in San Diego. The customer service here is consistently excellent, and the rooms are always clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. One of the biggest perks is that I can bring my dog with me, which makes traveling so much easier.
What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the exceptional...

Great view, good food at Blue restaurant. Having amenities.
Excellent location, with a sea view right from the window, and the service was warm and welcoming.
It's in a great location on a leisure and vacation island with hundreds of yachts nearby. The scenery is fantastic, and it's convenient for walking and jogging. However, the room was a bit old and had a slight musty smell, so it needed to be ventilated for a while. Fortunately, there were doors and windows at the front and back, so ventilation was smooth.
It is a 3 star hotel and that’s what you get. The room is adequate but it’s quite bare for what you are paying. Body wash had run out, there was no toothbrush or slippers, lights were quite dim, the fan didn’t work. The room shows its age. Nevertheless, it is in a very scenic location. You’ll need to rent a car to take full advantage
The hotel is very big, and it takes some walking distance from the lobby to where you stay. The facilities are generally old, but it is still quiet.
I went to San Diego on a business trip and found a small hotel like a motel. A very bad experience was that the parking lot was right in front of the room... There were noises as I walked by, and the hotel check-in was slow. Although the room is old, it is clean. What I don't understand is that there is no mineral water in the room. You have to buy it separately. You have to go to the front desk to...

Affordable stay with a great location near the airport and with convenient access to major roadways. We were upgraded to the renovated rooms. They were decent and the beds were comfortable. If youd prefer to spend your money exploring San Diego rather than paying more for a room I highly recommend.
Amazing hotel loved the stay. The entire staff was super friendly and accommodating from the shuttle guy, front desk, housekeepers and bartender. Lovely pool spa area and nice gym. Great rooms and location is less than 10 minute drive to airport. Great hotel bar with lots of TVs and good drinks menu. The cookie and water was tasty. No complaints would def stay here again
The room was freezing cold and I put the heater on , but it only got colder. Had to wait for maintenance to come fix it . We wasted time waiting for that . The rooms were dirty, like the bathrooms had pubic hair in it , weren’t even wiped down , so I had to go to the cvs to get cleaning supplies . The heater was so loud I couldn’t hear the tv , and the place smelled moldy and had construction goin...
I guess it depends if you are in the main building or the outer buildings. Was a bit shocked when we had to walk outside to our rooms. Great location and free shuttle to the airport. Shout out to George L (Front office manager) to give me a warm welcome. If you manage your expectations then you won't be disappointed if you get the rooms that is not in the main building.
Had my wedding reception here and it was absolutely perfect. Huge shoutout to Amanda and her team for all their help putting everything together. Amanda was always there to answer any questions I had, and the whole process went so smoothly.
I also stayed in one of the suites for the rest of my wedding trip, and everything was so clean and perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for any event or even...
The rooms are kinda old and the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything! But they do have a quiet side with signs up. It only helps if you have quiet neighbors though. You can get your parking validated at the front desk. Location is great.

Great place to stay … just the change in customer service has been so-so
The kids really like the pool.
Nice hotel.
Pretty good hotel near the airport. Can hear some noise as the walls and doors are not very noise proof.
The service was excellent from the time I walked in until the time I left. Everyone was so helpful and gave me undivided attention. I will come back again
Located at convoy so good for food, has wide parking spaces but might run out on busy days if u return late, pretty good room but doesn’t clean your room until you checkout so keep that in mind, 15-20 minute drive to downtown, overall hotel I would recommend.
The breakfast served as buffet style, and the servers were very nice.

Staff are extremely nice and helpful. Bed is very comfy. However, Room itself is abit outdated and shower water temperature is abit unstable. Window is thin, i can hear clearly the highway
Very low quality for Sheraton standarts, I was really surprised. You can stay somewhere much nicer with this cost
Good service with the receptionist man and AC technician.
Perfect location in the middle of San Diego with easy access to most freeways. Clean room and comfy beds.
Nice pool area. Parking is secure but with an extra charge. The only downside is the breakfast, boring with only a few varieties, no vegetables or cheese or ham/turkey, only 1 type of eggs which is scrambled.
My family had a good time staying at your hotel. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was helpful.
Not up to the mark of a Sheraton.
Dated room, can hardly pull bathroom door, kits missing.
Tv like that of 80’s and channels flickering, evening receptionist not welcoming just one liner replies.

Awesome all the way around. Bummer no pool and not disclosed. For 1200 I wanted that amenity and chose the property for that reason
The room was wonderful and everyone was super nice the staff even called a cab for me when it was time to leave
the hotel was nice the room was clean but the amenities were mediocre, no shower cap or Q-tips that sort of thing that you expect when you pay the price we paid.
Beautiful hotel and rooms were top notch 👌 Roof top bar and pool were a bonus. Easy parking close by and walkable to local bars and restaurants.
Bed was great.Room was great. Didn’t eat there. Had drinks on the roof top patio and bar. It was great.
Staff was great, rooftop was nice with good vibes. Room was nice except the AC wasn’t working well the first night and the hallway was stuffy and had a smell.
Over all the hotel was good and I’d go back again. I was surprised to see the amount of homelessness around the area and the streets were dirty. They kept it off the block but it was 1 block either direction. I felt safe at the property itself...

The hotel is practically brand new, the facilities are beautifully decorated, everything fits the concept of beach, relaxation, and the good life. The room we were assigned had great size and we loved the decor.
The valet service is friendly and attentive. The location is exceptional, close to most tourist attractions, surrounded by restaurants and bars.

Had a fantastic stay for a week conference. Kamal and Josh at valet parking were wonderful to me. I had to leave every day to my conference. They were amazing ensuring I always have my car promptly and be at my meetings on time. The room was very spacious, clean and cute with the whole Margaritavill/Jimmy Buffet theme. Looking forward to come back for my next stay.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and really enjoyed our time there. Everything was very clean, the rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, and the rooftop pool was excellent — especially since it was heated.
Valet parking is quite expensive at $60 per night, but it’s the best option and feels very safe. A special shout-out to Kamal, who works with the valet parking. He was extremely helpful...
Our family is having a blast here at Margaritaville Hotel San Diego! The decor throughout is fun and lively. Our room is spacious with a beautiful view.
The night time entertainment at Fins was top notch (Jonny Tarr). What really was the icing on the cake was Kamal on the car Valet team. He has been so courteous and kind and has given us some fantastic suggestions for sight seeing and restaurants....
The hotel only has valet parking for $65 a day/night. You have in and out privileges all day though. I believe until 9pm and then you have to pay for the next day automatically for valet but double check this. There’s a $35 resort fee each night and $200 deposit required at check-in. There's an option to park around the corner for way less though like $25 a day. It can be hard to get parking at these...

The hotel was very nice and clean and great value for the money. It just sits in a strange pocket of an area that is sketch. The hotel next door attracts a seedy crowd and there are many vagrants hanging around. However, once you got to main road the area was fine and very close to everything. I did enjoy my stay and would stay here again.
The guest services were not my issue. But the bathroom floor was not very clean, and the bed sizes are a joke. Brittany and Stephanie were great though. They were polite and were doing the best to provide our accommodations. This hotel's idea of a king size bed is actually a queen, and their queen is actually a full size bed - Just so you know what you're getting. We don't see ourselves staying here...
My boyfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary and it was a very nice hotel. Good amenities and it all felt very nice. But the trouble was the location. It’s in a very ghetto area, with several strip clubs not even a block away and most of the room’s view could be taken up by ads for weed stores. Has to pay $20/day for parking and the front desk even recommended we didn’t seek out free parking...
Started overnight for two nights. First night came in late but had previously spoken with the front desk about coming late at night. It was for a buffet which had a decent standard hotel breakfast. Both rooms we stayed in were clean an tidy. We had...
Always great here. Friendly and efficient staff, quiet hotel, nice pillows. Good free coffee in the morning. Better than higher end hotels in Starwood without being fancy or expensive. Perfect alternative to downtown hotels. Short ride to business district
We stayed a week and enjoyed our stay. The location is a bit shady and paying for parking is something I've never heard of before so I gave it a 4 star. It is central to everything we wanted to see and do so that was a great for us.

I stayed for four nights to watch a Padres game. The room quality and service were excellent and well worth the price.

The service was excellent
First choice for business travel
The location is very good
Check-in service feels very good
Perfect for a solo business trip. Nice and clean. Friendly staff.
The location of the hotel is very convenient on Broadway. The hotel rooms are served 24 hours a day, and there are free fruits including oranges and apples at the front desk. It's too late. Regular cleaning, the attitude of the front desk is okay, but there is no money to change. The room is relatively small, and the three-star hotel is a bit expensive for this fare.

The rooms were good sized. Their products smelled amazing. The property had a great courtyard with games and a variety of sitting areas. The breakfast was very expensive and they had 25% in additional surcharges. We won’t eat there again however we will stay there again.
When we travel to San Diego, we always stay on Shelter Island because we like the area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For the price, Kona Kai is not worth the amount of money you pay to stay there. The resort was nice, but the cost of the rooms and resort fees are excessive. I believe the other hotels on the island are just as nice and far more affordable. Other issues: the bar at the adult...
Clean & updated , very pricey for what it is. Basically a hotel room with pool access in a nice area. Not with the price in my opinion. We had a good deal we thought but after the additional cost of parking and resort fees we won’t be back.
Fees were crazy...I have stayed at 4 star resorts in Hawaii where the resort fees were just over half of what they are here and the valet parking was included...Kona Kai gets you for an extra $100/Night for these 2 fees. Room was very comfortable, but probably not worth it in the end.

The best hotel so close to everything💕
I stayed at this hotel because of its low price, and I thought it was a good value for money. It's a bit of a walk from the nearest bus stop, but the front desk staff were very helpful, and it's located in Little Italy, so it's safe to get around.
The front desk staff were very helpful. They explained things to me using their own translator.
The room was very clean. There are plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, and it's just a 15-minute walk to the aircraft carrier.
Great location. Lots of restaurants nearby. Walking distance to cruise port. Will stay here again.
Great experience! The room was very clean and well equiped with a tiny kitchenette, fridge, microwave, hairdryer and an iron. Everything was fine. The hotel is placed directly at the famous food-mile "Little Italy" and very closed to the USS Midway Aircraft carrier museum. Just 10 minutes walk to the party-mile "Gaslamp Quarter".

The hotel is OK. The location is very good if you want to be close to Old Town, and it is also convenient to Ocean Beach and the rest of Point Loma.
My only complaint is parking. There isn't enough surface parking. If you park overnight in their garage, you will be charged $30. That's probably mentioned somewhere during check in, but I didn't catch it.

LOVED my stay at this hotel. Wayfarer was clean and cute and right on the beach. We can't wait to come back!
Stayed in a non ocean view room but still ended up being able to see the ocean from our balcony. Room was told to be newly renovated which was nice. Everything looked new except for the bathtub/shower. Location can’t be beat and while it was too chilly to use the pool we still enjoyed sunsets from the pool area which was lovely.
The location is great but the pillows and blankets smell awful
The hotel has a very convenient location, close to many attractions and beach. However, the soundproofing is really poor. You can clearly hear footsteps and noise from the room above, which made it hard to relax and get a good night’s sleep. The stay would have been much more pleasant if the rooms were better insulated against noise. Overall, good location but would not recommend for light sleepers
