W Hotel in Fort Lauderdale

The main pool wasnt open, the elevators barely worked, I got a piece of plastic in my food. Mold in shower , condensation from the ceiling , besides that was great

We are currently staying at the hotel and booked a higher priced higher end hotel, but these rooms are terrible. I feel very uncomfortable in this room and honestly am looking at booking earlier flights home because it does not live up to expectations.

The lobby is gorgeous and it’s clear that’s where the high end standard stops.

The cabinet where the mini fridge is placed is completely missing the front door. The carpet that meets the floor to ceiling window is missing about a half inch of carpet.

When we went to the beach to get chairs I stood at the attendant desk for a couple minutes right in front of him and he didn’t even acknowledge me. Another attendance came up and asked if he had greeted me and I said no so he was happy to help me.

When I pick up the phone to dial the front desk or any extension, it doesn’t go anywhere. I had to call the hotel in my cell phone to reach someone. The only option for the air is freezing cold. I have it set for 79, the thermostat reads 80 but it’s easily 65 in the room.

We stayed at a courtyard Marriott before our cruise this week that was so much nicer than this. Feels like a worn down party hotel for college kids, not a place I want to be with my family.

There’s really nothing 5 star about this hotel besides the location and aesthetic. The rooms are open concept and offer zero privacy, so if you’re rooming with someone be prepared to step out when they have to use the bathroom or take a shower. The room service website makes zero sense and doesn’t allow you to navigate correctly. Currently still here but this has so far been a waste.
