Excellent hotel. Very convenient location if you come on a cruise. The port is nearby. Lots of options for breakfast. Friendly staff.

This is a beautiful hotel with a very spacious and inviting lobby, with comfortable seating throughout the lounge area. We arrived shortly after noon and were delighted to find our room was ready, with an excellent view of the bay. The room itself is quite spacious and quiet. We had a nice lunch at the in-house restaurant, ToroToro, and we'll be returning for dinner. The area is quite walkable, with a myriad of nearby shopping and dining options. This was our first stay at an InterContinental hotel, and we look forward to returning.

Service was decent, room design is nice with lots of drawers. The big bathroom is rare in older hotels. Really like the view of the Bay and the location of hotel. Will come again next time!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, the staff was polite and professional, and the level of customer service was excellent. The view from our window was absolutely beautiful, and the soundproofing was great — very quiet and comfortable.

We did have a small issue with parking due to the size of our vehicle, as it was larger than usual. However, the entire team went above and beyond to help us. The valet parking staff, hotel employees, and especially the manager, Pablo, did everything possible to resolve the situation and make sure our stay was comfortable and stress-free.

Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

The room's soundproofing wasn't great, and the hairdryer in the bathroom was very old. The hotel's surroundings were lovely, but overall, the service felt pretty average. I even had to wait in line to check out.

Had a great first night, so I immediately booked another stay. This time, the front desk guy was a bit cooler (less friendly), but he still granted our request for a 3 PM checkout.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Hospitality & Vegetarian Experience at InterContinental Miami

My friends often say that you don’t receive the same level of hospitality or food abroad as you do in India—especially as a vegetarian. However, after staying internationally, particularly in the U.S., I can confidently say that InterContinental has completely changed this perception for me.

I am a loyal guest of this brand and usually book club lounge access, and the privileges I receive—especially as a vegetarian—are consistently outstanding.

This time, I stayed at InterContinental Miami – Chopin Plaza, and the experience exceeded all expectations.

The hospitality was truly exceptional, and the food was absolutely amazing. A special mention to Chef John, who personally curated a variety of vegetarian dishes for me. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and genuinely delicious—it felt personalized and heartfelt.

The staff made our stay even more memorable. Andre and Sordya were incredibly warm, attentive, and professional. There was also a wonderful lady at the lounge entrance whose name I unfortunately missed, but her kindness and welcoming nature did not go unnoticed.

This stay reaffirmed my trust in the InterContinental brand. The care, attention to detail, and respect for guest preferences—especially dietary needs—are truly commendable.
I would highly recommend InterContinental Miami to anyone looking for top-notch hospitality, excellent food, and a truly premium experience.
Thank you for making our stay so special.

Coming from DC, staying at the InterContinental in Miami was a smart choice. The main reason was convenience; it's right next to Bayfront Park, and a taxi from the airport was probably only around $20. Since check-in wasn't until 3 PM, and Americans are unlikely to be flexible, we landed around 10 AM and took a taxi directly to Sawgrass Mills—the largest outlet mall in the US—which cost about $50. Our driver was Colombian, and we chatted the whole way. The shopping experience there was even better than Woodbury; they had all the major brands, and especially since Miami is so hot, they had a full range of fall/winter styles and sizes. We reluctantly took a taxi back to the hotel around 4 PM; the Black driver was quite aggressive, and there was some traffic getting into the city. Upon arrival, the bellhop enthusiastically helped with our luggage (a tip was a must), and check-in went smoothly. We booked a partial bay view king room. The room wasn't huge, about 20+ square meters, with a king-sized bed that was about two meters wide. The bedding was very comfortable, and the bathroom had both a tub and a shower. Overall, it felt relatively new, and the cleanliness met InterContinental standards. After a short rest on the first night, we went to the Kaseya Center to watch an NBA game between the Miami Heat and the Dallas Mavericks. We got nosebleed seats on the app for only $32 each, a $12 premium. The arena was just a ten-minute walk from the hotel, very close and convenient. The atmosphere was incredible, much better than Wukesong. Especially with the live DJ, hot dances, and big screen transitions, it truly lived up to its reputation as Shaq and Hardaway's home court. The viewing experience was on par with Madison Square Garden in New York; Americans are all about eating, drinking, and having fun during the game. We embraced the local culture and bought popcorn, pizza, hot dogs, and beer (they didn't ask for ID, but it was a bit pricey at $15). Amidst all the cheering, the Heat won 106:102 in a nail-biter. The next day, we had an early morning shuttle to Key West, so we didn't book breakfast at the hotel. There's a Starbucks inside the InterContinental, and grabbing two packed breakfasts for $40 in the morning was very convenient. The shuttle pick-up point was just a few hundred meters from the hotel, outside the Holiday Inn. We stopped at CVS for snacks and water. The day trip was booked on Viator for only $49 per person round trip to Key West, though activities there cost extra. The shuttle departed at 7:30 AM, stopping at McDonald's for a 30-minute break for supplies around 9 AM. After that, it was a series of 'keys' and scenic overseas highway bridges. Passing Seven Mile Bridge, its beauty certainly lived up to its reputation. We arrived in Key West at 11 AM, with six hours to explore the island. We took the Conch Train for $45 per person, which gave us an hour-long tour of the old town, with the driver also acting as a lively guide. The sea breeze made it incredibly pleasant. After getting off, we went to the mall converted from a Coast Guard building and had a Cuba Queen Coffee. Everyone says Cuban coffee is good, and it really was rich and smooth; I couldn't resist buying two pounds. Then, we walked along the main street, accompanied by various roosters, past Mallory Square, the Little White House, Hemingway's Home (admission $18, with timed tours, and we found six cats!), and the Southernmost Point. We walked past the US-1 Mile Marker 0 sign and made a special trip back to the post office to mail postcards we bought at Hemingway's house. Postage to China was $1.70. It was a tight schedule, but we boarded the return bus before 5:30 PM, arriving back in Miami at 9 PM. We immediately headed to CVI.CHE 105, ranked number one for Peruvian food, and it was the best meal we had during our ten days in the US, very suitable for Chinese palates. We ordered seafood paella and grilled octopus; the desserts were a bit too sweet. About a third of the customers were Chinese. This trendy restaurant was pretty good, costing around $60 per person. It closed at 10:30 PM, and after a satisfying meal, it was just a few minutes walk back to the InterContinental—still convenient. On the third day, we skipped breakfast and took a taxi to South Pointe Park in South Beach at 8:30 AM. It wasn't crowded yet, filled with handsome men and beautiful women, along with uncles, all out for their morning exercise. Walking along the beach, there were already people surfing and playing in the water. Personally, I felt it was much more refreshing than Sanya. We didn't plan to swim, so after a walk, we took a taxi to Wynwood Walls to see the graffiti. It's a huge district; while painting one wall can be considered scribbling, when it's all over the place, it becomes art. Looking at the photos later, it was even more stunning, though the neighborhood itself was a bit messy. Feeling hungry, we took a taxi to Little Havana to try the famous Sanguich, a Cuban sandwich. We were lucky to get a table at 11:30 AM. We ordered the Cubano and Bistec, milkshakes, and hot and iced coffee. The generous amount of meat combined with the perfectly toasted bread was like a Cuban 'roujiamo,' and it was definitely on par with the cheesesteak at Reading Terminal Market in Philadelphia—so delicious! Half the customers were Chinese, so be prepared to wait an hour. We returned to the hotel and checked out before 2 PM. We headed to the PortMiami for a harbor tour. Although we missed our planned boat trip, we stumbled upon Thrill Miami. It was a large speedboat, and we were the only two Chinese people on board. It was incredibly thrilling, highly recommended! It cost only $45 per person for about fifty minutes, marking the end of our three-day Miami trip.

Great location and super clean hotel. Room was very comfortable with king size bed and lovely city views. Service was great from start to finish. Would highly recommend for travellers looking for accommodation before or after cruising.

The hotel is great BUT, trip.com is AWFUL!! They have hidden fee that NOT describe anywhere of 45$ a night!!
Am thinking of having a class action (*********** just lost one similar in Israel) which is easy money..)-;

I have been to this restaurant twice, both times the view, decor and food were amazing. However, this week for an important anniversary the service for such a wonderful restaurant made the night a horrible experience.

After complaining about the service being rushed, management said that one of the head managing waiters would be placed at our table. When we complained about drinks that were not brought together the head waiter actually argued with us.

We paid for our delicious food and left. Service should be up to par for the cost of this restaurant. Busy is no excuse for bad service.

I hope that if we give this place another shot the service would be the same as the first time we came.

Our son was visiting from out of town and chose his one dinner out with his new bride to be at Il Gabbiano. Sadly, they were very disappointed. Other than the view, nothing else was worth talking about. Practically ignored by their server, food mediocre, and just very disappointing. We feel badly that their hard-earned money (and we know it's not inexpensive there) was spent on such a lackluster experience. Too many good restaurants in Miami to head back here.

Top notch place. The real Italian food. Owned by Italians. The service is impeccable. The quality is outstanding and experience make the difference

Absolutely amazing. Outdoor seating with great view, fresh tomatoes were outstanding. White sauces better than red. Ask what pastas are freshly made, makes all the difference.

I booked a table for my fiancee birthday dinner for two. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER !! The service was so FABULOUS. They made us feel very special from the first moment to the last. I am very picky and I must say the food was PERFECT. there is just no other way to say it. They even prepared my dish (off the menu) without the slightest hesitation. We will be returning and bringing friends to experience how wonderful this restaurant is.

To begin with, the customer service is absolutely poor quality. I've eaten there about 2 times and both experiences were disappointing. The very second time I decided to dine at Hibachi, the girl which works at the register, which told me her name is "Diane" has a nasty sarcastic attitude. When I asked to speak to the manager she told me she was the manager and the only manager. She also told me there was no way to get into contact with the owner. My waitress Ariana attended me slow as she was entertaining who seems to be her boyfriend outside while in a work environment. This business is unprofessional and unsanitary. The portion of food is quite a small amount, as the owner seems to be cheap. There are no napkins on the table neither did the waitress bring me some or offered. The sauce bottles were also filthy on top. One of my biggest pet peeves while ordering food at Hibachi, while standing at the register to order my food I noticed that meats were kept frozen so its not really "fresh quality" and the person who fixed plates touched food without gloves as I noticed no one in the kitchen was wearing any gloves.
18.11.2017 Sarai
Food tastes great...service is less than great...lots of rushing. Portion sizes are questionable. Ordered shrimp and chicken and had to open the box to make sure there were shrimp. There were 4.
11.11.2017 Shanika
Food was very good and fresh and they have your order ready fast no waiting
02.11.2017 LILIA
The waitress could not explain the menu. The food took 30 minutes and the restaurant had only 1 table waiting for food. I ordered a kung pao chicken. Pretty BAD, salty and the sauce was LIQUID getting mixed with the side vegetables which were pretty small. I should read the reviews before going there. Is a NO - NO. CARO, MALO Y FEO
27.07.2017 Ananya
While the food here is excellent. The portions are ridiculously small for the price. They need to fix one of the two. The second gripe is the abysmal quality of service. You can see the irritation in their faces when you approach them for something. Even after your request, it takes forever to be fulfilled, if not a second calling.

That being said if you want spicy, tell them that sternly. Miami in general seems to be afraid of adding spice to food. You can request for red chilli powder on the side as well.
