Check in process was easy and the staff was awesome as he guided me through the process. The hotel room is cleaned and well maintained and the view was immaculate. Location is great it was only a few minute walk from the station to get to the hotel. The washroom was a little old but it was clean. I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Chicago as it is a good hotel to stay at
Very good river view, and excellent service.
Very good river view, and excellent service.
The hotel is old, the corridors are not very clean, the air conditioning was broken and there was no heating. It is located in the city center, in a very bustling area. The American breakfast was plentiful and quite good.
The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to all the main attractions. Self-check-in was super fast and convenient. The only minor drawback was that only one elevator was operating, which sometimes meant a long wait. However, even that didn't detract from our overall positive impression.
The waiter is nice, free coffee and drinking water are provided, and the location is convenient

Had a very pleasant stay. Thoughtful to have many convenient USB points, as well as a hdmi port at the work table. Would have been perfect if the TV could be rotated to face the work table and be used as a 2nd monitor.
The couch was nicely firm and comfy
The hotel and staff went above and beyond our expectations, provided a complementary wheel chair, extended our check out time, and help by bringing our luggage to the room. Due to weather we stayed to make my husband's early morning heart doctor appointment without having to drive 3 hours in bad weather. We will certainly stay here whenever we have the opportunity again.
Great room - I liked the mid-century modern finishes. I also really enjoyed the fitness center and pool/hot tub.
We loved the experience here, fantastic room and view in addition the restaurant it was great!! 100% recommend
We had a great stay. The room was wonderful and the Manager, Debbie G. did an outstanding job addressing our needs.
We were satisfied with our room and restaurant. However, the pool and jacuzzi were not clean.

The room was nice, the staff was on point and very kind and accommodating. Parking was easy. We love to stay there for Bears home games and walk to the stadium. We also had breakfast at the restaurant and it was amazing so definitely try it.
This is my favorite hotel in Chicago. It's on Michigan Avenue, in a great location. The hotel has a historic feel but isn't oppressive. It's a super beautiful hotel, highly recommended, and offers excellent value for money.
Good location, very historic hotel, old facilities. The location is quite convenient. Can stay
It's not like a hotel, it doesn't provide anything, but the room is good and the service attitude is good
Great location. My room was very clean and spacious. I really loved the decoration of the room as well.
The room was upgraded and was nice and spacious. The location is right in front of Millennium Park, so it's great for exploring downtown Chicago 👍🏻

Definitely will go there again. Very nice place which is located in Downtown. You go out and can find everything whatever you want.
The location is convenient, close to the subway station, and the front desk service was pretty good. However, the safe in the room was broken and unusable. It seems there's a bar downstairs, but it wasn't noisy up in the room. I recommend requesting a high-floor room as the air conditioning units outside on the lower floors can be quite loud.
This is a super cute vintage looking hotel. We stayed on the night of 29th November. The private quad is perfect for friends to crash for the night. The view from our room was nice. The bar and the lounge on the first floor was super cute and nice. Special mention to the receptionist - I forgot to ask his name, but African American dude. He is the best. Amazing hospitality from the staff.
It’s a cute place, and you pay for what you get. Bring ear plugs. Our room was super loud, and right next to a parking garage. The room was cozy, and the updated aspects felt like a nice addition. Our bathroom had a leak and it made the bathroom smell like pee. Couldn’t really use the bathroom trash can because it needed to catch the water. Let the staff know when we left, but didn’t say...
A perfect hotel for travelers looking for a clean, convenient place to stay without paying extra for fancy accommodations.
If you just need a clean and comfy bed, a toilet, and a shower this is the way to go for sure.
Staff and service were great. Location can’t be beat. Everything felt clean and comfortable.
Small room, but quiet and met my needs just fine. The room was clean and comfortable. The only things I would have liked to have seen would be an outlet near the desk area (only ones were near the bed) so I could more easily utilize the desk for working and a coffee maker, but honestly it worked out just fine. The staff were great from the bar to the front desk. Enjoyed my experience and plan to stay...

The location is super convenient, surrounded by famous shops, and the area feels very safe. The room itself is spacious and comfortable. Great value for money! I'd definitely recommend it to friends visiting Chicago.
Hotel was nice rooms a bit older
Walk to 360 Chicago, shops restaurants
Bus service to downtown
Had a nice stay
The room was clean and well-equipped. The restaurant service was excellent, but the front desk service was poor. The hotel is located on a commercial street, offering convenient transportation. It's very easy to get around the city on foot or by public transport.
Great service, but there's a daily service fee. The hotel is generally clean and tidy. The location is excellent, with lots of activity nearby and convenient transportation. It's only about 50 meters from the 360 Chicago Observation Deck.
close to subway and bus station
breakfast is good but limited selections, eggs, sausage, bacon and breads. And also tea and coffee, some fruits.
The hotel was located near a mall and many luxury branded shops, going to places and back was easy with public transport if you get a Ventra card in advance.
The hotel room itself is nothing like the pictures shown on the listing. The room was very dull and gloomy looking with having to rely on the lamps to light up the room. When I entered into the room with my fiancé we both felt started feeling...

The hotel's location is great, making it super convenient for dining out and shopping, and transportation is easily accessible. The cleanliness was good, with tidy and hygienic bedding and amenities. The soundproofing in the room was quite good, especially for a US hotel. However, the window in this room type faced a building that was too close, so there wasn't much of a view.
Booking by a third party seems to irritate the staff at check in
Beautiful hotel! Love the lobby bar and the rooftop seating with gorgeous fire tables offer lovely city landscape backdrops for amazing photos. Bonus points for being connected to Nordstrom/ my husband always appreciates sitting at the Nordstrom bar while I shop! The cookies and good beverage credits for complimentary cocktails is a nice touch. They also threw in complimentary tix to the Skydeck...
We rooms are always lovely and we had breakfast both mornings at your hotel. Meridith waited on us both days and she was excellent. Personable and welcoming.
Arrived at around 3pm.....rooms not ready...give us 20 minutes and we will notify you when one is available. Okay, sure...(it was really late in the day already...but it is holidays so)....go sit in bar area and have food. No notification....so close to 4pm re-approach front desk. Room is ready... Nice hotel with a good location
Very noisy, fell short of expectations
Great location next to Bally’s Casino and across from Trader Joe’s. Self parking was really easy through third-party app. Just right me behind a hotel in the same building. I really like the hotel and the room.
The room is big and the hotel also has a small gallery, which is nice for strolling around. The location is very good. The price/performance ratio is also very good. I highly recommend it and will stay here again next time.
The hotel had too many reservations for our room type and switched us too a larger room. Unfortunately the reason we booked the 2 double beds was because we were 2 opposite sex friends sharing a room. The hotel could only offer a roll-in or use of the rooms "daybed".

Good location to stay,20 mins walk to riverwalk
I chose this hotel because of its walking proximity to a business-related destination. It is ideally situated in the beautiful Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago.
Other reviews have cited bait-and-switch hidden fees. These seemed to involve third-party vendors, and at checkout I witnessed other guests’ upset as they contested their bills. The hotel’s website is more transparent on fees — if you read...
I never developed such hostility towards a hotel in 20 years of traveling. I hope you can avoid what I had to gone through. Here, hospitality is scarce and service none. You deserve better accommodations elsewhere.
1. 30+mins check in. Granted, long lanes are typical during peak hours, but queue moves especially slow here due to 1) only two front desk staffs 2) they have to explain the $89.95 mandatory...

The food was amazing, stayed an extra day due to personal reasons. The hotel offers $16 off on the restaurant downstairs, excellent food. While I was there, hit the gym too, definitely got everything you need to do a work out. Highly recommend this hotel.
Everything was really good, nice view and nice beverages provided foc at the lobby. Only they provided 2 bottle soof drinking water every 3 days, which means we got one time only.

We picked a city view and this did not disappoint! We were on the 10 floor looking out to the lake . The team of people from the door person , front desk team and restaurant were very helpful.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel, and it easily stood out compared to others in the area. The location was ideal, with plenty of nearby shops and dining options, which made getting around simple and stress-free.

Overall, it offered a great balance of comfort...
The room is nice and clean. The housekeeping is very good and worthy of praise.
Minor disadvantages: The windows are not soundproof enough and the gym is average.
The Hyatt Centric The Loop Chicago is a fantastic hotel for anyone looking to stay in the heart of the city. Great hotel in the center of downtown. I was able to walk everywhere. I stayed in town for the river dyeing on St. Patrick’s Day weekend and was a 10 min walk from the river. I booked 6 months in advance and got a great deal for 3 nights in downtown Chicago.
My room was very nice. Temperature control was great. I wish room service was available but I did get a chance to eat at the restaurant downstairs which was pretty tasty. I would recommend a stay . And considering future stays

Joyce and Jean really made my stay at the Chicago Athletic Association one of the most stellar experiences I’ve ever had. The location couldn’t be better—right across from The Bean. The hotel is gorgeous, old-style elegance with a beautiful, antique-like bar, a cozy fireplace, and fabulous wooden details throughout. The food and drinks were excellent.
The service was outstanding and attentive, from the bellman to the janitorial staff. The rooms are spacious, with a very comfortable large king bed. Overall, a great experience...
Room was great the bar was a bit loud and they now have part of the lobby as restaurant which is kinda annoying but forgivable for how nice the hotel is

The Godfrey has a great location. The rooms are clean, modern and well maintained, just don’t get an end room on the 10th floor. Right outside my end room were the strobe lights for the top of the building. The curtains do not cover the windows fully so the strobe lights come through making your room a rave until midnight. The Godfrey nails it when it comes to location—smack in the middle of River North with everything walkable. The rooftop bar is a real highlight: great views, solid drinks, and a fun scene without trying too hard.

Went for a business trip, has a very cool rooftop bar and a restaurant. Great rooms, great products in the bathroom as well. Good views depending on the side you get.
