The rooms are modern and lovely, a little small, but they're well-designed with attention to detail. Be sure to meet Duke (a golden retriever), the head of public relations (he's closed on weekends, by the way). The hotel hosts happy hour daily from 5 to 7, and they serve free beer from a local brewery. Last but not least, the entire staff made the experience worthwhile—they have a casual, businesslike atmosphere, which I really enjoyed, as the entire team was so welcoming. Thanks to Brian and Paul for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this place.

Great Hotel and friendly staff

Wonderful and affordable location in the heart of Chicago. The reception is very friendly. You can save lot of time for the activities in the downtown. Everything was on the walking distance. If they can improve their breakfast options a bit, that will be great. Definitely recommend it.

This hotel is in a great location. It's walkable to many restaurants and other fun things to do in the city. We went to a Cubs game and were able to walk 5 minutes to the red line, which drops you off right at Wrigley field. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're going to a game but also want to stay in the city! This hotel offers amenities that others do not anymore - free breakfast and a daily complimentary happy hour! The rooms and rest of the property is kept clean, as well. Lastly, the staff is amazing! They were so helpful while we were there, but they also went above and beyond after checkout. I accidentally shipped some items to the hotel after we left, and they helped me reship it to my home! Fantastic customer service!! I will be a repeat customer just because of that! I would recommend anyone stay here - solo travelers, couples, and families!

I stayed here on Labor Day weekend. The staff were all incredibly welcoming and gave great service. They all even greet you when you walk in or leave.

The hotel has a free two-hour long happy hour and continental breakfast. It was in a great location, not far from Michigan Avenue.

The room was really nice. One cool touch they had was Tumi soaps. I’ve never seen a hotel with that.

I want to come back here again!

Really terrific stay! Room was spacious, clean, and updated nicely. The complimentary happy hour and breakfast were a pleasant surprise. The staff we encountered were extremely hospitable. The icing on the cake is the location in River North—fabulous. Would happily stay again, highly recommend.

My one critique is only with the website—it’s glitchy. It gave me a lot of grief when I tried to book directly (so I eventually went to a third party), and when I emailed the Kinzie Hotel contact email to try to clarify, no one ever got back to me (hence the third party booking). So, to my surprise at check in, they had me down for two rooms (although I never received a confirmation email from the hotel directly). However, the receptionist graciously took care of that for me at check in.

My boyfriend and I were in town just for the night. We didn't check in until almost 6 p.m.--it was convenient to have some good restaurants right across the street, by the way :) Our room was spotless. I appreciated the extra pillow in the closet, too. We didn't really take advantage of any of the amenities but were told we had free drinks at happy hour and then breakfast the next morning. We don't drink, and we slept in too late to have breakfast; but it was really nice that that was offered. Thank you. We come to Chicago a couple of times a year (we live in Wisconsin) and will definitely stay at the Kinzie again. Really nice experience.

Pleasant staff made for easy check in and check out. Clean and sizable rooms. Good value for location in major US city!

We just stayed here and it was 10/10! The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful - especially Edgar at front desk. The room was spotless and happy hour was perfect for beverages and snacks. Jose at happy hour was sweet and so kind! For those reviews that complained - it’s a hotel in the middle of the city - you are going to hear noises outside sometimes. The continental breakfast is perfect to start your day - nothing fancy - the basics and the coffee was actually good! The staff worked tirelessly to tidy up and keep everything restocked. Last but not least the location was wonderful! Walkable to everything. Will definitely be back!

The location is very central. Next to the Trump Tower. You can basically walk to all the major attractions. The downside is that breakfast is just an all-you-can-eat burger.

Overpriced tourist trap that caters to unsuspecting yahoos who don't know any better.

I came with a group of 8. Derek served us without hesitation. I asked for an old fashioned, and it did not disappointment. Derek took care of us. He made the best old fashioned I have ever had. If I ever come back to Chicago, I will absolutely come back to this bar.

This place is a joke
Cocktails are terrible
The table was dirty wet and sticky
We had 3 different type cocktails and all 3 were just disgusting
Food: fries for 18$, server brought spoon for dessert without napkin and put it on the dirty table.
Also ordered grilled octopus, it actually tasted pretty good but it was cold
So if you are looking for a place to make a couple nice pictures u can go here
If you are looking for a restaurant don't ever go here, you will just wasted your time and money

Awful service. No assistance or apology offered from manager. Spent over $500 on lunch for 7 people, never received part of the order. Were told 30 minutes after we ordered that they were out of mussels. So, like fools, we ordered the Benjamin burher($100) instead. This was not brought to the table for 40 minutes. Overall terrible experience. Would not recommend.

One star only for the view.
Absolutely everything else, to a T, was awful.
We came with a party of four. They didn't have two of the drinks on the menu available. The one drink we ordered, which they "had available" was not brought to us. Instead they took the liberty of bringing us a completely different drink.

They also didn't have food items available. We ended up ordering a lobster roll which was $36 for a bun that was 95% filled with veggies and 5% with a measley substance that was supposed to pass off for lobster.

Two of us ordered a Plate of Octopus, which turned into a scavenger hunt of finding an actual octopus piece on the plate, among the 95% of veggies. A more accurate description would have been - a plate of lettuce and Cabbage in a gravy of sauce , with a garnish of octopus. Zero flavor.

Last and absolutely worst - service! Incredibly slow. I. E. They brought out our appetizer at the END of our meal. With no apology or acknowledgment of their mistake. My meal was brought about ten minutes after everyone else's. Again, no attempt made to appease the customer. The terrace was unbelievably cold and they told us we couldn't sit in an area near the gas lamps because that area wasn't served.

All in all. Extremely overpriced, with awful service and cheap substitutes for what a meal at the price listed should be. Avoid.

Had a great lunch today. Our server, Ryan was very hospitable and accommodating of us as we are both vegan. The food was delicious and hot and the portions were very generous.

Walked slightly off the beaten path of Michigan Avenue to this gem of a restaurant. It was surprisingly not crowded, and we received excellent service. The food was better than expected, and we avoided some long lines by choosing this over some deep dish.

Do not go here. My wife and I went to the bar and were completely ignored. When we were acknowledged it took forever to order anything. Once we did order something I had to ask for silverware and was given paper napkins not proper utensils. Our server Eileen was more interested in talking to her friends then serving her guests properly. I’ve never given one star and if I could give zero I would. Awful service, awful staff and the worst PF Chang’s I have ever been to. Do Not Go Here. They treat people like trash. The napkins were what I was given when I asked for proper utensils.

My fiancé and I went here last night. We were seated in an area where 3 servers were available. Not one acknowledged us for 15 minutes. We saw a hostess make a round of the area and approach a server. We overheard table 3 needed to be seen. 5 more minutes had passed and I approached that same hostess. She said they were “working” on it. Out of respect and good service, an apology would have been nice. Instead, a server just showed up and acted as if nothing happened. We didn’t even have water!

Only reason its 1 star is that there is no 0 star option. Ordered from there for delivery. After one hour of wait, I receive an e-mail that the delivery was successful, although I still hadn't received the food. Turns out they delivered it to an incorrect address, not even close to mine (found out from Amazon Restaurants not from them as they wouldn't even answer their phone when I tried to notify them). Of course didn't receive any apology or compensation from their side either. terrible!

Great service and great pizza! Would definitely dine here again. Cute and tucked away from the street.

Takes a little time for serving but the food is so worth it and the price is pretty much decent and affordable. Ordered the individual deep dish cheese pizza with bacon and chicken toppings and it was great! Also the sandwiches and pasta are worth a try. Has a nice drink options and also nice views.

First off, the service here is bad. It took forever for them to make an omelette. The waitress kept coming back to the table to make sure she had the order correct. It was very quiet and the two waitresses were running around clueless. It may be hard to believe, but it actually seemed like the waitresses were helping cook in the kitchen. They would disappear into the back and come out frantic serving food. The icing on the cake was when our waitress messed up our bill and acted as if she was doing us a favor by not charging us the coffee, but it is included in the breakfast.

The food here is incredibly bland and on the verge of tasting just plain bad. How do you get an omelette wrong? We are talking eggs here. Avoid this place at all costs.

The tacked-on “Italian Bistro & Pizzeria” is the first clue that this location of Bacino’s goes well beyond the “heart healthy” thin and stuffed pies that put this Chicago chain on the map. The decent breakfast selection includes waffles and omelettes, but we’d recommend going in the afternoon or evening for one of the nine pasta plates and, yes, the pizza.
08.10.2017 Noel
This is a "gem" of a spot hidden beside trump tower in Chicago. Great staff and met the owner. It's a family business so cool it's not a chain. Best pizza I ever had!!
